I thought i would read a sensible comment. Why the "change" slogan when they knew they are not ready to create new models?
The party slogan could mean many things. While a lot of people assumed it meant change for the better, the party founders might have thought they meant to change the government, a determination which became a slogan.

You don't just create newer models for creating sake. It is one major reason why Trump's government is having issues today.

He is wrong in many ways. It is not just about building or creating new models just so the older ones could be obsolete.

Positive continuity is key and vital in any government. A newer model would mean a restart and a deeper dive into the country's resources which could yield little or no return in the end.

Challenging some older models is a disaster waiting to happen.

If it isn't Lagos, it is Rivers/Port Harcourt. If it isn't the aforementioned two, then it has to be Abuja. State governors should start looking for a way to attract investors and multinational companies so as to create open doors for teeming graduates.
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: The Salary Of A Social Media Manager. by Sanchez01(m): 7:36am On Mar 31, 2018
Immaculatesnow:
dude if you need or want to work with a good social media you have to look at these things before paying someone like me for example

1) i have over 1500 subscribers on youtube, over half a million views and 12000 hours watched content

2) i have over 1200 usa followers on facebook, over 40 groups on facebook with over 1 million followers combined

3) i have close 1000 followers on twitter

4) over 200 followers on soundcloud

5) finally my social engagement is pretty high for a newbie

so for a brand to pay me to manager all their social network platform and grow it and mine cost me 50k monthly to run between internet data 15k and government electricity 35k total of 50k, that brand has to pay me a minimum of 120,000 naira monthly for me to work effectively for them and for a long time.
You're missing it. Being an SMM far transcends beyond your own social media accounts.

A couple of things to put into consideration before stamping your worth in a supposed employer's face would be;

1. How often do you keep your personal social media accounts updated?

2. Have you ever worked for a popular figure or brand in the same capacity before?

3. If yes, how long did you work and why did you part ways with them?

4. If yes to number 3, you might be asked to point to your 'works' while with your previous employer.

5. Sense of humour is key. Every potential employer would want someone who can turn around an arrow shot at them into a carrot without having to insult the person behind the arrow.

6. Being a social media addict is not enough. A social media manager automatically becomes the first brand manager, even when there is a specific individual for that role. What you tweet, write, say or do behind the company's or individual's account means a whole lot.

7. To be able to earn a whole lot and call the shots in this field, you must be able to give the people or customers, fans the impression that 'the handler' is super intelligent. A breaking point would be to differentiate yourself from the brand you represent online. Being a savvy at it. So much so that you have your own fans.

Should you not meet or have some of these things needed to succeed, you just might go far by managing an upcoming act, thinking you are posting in behalf of your brand when in reality you are only posting and spamming.

Interesting.

So I followed the link to read what the town hall meeting was about, and nothing was written about that.

What concerns would Zamfara have that Buhari visited? Fulani Herdsmen?bad roads?lack of electricity?what exactly?maybe their school girls were abducted right?

He should visit and then revisit Benue State for their own version of town hall meetings, where his attention is mostly needed.

He should then go to Dapchi for another town hall meeting with the parents of the girls that were abducted by the BH,and try to tell the parents of the five girls that died why our security apparatus failed them.

To call this man CLUELESS, is elevating his level of intelligence to that of Goodluck Jonathan.

Webmasters › Re: Why You Should Avoid Buying Themeforest Themes by Sanchez01(op): 1:14pm On Mar 22, 2018
webapi:
Some of the reasons why a plugin doesn't function after you deactivate a theme is because those plugins are custom plugins that are created along side the theme. If you blame it on themeforest then you are probably blaming it on wordpress as a whole. Now if you claim the codes are heavy and all that, that's because you are using the theme's data. You have the option of buying a theme, install and start designing from scratch without using it's data. Lastly as a developer you know wordpress is an open-source platform so you can create your own themes. Stop trying to bash themeforest. They are not theme creators, they are just a marketplace.
I don't know how knowledgeable you are with web development but with the above, I guess it would be fair to say you little or nothing about it. Perhaps you were in a hurry, which is a forgivable error. I mentioned this in my second point, I believe. Majority of themes being sold on Themeforest are poorly coded and 'touching' the codes have a way of putting you into some next level misery.

Where's the wisdom in buying a theme for about $105 and start working on it afresh instead of building something similar from the scratch without having to buy?

See it this way, Themeforest connect theme creators/designers with willing buyers (who are mostly novice) and these theme designers (not sure I'd want to call them developers) understand that bloathing their themes with fanciful touches which clog and impact website performances would only yield returns. Safe to say you can majorly find them on Themeforest.

Of all the plugins that have come with my themes, I have never seen a special or exclusive plugin come with them. Plugin such as visual editor (premium) is just about the only one that comes with them. And last I checked, it is available to everyone.

Theme lock has been pinned to a handful of themes on Themeforest. Again, read up on my introduction of Themeforest, perhaps you wouldn't have being on the defensive like you did.

Webmasters › Why You Should Avoid Buying Themeforest Themes by Sanchez01(op): 10:02am On Mar 22, 2018
This is as a result of my observation and experience after buying and using four (4) different premium themes from Themeforest.

Themeforest is the haven of all Wordpress novice. I used to love it greatly way back until I became knowledgeable on web development.

For starters, Themeforest is a massive marketplace for all types of designs for websites, including static HTML/CSS templates and themes for the major content management systems (CMS). With the immense popularity of WordPress, the WordPress section of Themeforest is understandably the most popular in the world (perhaps I am exaggerating).

So below are my reasons why I strongly guide against using themes from Themeforest for your website.

1. Sadly, majority, if not all themes on the marketplace are bloated with unnecessary codes, making such themes larger than necessary when simple line of codes would have done the trick. Bloated themes mean bigger files and larger database to accommodate them.

2. Most themes from Themeforest are poorly coded. I recall a full week back and forth with the support staff of Amy Movies over some modifications I wanted which they couldn't find a way around. It was so bad I had to push the site into construction mode as the landing page was horribly messed up.

Below is a comment from a website;
Take the Genesis Framework for example: Genesis is probably the most flexible theme you’ll find on the market thanks to all of its available hooks. Those comfortable enough with code can control every area of their site with true flexibility. Not a single theme on Themeforest offers this type of flexibility. This means that you will need to hack the theme’s files and attempt to navigate the shitty code to make changes that would be very simple with Genesis.
3. Impact on site performance (speed): Every visitor loves it when they visit a site and it loads instantly. Before ditching my Themeforest themes, my site speed was so bad that it was still loading God-knows-what at 6-7 seconds. Of course it affected my site ranking and the bounce rate was way off. Quite frustrating, particularly during my site auditing on SEOPTIMER and PINGDOM.

4. Theme Lock: I got to know about theme lock while deactivating/uninstalling themes purchased on Themeforest for some alternatives. What is theme lock, really? Theme lock occurs when a WordPress user cannot change his or her theme without gutting most of the site’s functionality. Once the theme is deactivated, it deactivates things like shortcodes and custom post types that were registered by the theme. Without these features that the user has heavily incorporated into the site, things fall apart. Page/post content will display the literal text for theme-dependent shortcodes and custom content will disappear. In a nutshell, this makes the entire site a huge mess and a major pain in the ass to clean up. Any code that creates functionality belongs in a plugin, not a theme. Themes are for display ONLY.

It doesn't make any sense buying a premium that won't offer flexibility as one would expect. Themeforest themes are great, classy and stylish, no doubt. But they are disasters when long term goals are consider and would help destroy your site's reputation.

Christianity Etc › Re: Why I Want To Quit Catholicism by Sanchez01(m): 3:03am On Mar 13, 2018
nwamehn:
I wished u would have the time to list those many more u meant.
But to the points u highlighted here:
1. Do u know why that bowing to images is not really enough reason to discredit the Catholic church? The reason is that we cannot as we ar now confirm that it wasn't God that ordered them to mould those images they bow to. We can only condemn them if we ar sure that it wasn't God that instructed them to mould those images, look up to or bow to them. Numbers 21 vs 6-9 shows where God instructed Moses to mould an image - a serpent such that whoever that was bitten would look up to it and be healed. Exodus 25 vs 18-22 shows where God commanded Moses to mould two winged creatures on the ark of covenant which was kept in the temple all through.
My point is this, if God doesn't expressly give u the command to mould any image or look up or bow to it, then once u do it, u have sinned against the second commandment, but if He is the one that commands u to do that as He did to Moses on those two occasions I referred to above, then u didn't sin. Question is, has the Catholic church told us that it wasn't God that commanded them to mould all those images? How then can we condemn them based on what we don't know yet?

2. Christ is the mediator between us and God the Father, Catholic church didn't elevate Mary to be the mediator between us and God the Father. Christ never placed any person as a mediator between us and Christ. Catholic church only included Mary to mediate between us and Christ which is just an ordinary waste of time to me since Christ said we can approach Him directly, it doesn't mean they ar now a false church for approaching Mary for her to approach Christ. Paul said in 1 Cor 11 vs 1, follow me as I follow Christ. He didn't say follow Christ directly, which was what Christ had preached all His life before He died, but he said follow me as I follow Christ, so does it mean that the Corinthian church that he wrote that letter to follow him as he followed Christ was a false church?

3. The third point u made is one valid point here. Peter wasn't the first Pope. Bible didn't even record that Peter visited Rome, whether for a short period or to establish a church there. Bible also didn't record that Jesus established any church let alone establishing Catholic church. And other churches also came before Catholic church emerged eg Jewish Christianity, Judaizing (not Judaism), Greek Orthodox church etc. So, even if Peter were to be the leader of the first church based on Matthew 16 vs 18, then it could have been any of these churches older than the Catholic church not the Catholic church.
So, boss, u ar very right on this one.

4. For ur fourth point, Catholic church wasn't the first people to create such divisions making some people clergy and others laity and they ar not also the only church doing that today. Paul also did that in the Bible in 1 Tim 3 where he gave separate rules to guide bishops and apostles aside his general rules of Christianity given in his epistles.
Paul also divided the church into men and women for a reason, 1 Cor 14 vs 34-35, he said that women should not talk in church but be silent always, maybe he did it because of the issues they were having in the Corinthian church then, but remember that there is no division that is worse than that. No wonder, some modern day churches don't even obey it.
So, boss, creating division in the church is not enough reason to see the catholic church as a false church because Paul also did same, and so many present day churches differentiate between the pastoral team and the rest of the congregation. They even give the pastoral team elevated seats in some churches separate from the rest of the congregation.
Don't turn the Bible inside out to defend a false practice. The case of the serpent is quite different and nowhere did it take place apart from the era of Moses.

When you litter and ascribe worship and 'honour' to statues of a supposed Jesus hanging on a rood and a supposed Mary making a peace sign, then you indirectly state that the torn veil after the passing of Christ holds no significance.

What then is the essence of the Holy Spirit if indeed you are instructed to slam your heads before images and carved stones?

How about we talk about the 'honouring' of Mary which was never announced or taught in the Scripture?

Perhaps we trace the root of purgatory and juxtapose how it aligns with God's Word, particularly in Revelation.

If the Catholic church could deify Mary to be the mediator between them and Christ, perhaps there is another need to deify Joseph to be the mediator between Catholics and Mary.

About Peter being the first Pope, I don't really understand why this is an issue, particularly on visiting Rome or not. The office of the Pope was never mentioned in the Scripture. That of the Deacon, the Apostle, the Pastor, the Bishop, the Evangelist and so on but not once did the office of the Pope come to light. How then was Peter a Pope or a Catholic at that when he neither taught or wrote on the practice of 'honouring' Mary?

Hellenism and Catholicism are sibling practices.

False practices and doctrines remain what they are and should be painted as such. The Bible equally remains the litmus test of doctrines.

So they should show you a computation of Net pay in an emoloyment letter? Bro i repeat, many companies show the breakdown of your gross only, of course they tell you there will be a pension contributions (which is mandatory at 8%), even if they didn't tell you, its common sense to know about pension.
I think the problem here is that you assume too much. However, what I will tell you is that there are degrees of employment letters, depending on the reputation of the company you work for.

In my own case, it was five pages;

1. The letter itself and terms of contract (3 Pages)

2. Net breakdown (2 Pages)

Not every company would do that but then, it does not mean that it is not detailed or broken down for some folks.

I dont know about you but what i have on my employment letter (and so many other people i know) is Gross Emolument, i have never seen Net pay on Employment contract before, it will typically read that the pay is subject to all applicable taxes.
Then permit me to say you need to start questioning your organisation. Your company or the organisation you work for should be able to provide a detailed breakdown of your NET which involves a whole lot. If it only captures gross then serious questions need to be asked.
