It's obvious the PDP camp has been restless over this election. A lot has changed, scales have fallen from the eyes of the masses and the Otuoke man must fight in every possible way to make sure that the "Ordinary stealing is not corruption" motto will come to stay in 2015.

Politics › Nigeria2015: Jonathan Wants Buhari Disqualified by Sanchez01(op): 6:11pm On Jan 12, 2015

President Goodluck Jonathan’s campaign team has asked for the disqualification of the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Muhammadu Buhari, from next month’s election.

In an address by its spokesperson, Femi Fani-Kayode, the campaign team also accused the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, of deliberately allowing Mr. Buhari to contest the February 14 election even after he has ‘failed’ to meet the basic educational qualification required to run.

Mr. Fani-Kayode, who addressed a press conference on Saturday in Abuja, said the inability of Mr. Buhari to present the minimum requirement of a school leaving certificate questions his morals and other credentials for pursuing the position of the president of Nigeria.
Mr. Buhari’s academic qualification generated controversy recently after it emerged he submitted a sworn affidavit at a Federal High Court, FCT, High Court Abuja to the effect that all his academic qualifications were with the Secretary of the Military Board.
His party, the APC, through its spokesperson, Lai Mohammed, said Mr. Buhari lost original copies of his credentials when his house was raided while he was in detention; and that he had been using court affidavits since then.

“General Muhammadu Buhari was in detention for over three years; while in detention, captors raided his residence and vandalised his property including certificates and diplomas; and that consequently, after his release, whenever the General is asked about his academic qualifications, he would refer such bodies to the Military Command, who has his service records including his academic certificates,” Mr. Mohammed said in a chat with Leadership Newspaper last weekend.

He also said Mr. Buhari had taken the same procedure for the 2003, 2007 and 2011 elections in which he was a candidate.
Mr. Jonathan’s campaign team, however, said it is not satisfied.

“Academic qualification is a threshold issue that cannot be waived for any citizen no matter how highly-placed and irrespective of whichever region such individual comes from except as provided by the constitution,” Mr. Fani-Kayode said.
The former minister cited Section 131 of the Nigerian constitution which states that: “A person shall be qualified for election to the office of President if: (a) He is a citizen of Nigeria by birth (b) He has attained the age of forty years(c) He is a member of a political party and is sponsored by that political party; and (d) He has been educated up to at least School certificate level or its equivalent.”
Mr. Fani-Kayode said section 131 (d) is a specific directional order for all candidates to show proof of education up to a minimum standard not below school certificate or its equivalent.

“But from what INEC has published, Buhari has not submitted any personal particular of minimum school leaving certificate for the 2015 election and, shockingly, from INEC documents displayed in all constituencies, he also did not submit anything in 2011 and never referred the electoral umpire then to the Secretary of the Military Board as well as previous elections he contested as evidenced in all available INEC records until this current discovery.

“If the constitution did not require proof, it would not specify a minimum,” he said.

Electoral Act

The former Minister of Aviation added that the current Electoral Act directs that proof of educational qualification must be sworn to by each candidate at a Court under Section 31 (ii) to (v).
He noted that for elections to the office of the president and for the purpose of display of particulars of candidates for all presidential elections, the entire country is taken as one constituency.

“Nigerians that have perused the affidavit of nomination as submitted by General Buhari and as published in all INEC offices, as well as the copies of his similar INEC documentations for 2011 election, could see clearly that General Buhari who claims to be a man of integrity has not been true to Nigerians.

“It can be seen, as indicated in section 31(6), that there are reasonable grounds to believe that a false deponent was declared in the affidavit where it indicates that all documents relating to the personal particulars of General Buhari are with the Secretary of the Military Board,” he said.

He said in the form he filled for the 2015 election, Mr. Buhari referred INEC to the Military Board for copies of his educational qualification, even after Section C of the form states that candidates should “attach evidence of all educational qualifications.”
He also said it was curious that Mr. Buhari did not refer INEC to the military board in 2011.

Mr. Fani-Kayode said the military board like any other body does not keep or retain original copies of personal particulars of individuals such as birth certificates, passports, and academic credentials of any personnel, especially retired personnel after over 3 decades.
“It must be stated that INEC erred in law by publishing the name of a candidate without receiving the personal particulars of the candidate within 7 days of receiving his nomination forms as indicated in section 31(3),” he said.
“This is indeed a tragedy illustrating what Nigeria has become, that an individual is so powerful that the law has to be ignored to accommodate him.

“Certainly, INEC printed nomination forms or High Court affidavits are, in no way or by any stretch of definitions, the same as personal particulars such as school leaving certificate.”
The former aviation minister said the Jonathan campaign is convinced that Mr. Buhari “is not qualified to contest the 2015 presidential election.”

President Goodluck Jonathan has promised two million jobs yearly if re-elected into office.
Mr. Jonathan spoke Monday in Ibadan, Oyo State, were he met supporters of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, ahead of the February 14 election.

The News Agency of Nigeria, NAN, quoted the president as saying he will generate jobs for the teeming unemployed population in Nigeria.
He did not say how that will happen, after largely failing to provide as many jobs in the last six years as president.
Besides corruption and insecurity, the Jonathan administration is persistently criticised over the huge unemployed population in the country.
The government has always pointed to its Small and Medium Scale support programme, Youwin, which gives grants to only 1,200 people yearly.

The government says the programme has engaged hundreds of thousands, a figure that has been questioned.
The government has also failed to defend its claim that it created 1.6 million jobs in 2013.
At the Ibadan campaign, Mr. Jonathan also lauded South-West leaders for promoting equity, human rights, saying he will continue to respect and work with people from the zone.
The president also said the votes of Nigerian women will either liberate or sanction them to the kitchen, urging women to vote for PDP.

When you get your Africard, turn to the back of the card, look out for a client identification 10 digits at the right end of the card.
Always use the 10 digits to fill a teller bank account number and your name. Ensure you fund your card before 4pm on any day you choose to.
NB: The customer care rep should breeze you through it though.
Happy Online Shopping.
EmmanuelD1st:
You can fund the card just the way you make a deposit into a bank account in the banking hall, the only difference is that you write down the client identification number which at the back of the card on the boxes provided for acct. Number on the deposit slip. After completely filling the deposit slip which include the amount you want to fund the card with to writing the name on the card onto the slip etc. take the slip and the card to the cashier, tell him/her that you want to fund the card. That's all...Upon receiving the card you are still going to be told how to fund, activate for both atm and online transactions.
Wow... Thanks! You've really taken burdens off from my chest... I'm grateful smiley smiley

Romance › 12 Reasons Guys Should Date Extroverts by Sanchez01(op): 4:26pm On Jan 08, 2015
NB: Before my head is called for, I’d want NLers to know these are some of the things I’ve picked up as cues from extroverts (ladies) and why I believe they’re better off in relationships.

1. Extroverts are fun to be with: Girls who are extroverts cherish every itty bits of their conversations and can make 6 long hours seem like 2 when you’re with them. When you have a lady as an extrovert, be prepared for moments of delights and gists as they just get to make sure that the gists they share are worth passing time.

2. They are not secretive: *whispers* ladies, here’s a secret. The worst way to deal with a man is to hide things from him. While introverted girls will apologize and say “sorry, that’s just me” (if at all they can), extroverted girls really have little or nothing to hide because they end up opening up in the course of passing time. And since keeping secrets is on the negative side of relationships, keeping them means weakness to introverts and strengths to extroverts.

3. They have a good sense of humour: A girl who speaks her mind freely would likely ‘spice’ her conversations with undocumented literary elements that would in turn make her conversations interesting. A true sense of humour can truly be found in those who cherish conversations and discussions. Best of all, extroverted girls can make you laugh at no cost! grin

4. They don’t pile up your wrongs: Introverted girls can pile up your wrongs just becacause they lack the strength to tell them to your face, and worst of all, they often leave you to think you’ve been forgiven when it’s not so. Since introverted girls hardly speak up, they unconsciously delight in record the number of times you’ve wronged them. You would think they have a greater internal storage capacity than their counterparts. Biko, life is too short to reserve 8 Gigabyte of internal memory for recording wrong doings!

5. They’re the best social media chatters: Have you ever been on a social media and a lady goes:
Girl: I
You: Hi, how are you?
Girl: fyn
…
(And then you wait for further messages and nothing comes and you decide to reply with “k”)
You: k
Girl: k (end of chat)

Biko, you need not be told, she’s one wicked introvert! Typical extroverted girls won’t chat with you that way. Never!

6. Extroverted girls are DYNAMIC!: Since there are little or no dull moments with them, they sometimes suggest what you guys could do to spice up your chats, discussions etc., just in case they sense it’s becoming boring. Spontaneous or dynamic, as many would call it, they are always there to turn things around as long as it involves them. So, fellas, just in case you have an extrovert for a gf, biko put your mind at rest because she is a natural event planner, even if it’s just the two of you!

7. They hardly pretend: You just have to love them for this kiss Ladies who are extroverts hardly coat themselves in sugar to look like something else. You can easily see through them and know them just few hours of meeting them. Unlike their counterparts who smile sheepishly and stay mute almost every time, extroverted girls don’t mind sharing their ugly pasts as long as they like you. This is an endearing quality for me!

8. They are easily accepted: Guys, if your bae is an extrovert and you feel it’s about time your siblings know her, be rest assured that the likeness will come naturally. The meeting could be awkward at first but within an hour or two, they start feeling relaxed and then the real them comes up again. We all love people who are natural and true to themselves, don’t we? smiley

9. They make better wives: Yes, I talk am! Girls who are extroverts are fun loving people, adventurous and more romantic to deal with than one whose mind is hardly known. The beauty of a happy home is when both partners talk about anything endlessly, without feeling odd or out of place. Secrets are minimal and the discussions are endless if you intend taking one as a wife. So far she’s happy, all other things are settled.

10. They can be more trusted than introverts: This is perhaps a secret not known to many. Contrary to Japhet04’s claim about “shy girls won’t cheat on you”, extroverted girls are quite easy to deal with than the “talk nao” kind of girls. True, they can be out-going and all but that does not mean they are wild in all. Once a girl who happens to be an extrovert find that listening and smiling nature in you, be positive that what they want is in you and they have decided to stick to you.

11. They’re more experienced on almost every subject matter: So true! Extroverted girls have a wider knowledge of topical issues, ranging from relationships, s3x, religion, politics, music, fashion, movies, just name it. Perhaps the reason for this is because of their conversational lifestyle which is a plus to them without knowing it. Their experience on subject matters make them readily available for discussions when the need arises, and just in case you have one as a guy, feel free to discuss what you have in mind and if she refuses to respond, then understand she’s not interested at that point in time. wink

12. Not all extroverted girls are party freaks: Another big one! That she’s an extrovert does not imply she’s a s3x, party, money, or whatever freak, wrong! Most extroverts enjoy the company of gist-partners, their lovers, family or friends. They just need someone to spend time with and not just in drinking away tomorrow. Even the so-called “shy” girls perform wonders just as Moses parted the Red Sea than the ‘unshy’ girls *Imagine what readers are thinking. Chai! Dirty minds* angry

Please feel free to add to the points mentioned smiley smiley
