The UK's first major outdoor concert is offering a glimpse of what's likely to become the norm -- venues sectioned off into small groups, enabling fans to rock without rolling the COVID-19 dice.

Sam Fender performed for 2,500 people at the Virgin Money Unity Arena in Newcastle Tuesday night ... marking what's believed to be the country's first socially distanced entertainment event since coronavirus restrictions began.

The outdoor venue's setup includes 500 separate seating sections with metal barricades, which are for groups of 5 to attend and watch the show.

Tickets reportedly sold out immediately, and photos and videos from Fender's concert show the crowd cheering and singing along ... responsibly from their own sections.

Social Media Influencer Adeherself who was recently released from EFCC custody after she was arrested over alleged fraud, has opened up on life after her ordeal with the anti-graft agency.

In a video statement, the comedy skit maker revealed how life has been traumatizing for her and how she had to undergo counseling to stay intact.

She went further to state that friends and family have been there to guide and support her through this trying time, but the trauma she is experiencing is making life so unbearable for her.

KEBBI STATE GOVERNMENT HAS TAKEN OVER ALL THE RESPONSIBILITIES OF AN ABANDONED CHILD

In the early ours of Sunday 8th August, 2020, a High delegation from the kebbi state Government has taken over all the responsibilities of an abandoned child who was rescued by a human rights group. The child in question is a boy of ten (10 yrs) years who was chained in the stall of goats like animal for over two years. The boy named Jamilu Aliyu unfortunately lost his biological mother two years ago, he thus, fell under the custody of his biological father and two step mothers. He was practically denied food, hence, resorted to feeding upon the food given to the animals he was staying with in the same stall. Sometimes he used to eat his own 'faeces' for his survival.

In consequences, he emaciated, dehydrated and partially deformed, He limps like an ape and behaves like animals. He is too pitiable to behold.

The state delegation visited the rescued boy at Sir Yahaya Specialist Hospital Birnin Kebbi where he is responding to treatment. The state government has taken all responsibilities of the boy. His medical expenses, education and everything.

The state delagation however, comprising of:

Permanent Secretary Ministry For Women Affairs Hajiya Aishatu Mai Kurata,
Special Adviser Women Affairs Hajia Zara'u Wali and
Senior Special Assistant, Hajia Aishatu Ibrahim Magawata amongst others.

Finally, His father Malam Aliyu Badariya and his two step mothers are already in the police custody. They will face the full wrath of the law or better still, they will soon be taken to court for justice to take its course.

Suffice it to say that, His Excellency Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu has since submitted a bill to the State House of Assembly which seeks to provide further protection , medical assistance as well as penalties for such offences. When passed into law, it would help in eliminating or reducing this kind of crime as well as give medical assistance within the ambit of the law.

A pharmacy in Port-Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria, has set the price of their Hydroxychloroquine sulfate as N50,000 and this has stirred up diverse reactions on social media.

The drug became highly sort after when a Nigerian-trained US-based medical doctor said she has used a combination of hydroxychloroquine, zinc, and Zithromax to treat over 350 Covid-19 patients and none died.

Since the video of the medical doctor went viral, the price of Hydroxychloroquine sulfate in Nigeria has skyrocketed, with some Nigerians claiming they bought theirs for N90,000 in some pharmacies.

Taking to Twitter, a Nigerian music video director called out a certain pharmacy in Port-Harcourt for selling at N50,000.

In their reactions on Twitter, some Nigerian with knowledge of pharmaceutical products explained the differences between Hydroxychloroquine sulfate  and the popular malaria drug, Chloroquine Phosphate, which is quite cheaper.

Reports have it that Hydroxychloroquine sulfate is quite expensive and very much more potent than Chloroquine Phosphate, as each drug is used for different medications.

The moment a lady who appeared to be calm shot a man 3 times was captured by a CCTV.

It was not clear what led to their argument, but the man could be seen trying to gain access into the lady's car.

She later drove some few meters away from him and stopped her car.

The man then walked towards the car apparently to continue harassing her. It was at that moment she shot him three times before driving off.

The U.S. General Manager of the company, Vanessa Pappas also appeared in a video on Saturday defending the app and touting U.S. jobs and other measures taken by the company.
