I own a domain that I had decided to let it drop, not knowing namepros has automated payment setup for renewal; that was how 17$ was deducted from my grey card. Tears couldn't come out. But there is always that hope that keeps us moving forward. Freeze your card until you want to use it. |

tctrills: Just because you claim they are not trustworthy doesn't make them so. Have they ever been proven to be fraudulent? Fraudulent? Do you understand how any research is conducted to begin with? A website that claims to be into data but yet provide nothing on their web page on how they collect the data, the sample size, etc? Do you know what academic fraud is? Do you understand what makes a study/findings? Did you ever write any thesis in school or I'm responding to somebody that doesn't even qualify to understand what I'm writing? |

No data. No source of data. No method of data collection. No sample size. No period of study. No scope. Nothing. Just dumb stats and a chart (I don't know who told the clowns that a chart qualifies any claim) and yet sent to the front page to dumb down IQ. |

Nice one. Though this happens everyday but, unfortunately, the idiotics are loudest people everywhere now.
Idiots don't have commonsense to understand that ascribing any tribe to evil is simplistic and illogical because idiots don't allow themselves to think.
And I think those who own forums like these one have a responsibility to do something. What's Seun's legacy?
He allows tribalists, stupid people, children and adult with poorly formed brains, clowns, witches and those who worship evil to exist here. That's Seun's legacy as it stands. But I'm sure he doesn't care. |

Racoon: SE still leads. Meanwhile the first TV station - WTN was first founded by Chief Obafemi Awolowo in 1950s. The statistics is useless. Statisense is trying to craft an image of authenticity but a mere look at it will show you it's a criminal enterprise simply pulling stats out of their ass. |

Stats without source. Seun, Mynd44, we shouldn't be helping Statisense project this image they are trying to project. There is no link to a research. Just random figures out of the figment of their imagination. |

ariesbull: Rule of Thumb for engagement....
Avoid debating data from reports you haven't read or understood...
Make attempts to understand the methodology that led to the stats...
When still in doubt, reserve opinion, make alternative findings...
Still in doubt, ask questions without insinuations...
***We engage clarifications/questions not abuse!

SeeWahala: Oga, you saw a report made by statisense, a purely neutral and professional institution in charge of statistical data in nigeria and you decided to challenge/question their methods purely because the data contained in their report didn't sit well with you
I understand exactly what you're all about it's crystal clear 👌 A professional and neutral institution but can't add the source of their data. Even the world bank add sources to their data but I should accept Statisense without one. |

ariesbull: you want to ask them about the methodology...if you are a research do some simple recharge by checking then out in Google and Twitter then engage them in academic discourse....I can't spoon fed you sir Do some research? But shouldn't their conclusion be based on a research? And what is this research? And even providing a link to a research is not enough because we will need to scrutinized the method of data collection, the sample size, etc., to know they even know how a research is conducted in the first place. Or can I find these 'researches' they've been posting on a reputable journal? |
Health › Re: Women Who Delivered At Home By Zones In Nigeria by Sapiosexuality(m): 8:48am On Aug 12, 2024 |
SmartPolician: My problem is the fact that most of you don't think. Yes, I mean it. Nigeria is a country that cares less about data. That's why having a proper national database has never been a priority.
To this data you shared, there are lots of rural places where locals give birth and the babies aren't even taken to hospitals afterwards. They believe that they can do what hospitals do. Governments don't care to get the number of childbirths from such places because nobody cares about data in Nigeria.
Then, someone gives you statistics without telling you the methodology used to arrive at the figure. You quickly share it because it gives you an illusionary sense of self-worth (boosts your ego) and helps you to demarket others. Exactly my issues with the StatiSense guys. No link to the research proving this, no link to any source that corroborates it. Just statistics without any data to back it up. And some of us are too much into academics to know that isn't how deductions are drawn. You don't even need to be in academic to know that it's pure bullshit. |
