Let's not get our hopes high, this man will solve no problems in Nigeria, he has never solved a single problem anywhere before, he rather created many problems in his region.

Problems like thuggery, criminality and godfatherism are his main strengths. He cannot do any good in Nigeria because he lacks the capability to do so.

But let's watch and see, bookmark this post.

There is one notable trait of obiidindinrins, they talk without making sense. Tinubu was the brain behind the Lekki Free Trade Zone and the Eko Atlantic City Project. He was the first governor to launch an independent power project. Just tell us a single legacy project of your yes daddy.

Travel / Re: Nigerian Lady Compares Cost Of Living In Nigeria And The U.S. by sangresan(m): 7:06pm On Aug 16, 2023
MrBroke:
Nigerian lady has compared the cost of living in Nigeria and the U.S., and thereafter, asked Nigerians which of the countries offers better or cheaper standard of living.

In her post, the lady said the cost of buying a full tank of petrol in Houston, Texas is $45 compared to Nigeria where she put the figure at N45, 000. She went on to state that the cost of renting a two bedroom apartment in Houston a year is "$9, 600" as against the "N2 million" one would need to get a decent one in Nigeria. She also compared the cost of purchasing food, internet services, monthly wage earnings as well as home security between Nigerians and their counterparts in the U.S.

Check the name and you will know that she probably has no sen*e.

70,000 for airtime and internet?

Many of us are online 24/7 doing stuffs and we no dey spend 25k per month.

2 million for 2-bedroom depends on location. She should also know that there could be more expensive places in Texas and the U.S.

In summary, na one of these obidunce people.

Is it possible for him to upskill on the job and earn more? If yes, he should take it and further hone his skills. Nigeria and wars should not be in the same sentence, especially wars that have international dimensions.

One coordinated attack on our major oil installations can cripple Nigeria for a very very long time.

I mean, ghosts have been drinking our crude unperturbed, for years;

Even more amazing, people came in bikes with unsophisticated weapons and broke terrorists out of Kuje Prison.

A whole medium-security prison!

No military grade drones gave early warnings, neither was the hours-long attack rebuffed.

Many of the food sellers, farmers, artisans, maiguards and even military officers in Nigeria, hail from Niger.

What do you think would happen if Nigeria takes US/France/NATO's war to Niger, their homeland?

For starters, loyalties within the military would be divided; infiltrations and counter betrayals;

Secondly, Boko Haram activities would intensify.

Right now, Nigeria is too corrupt, too unserious, too complex, too porous and too divided to prosecute any war that doesn't primarily target the Igbos. 🙄

But if Ebola insists, let him start by sending those dingbats attacking Gbadebo's constructive tweet, as well as those officers that shot and killed many unarmed EndSARS youths at the Lekki Toll Gate. They should go and pick on people their own sizes.

Blah blah blah...I don't support military intervention in Niger, but I support Tinubu's victory in the last election. I know those who supported Atiku and Obi in the last election who are hyping Nigeria's military prowess and saying nothing will happen if ECOWAS invade Niamey. What do you have to say to this?

You think everybody will always follow your childish line of reasoning?

This is the list of U.S. ambassadors to Nigeria.

Foreign Affairs / Re: France reacts as Niger Severs Military Ties by sangresan(m): 2:50pm On Aug 04, 2023
Carrington served as the U.S. Ambassador to Senegal from 1980 to 1981. He was appointed by U.S. President Bill Clinton in 1993 as the U.S. Ambassador to Nigeria, where he remained until 1997.[5] His ties to Nigeria were deep; he had married into a Nigerian family[6] and had lived in three Nigerian cities since the late 1960s.[7]

This man served as the U.S. ambassador to Nigeria till 1997.

Saro Wiwa died in 1995. So when did the U.S. close their embassy in Nigeria?

You know, many of you parrot fallacies on social media. Read books, you won't. Consult elders, you won't.

This is one of the reasons why despite everything people say about Abacha, he still remains one of Nigeria's best leaders for me.

During his tenure, US, Britain, France...etc, all closed down their embassies in Nigeria and left.

Abacha's children schooled here in Nigeria. Abacha himself never toured Europe and America, he ruled in Nigeria, lived in Nigeria and died in Nigeria.

It's good to see other African countries getting rid of European parasites. They don't mean well for you. All they do is come to your country, build their military base, find a way of accessing your resources and ship it back to their country.

Going through posts and comments on Nairaland, Twitter and other social media, one cannot but marvel at the level of ignorance that pervades our public space.

When did France, UK, and the USA close down their embassies in Nigeria? Have you heard the story of Walter Carrington in Lagos? Do you know how many billions of dollars Abacha wasted on lobbying these countries to accept his illegitimate rule? Do you know that Abacha raised special delegations led by the late Odimegwu Ojukwu to lobby for his government in Germany and that's why we had Julius Berger handling majority of our road construction projects?

For your information, it wasn't Abacha's wish to be confined to Abuja. He was afraid of coup and rarely stepped out of the FCT in the later years of his regime.

Most of those commending Adeleke here don't know the road leading to Osun State.

The truth is that Gov. Ademola Adeleke has been a huge disappointment so far. He is empty and clueless on issues of governance. He claimed to have sunk 332 boreholes in all the wards in the state. But a voyage of discovery across the local government areas in Osun will show that most of these boreholes exist on paper and, wherever they were actually constructed, they are not functional.

It is becoming glaringly clear that Umahi borrowed and wasted billions of naira on an airport that all analysts proved wasn’t going to be viable. Today it is now clear to everyone that umahi wasted borrowed billions on ego trip project when most ebonyi people are poor, uneducated and hawking almost everywhere in Nigeria.

Poverty rate in ebonyi is over 80%. when the idea of the airport was first muted, some analysts advised that umahi should use the said funds for the project and invest heavily in human resource development and education, but he shoved it aside, today no Nigerian airline want to fly to ebonyi simply because it is a very unviable route for airlines.

What do you suggest for the present administration in ebonyi state as regards to the abandoned airport?

Our shortsighted brothers from across the Niger accused us of hating Ndigbo when we criticized the white elephant project.
