The North cannot let a Christian represent them. So the person from the South must be a Christian to allow for a Muslim VP.

Now APC may have seen that destroying Tinubu , which might make him pull SW out of the alliance, might spell doom for them. Reason they've chosen to go back to him now. With Buhari accepting to chair his colloquium.

I hate Tinubu for his insatiable greed but that doesn't make me deny the fact that the man is a political colossus that can pull a lot of strings and influence a lot of things.

With that said, there's need to understand that Ganduje has always been Tinubu's ally.

Tinubu colloquium moved to Kano

The 12th Bola Tinubu Colloquium, an annual high-powered policy roundtable, will be held in Kano on Monday.

It will be the first time it will hold outside Lagos or Abuja.

The colloquium will mark the 69th birthday of the national leader of All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu.

President Muhammadu Buhari is expected to chair the virtual event.

Other eminent personalities including Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, governors, senators, ministers, political leaders, and federal lawmakers, among others, will grace the virtual summit.

The details of the event showed that the 12th colloquium will focus on the theme: “Our Common Bond, Our Common Wealth: The Imperative Of National Cohesion For Growth And Prosperity.”

The event is expected to start by 12 noon.

Ahead of the colloquium, Tinubu arrived in Kano on Saturday, after chairing the 11th Arewa House lecture in Kaduna, delivered by Governor Simon Lalong.

Governor of Kano, Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje on Saturday received Tinubu at Aminu Kano International Airport (MAKIA).

The APC leader came along with the former National Chairman of APC, Chief Bisi Akande, and other dignitaries.

Those who received him included Commissioners, Chairman Board of Trustees of Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund), Kashim Ibrahim Imam, State Party Chairman, Abdullahi Abbas, and former Managing Director of UNIPETROL, Yusuf Ali, among others.

The Tinubu Colloquium was conceived in 1999 by Tinubu’s close friends and associates, who felt that some of the very rich and stimulating intellectual debates that hallmarked some of the meetings at which he presided should be translated to a platform that would expand the conversation and lead to tangible outcomes.

The last edition was held in 2019 in Abuja with the theme, `Next Level: Work for People.’

The theme for the 2018 edition was: “Investing in People” while that of 2017 was centered on “Make it in Nigeria” which provided an avenue to examine critically how Nigerians can look inwards and use what they produce while also ensuring that they produce what they use.

At the 8th edition which took place in Abuja in 2016, the theme was Agriculture: Action, work, revolution while in 2015 at the seventh edition, the organizers chose change: How it will work”.

Three Jukun fishermen have been arrested by the police in connection with last Saturday’s attack on convoy of Benue Governor Samuel Ortom along Tyo Mu, Makurdi.

Security Adviser to Ortom, Col. Paul Hemba, confirmed the arrest while conducting newsmen round the scene of the attack on Tuesday.


Hemba stated the police team found the fishermen close to the scene of the attack and are being investigated.

The Imo State Housing Corporation has revoked 49 plots of land belonging to Jessdean Ventures Limited. of No. 3 Okeoma close Tran Egbu Layout said to be owned by Mrs. Geraldine Obinali.

Geraldine Obinali is the elder sister of former Governor of the state, Senator Rochas Okorocha.

The revocation is contained in a statement signed on Monday, by the General Manager/Chief Executive Officer of the state Housing Corporation, Mr. Chinedu Mbakwe-Obi, and media aide to the General Manager, Enwerem Prince.

The statement further disclosed that the revoked plots of the land in Redemption Estate Phase III were issued to Geraldine Obinali (nee Okorocha) for the sole purpose of providing infrastructural facilities which was never carried out.

The corporation directed anyone who had transacted business on any of the plots of land to approach it for ratification.

The statement reads, “Sequel to all legal actions taken to notify Jessdean Ventures Ltd of No 3 Okeoma close Trans Egbu Layout Owerri owned by Geraldine Obinali, we hereby revoke the following plots numbers in Redemption Housing Estate Phase III issued to her for the sole purpose of providing infrastructural facilities in the estate which was never carried out.

“Below are some of the affected plots numbers: RHE III/258,424, 425,422,420,419, 418, 417, 416, 415,414, 403, 421,244,244A and 245 among others.

“This notice, the general public is hereby being notified that if anybody had transacted on any of the above-numbered plots, they are to immediately come to the Imo state Housing Corporation with original papers for ratification.

“Imo State Housing Corporation will continue to ensure that the desires of the Governor Hope Uzodimma in providing affordable housing to Imo people will be adhered to without delay”.

When contacted on the telephone, Mrs. Geraldine Obinali, did not respond to calls put across to her.

…Sanwo-Olu Reaffirms Commitment to Infrastructural Development in the Axis

In line with its vision to be the preferred industrial hub and investment destination in West Africa with world-class infrastructure, the Lagos Free Zone (LFZ) which already has a committed investment of $2 billion is poised to attract an additional $5 billion over the next 4 years.

This was disclosed by the Chief Executive Officer, Lagos Free Zone (LFZ), Mr. Dinesh Rathi at the Corporate Headquarters of the company in Ibeju-Lekki during the official visit of the Executive Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu and his cabinet members to the zone on Friday, March 19, 2020.

Rathi further explained that the zone, which was established in the year 2012 is being promoted by Tolaram Group, a leading conglomerate in Nigeria – who have already attracted about $2 billion committed investment to the Zone currently.

On the ease of doing business, he stated that the Lagos Free Zone (LFZ) is simplifying the entry & operations for foreign investors in Nigeria & by extension improving the EODB situation.

Speaking during the visit, the Executive Governor of Lagos, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu lauded the management of the Lagos Free Zone and its promoters – Tolaram Group, for their commitment and investment in the zone which would boost the economy of the state and that of the nation. He praised Lagos Free Zone for being one of very first settlers in the area and for making tremendous improvements and progress, in partnership with other international and local businesses and brands. He also commended the LFZ for making the Nigerian youth part of the development conversation and creating opportunities for empowerment.

Sanwo-Olu noted that with over $2 billion already committed investment in the zone and the forecast of another $5 billion inflow expected within the next 4 years, the Lagos Free Zone is a key driver for the future of the economy of the state.




The Governor pledged that his administration would prioritize the issue of the infrastructural development projects that would act as catalyst to speed up investments in the Zone.

Making a presentation to the Governor and his entourage, the Manager, Business Development & Marketing, Lagos Free Zone, Mrs. Chinju Udora explained that the Zone which is integrated with the Lekki Deep Seaport is strategically located 65KM south-east of Lagos City on 830 Hectares of land and has already generated more than 10,000 direct and indirect jobs with 80,000 more jobs to be generated in the next 10 -15 years within industrial and services sector.

Udora described the zone as a 360 – degree ecosystem that would transform the way of doing business and strengthen Lagos’ position as the commercial nerve centre of West Africa. She stated that the zone will comprise of 70% Industrial; 20% Logistics and Support Services and 10% real estate to create a LIVE, WORK and PLAY environment in line with international best practices

I just spoke to Sunday Igboho and he told me that three foreign Fulani terrorists were apprehended in his mother's home in Igboho, Oyo state this evening.

Their mission was to harm Mama. Two of them escaped whilst the other is with the police (see below). Those that sent them are playing with fire!

First of all they burnt down Sunday's house in Ibadan. Secondly a soldier and a fake soldier were caught spying on his Ibadan home. Thirdly two terrorists are caught sneaking into his mothers home with a clear intention to harm her.

This is a man whose input brought peace to our nation just two weeks ago and helped to bring to an end the Northern embargo of food to the South after he guaranteed the peace and security of innocent Nigerian Fulanis in the South West.

I am appealing to those that are behind these dangerous provocations against his person and reckless attacks to desist from this nonsense.

Sunday is a heroic figure in the South West and by far the most powerful, vocal and popular figure in Yorubaland today.

Harming him or his family members will not augur well for the peace and stability of our nation.
