While I do think PGEJ acted very responsibly & statesmanly in the wake of the election results, I have my reservations about him.

The way the results from SS & SE were 'cooked' up and the last minute attempt by Orubebe to disrupt the final collation leaves one with a lot of questions about his desperation for power. Add that to the way he made State institutions like NTA and the military to falsely mislead Nigerians on the Buhari certificate saga.
I guess d results frm kano were nt cooked up abi?Its nt important whether u and madam oby thinks otherwise,in d international community he is a hero u cant change that too bad.

Accepting defeat isn't a mark of heroism. Especially after the debacle in Rivers and the SS/SE.
It's okay to commend GEJ (whatever) but please don't obscure and rewrite history in the process. More importantly, anyone who can receive praise must be ready to receive criticism.
Mr know all tell that to d international community since u knw more than them.
Politics / Re: Suswam’s Deputy, Lawani, Aondoakaa , Others Set To Defect To APC In Benue by sarris(m): 11:12am On Apr 04, 2015
kaywizee:
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Benue State is gradually fizzling out with the overwhelming of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the last Saturday election.

The former youth director for the Suswam campaign organisation, Chief John Akperashi Gum has already fixed a date, 7th April, 2015 for his defection ceremony.

Meanwhile, former minister of justice, Mike Aondoakaa (SAN) and Suswam’s deputy, Chief Steven Lawani and a member-elect of the House of Representatives for the Ukum, Katsina-Ala and Logo, Emmanuel Udende have concluded plans to defect to the APC.

Yesterday, the former youths director of Suswam, Akperashi withdrew all his campaign vehicles from the PDP campaign organisation, rebranded them with the campaign pictures of General Buhari and Chief Ortom and formally donated them to the Ortom/Abounu campaign organisation in a well organised ceremony.

All these "noise" about Mo Awards and GEJ is "campaign-after-election"!

Army hierarchy is a disgrace!, to betray one of your own Generals, for a clueless Clown like Ebelete Jonathan?

Pls don't take anything away from the man's golden moment. He had options. He could have remained silent nd said nothing. Was he tamed by Africa's peace keepers when he maintained his calm despite the whole card reader debacle on saturday? Was he tamed by Africa's peace keepers when he told his party not to contest the result at the tribunal? That you don't like him, doesn't mean he's not a gentleman. Everyone that has met Jonathan personally has attested to the fact that the man is a pure gentleman and a man of peace. Even Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, despite all his issues with Jonathan kept saying, Jonathan is a good man, surrounded by bad advicers. Pls join the whole world in celebrating this man.

The only person his action benefitted was himself and not the Nigerian nation.
GEJ still remains d most corrupt, most incompetent and most mischievous individual to have ruled nigeria .Just go and watch his interview with the BBC and in that portion he was asked about d chibok girls u can picture all d bile in GEJ during his response.
If u were outside d country u would hv known d benefit Nig got frm his action.

You really need me to explain to you what is being done to mugabe's government and the country's economy? Nigeria is not Russia. Your obasanjo's example does not make sense. You cant refer to a situation that never happened

Why do u think a statement was released by the US/UK during the vote count?

He contested, He lost and he has to go. There is nothing heroic about obeying the law. You might as well call me a hero for not over-speeding then.Advise him to stay there for one more and you will know that you country is not so sovereign
I guess u re wiser than d international communities that hv been applauding him as a legend.

Politics / Re: Likely Composition Of General Buhari's Cabinet by sarris(m): 9:18pm On Apr 01, 2015
cuteboy2:
For all practical purposes, even though the results are still being collated, I am deeply convinced that General Buhari will win this election by a very comfortable margin.

It is also my believe that President Jonathan will graciously concede defeat in a very mature and rancour free manner. He will not contest the results in court even though his acolytes and party men will stridently want him to. I believe, GEJ does not want to leave office looking like a sore loser.

Having said all these, it is safe to say that the 2015 Presidential Elections has been won and lost.

The elections are over!!!

What then will be the likely composition of General Buhari's cabinet? From keen observations of Buhari's campaign organisation, Buhari's utterances during the campaigns, and the actions and activities of various key actors in Gen Buhari's camp, I believe the following will either be in his cabinet or play key roles in his government.

It is obvious from Buhari's utterances during the campaigns that he will run a government whose policy direction and key economic decisions will be dictated by " a team". He kept harping on this.

The possible names are:

• Dr Kayode Fayemi (former governor of Ekiti State)
• Senator Olorunimbe Mamora (he vacated his senate seat for Remi Tinubu, Sen Tinubu's wife)
• Gov Raji Babatunde Fashola
• Abike Dabiri (former member House of Representatives)
• Baba Ahmed (former Ambassador, and former INEC Secretary)
• Gov Rotimi Amaechi
• Gov Rabiu Musa Kwankwanso (he is contesting a senatorial seat, but could likely accept a cabinet post)
• Prince Tonye Princewill (LP governorship candidate in Rivers State)
• Ben Akubueze (former MD NAL Merchant Bank, and Hon Commissioner for Economic Planning and Budget in Lagos State)
• Dr Adesina Akinwumi (Minister of Agriculture in Jonathan’s cabinet)
• Dr Chris Ngige (senator, and former governor of Anambra State)
• Oby Ezekwesili
I will really like him to retain Dr Adesina dat man is good at his job.

GEJ can't win the award. He ran a clueless and a thoroughly corrupt government laden with unprecedented impunity. There are reasons why he lost.

You don't win the award by simply conceding defeat to a winner.
He won't win d prize base on hw he ran d govt he will win because he averted blood shed and violence by his singular action.

For those ALWAYS harping about the rise of the Dollar against the Naira, please take out time to educate yourself. The rise of the Dollar is a global phenomenon. Over the past few months, the Dollar has risen against virtually every currency in the world. Ever wondered why the Naira has not falling against other currencies such as the Euro?

In September 2014, 1 Euro = 211 Naira.
Today, 1 Euro = 217 Naira.

On the other hand:
In October 2014, 1 US Dollar = 105 Japanese Yen.
Today, 1 US Dollar = 120 Japanese Yen.

In September 2014, 1 Euro = 1.3 US Dollar.
Today, 1 Euro = 1.08 US Dollar.

There must be a lot of corrupt/clueless governments out there.
God bless u bro not foolishly following APC like fulani cow.

Eventually....Abuja will have a light rail project....as well as a raillink between Gwagwalada(satellite city) and the airport and the main city.

I am not a PDP supporter....but this is one project I wish gets fully completed. Abuja needs a metro rail service....like the ones Lagos and PH are getting..
Pls dont add PH dat thing Amaechi is building there is a huge joke & waste of money.

HOW GENUINE IS APC'S CHANGE.
I hv watched series of campaign, election promises & d promises of change by d opposition party all progressive congress.
HOW GENUINE IS APC'S CHANGE

As a concerned nigeria youth who truly & desperately desire positive change in d way d resources of this country are managed by our leaders.Based on dis am forced to ask hw genuine is dis change promised by APC.lets look at d following areas they hv promise us change.
#How genuine is APC' CHANGE

CHANGE IN CORRUPTION.
Honestly d govt is desperately corrupt, but APC has nt told us hw they intend to fight & reduce corruption. There is a saying dat a tree does nt mk a forest if dis is true dat means Buhari alone cannot fight corruption which also means he has to rely on those around him,now lets look at those around him,Amaechi,Timipre Silva,Tinubu,Aragbesola,Atiku etc. These men including all nig politicians re corrupt.hw will Buhari & dis men fight corruption will he prosecute them or quarantine them & prosecute others.

CHANGE IN POWER SECTOR.
Am not a politician but a true Nigeria.l think d best thing d current govt has done in d last six years is to privatise d power sector tho we re yet to feel d impact of dat policy but every honest person will knw dat sonner or later power failure will be a thing of d past.now APC has continously condenm this so l ask wat is d plan of APC to give us power as soon as possible.
#How genuine is APC'S CHANGE

CHANGE IN SECURITY.
Buhari told us once he is elected insecurity will be a thing of d past,Nigerians,Tens of thoudands of people hv died, properties destroyed & millions displaced yet our dear Buhari hv d solution to dis problems and kept mute waiting to unveil d solution wen elected.
#HOW GENUINE IS APC'S CHANGE

CHANGE IN INFRASTRUCTURE.
APC made up of Buhari,Amaechi,Aragbesola,Timipre Silva,Atiku etc hv promised massive infrastructure if elected my question is with d billions of naira allocated to most of these men in their various states how much infrastructure have they put in place. They accuse d federal govt of not doing enough in infrastructure forgetting they didnt do their parts in their little states.

My question is simple
#How genuine is APC'S CHANGE.
