@crackhaus, trust me, most Nigerian homes are run like military boot camp, especially those with females of marriageable age with no immediate prospects. I have friends with stories, you can never tell unless you live within.

So while men deserve more freedom, women dont?

Like I said, I learnt to be independent quite early in life, so would probably have gotten my own place irrespective

Just one reason - because she resides in a different city, state, or country.

As for the second part of my post, I said "I see no reason" .
You are to give your valid reasons why any lady should live away from her parents' when she lives in the same city as they do.

Please don't mention freedom, it makes the supporter of such an excuse seem rebellious.

Let me give you several reason, using myself as an example

I am an unmarried young woman and live 10-15 minutes away from my parents house.

Do I crave my freedom? You sure bet I do!
I am a very independent being with a strong personality, my mum equally has a strong personality. The max number of hours we stay together in the same house without upsetting each other is 12 hours.

Now, I know some people will make a mountain out of a molehill but when I hear daily of how I threw away u.i medicine admission to study pharmacy in Lag, or is it why I decide not to practice the pharmacy and go into business(despite being successful at what I do) or why I travel up and down for business instead of looking for a man or is it why I fry my oil in a certain way while cooking. In as much as these are not enough reasons to some, but when you keep harping/nagging on a particular subject constantly despite it not affecting the outcome, I will snap. Often times, I'll keep quiet and this makes her upset, either way, it's a no-win situation for me.

One important reason, I decided to stay away is cos the nature of my job means that I work long hours, sometimes coming home at 10-12pm which makes her upset and she starts her tirade.

Rather than stay in the same house and fight over minor things, which in my opinion are irrelevant, I give her her space and we are best buddies now.

Some of the advantages of living on your own, IMO, is that you get to make firm decisions on your own and learn to take care of your self properly and make yourself happy without interference. You also learn to take care of a home before getting married.

Does living alone, make me anyway promiscuous? No, it does not. I have become more of an introvert, living alone.

I'm certain when your husband did what he did to you, you didn't say hurtful things like his prayers will never be answered, knowing that by doing so, you will, inadvertently, implicate yourself, as his prayers being answered will be a blessing to you as well.

I don't know the Op, but being human, I'm certain he has his flaws and probably caused or is causing his wife so much pain but does that justify those words?

My dear, ANYONE that deliberately say such words to me, especially knowing the struggle to succeed and knowing that my prayers are my forte is a dream killer.

There is a negativity that resonates from those words. Trust me, this is the worst kind of negativity there is. Why because, Negative energy from such a close source will always cause insecurity and lack of self-confidence. It gives you fear, doubt, and makes you think less of yourself. It closes opportunities in your life and makes life less fun.

I know so cause I lived it.

There are so many other ways to pay someone back for any pain they cause you.

For the wife to say such words out several times means she wishes it to come to pass and must have been repeating it to herself all the while the op was telling her his woes.

Dear Op, there is power of life and death in the tongue! Your wife is a typical example of a dream killer, there is no way you can thrive in the presence of such negativity!

Please sit her down and ask questions. Ask her what you are doing to cause her pain? Ask her what you can do to take the pain away. Why on earth would God not answer your prayers? So many questions, you need to ask. Listen to her replies and see if you can reach a compromise.

I can not wrap my head around the fact that she is deliberately destroying her home.

The above combo for the groom is cool. The groom’s men do not have to wear black bow tie, they could do the same shade of pink as the bridesmaids.

Like Rocktation said,when in doubt, wear white.

You mean apart from the myriad of infections and blood poisoning that would most likely occur, using knives and tools that are not sterilised, the serious bleeding that could occur - God help that the child won't have haemophilia and bleed to death. Most of them suffer mild to severe obstetric and gynaecological problems in future.

Depending on the degree or extent of circumcision, no circumcised female will enjoy sexual pleasure as the clitoris has been cut.

Read extensively on this subject while studying traditional medical methods and I believe no right thinking human will subject a child to this! Heck, after cutting they drop the slime from a snail on to the wound! #yuck

* Party planner/coordinator (full time)

The role of Party planner is hands-on and often involves working as part of a team. Applicants must be able to complete a wide range of activities requiring clear communication, excellent organisational skills and attention to detail. They must work well under pressure, ensuring the smooth and efficient running of any event.

-PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Coordinate details of events such as conferences, weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, charity events, surprise parties, business meetings etc

- Negotiate and secure event space.

I believe Pos are assigned to businesses alone and not individuals maybe if your savings is for your business but ask your account officer

Once u have a business account with Gtbank, you fill an application form and they bring to your business address in a week or two. They also do maintenance

Reminds me of a trad 2 years ago in Nri, Anambra.

The groom does not drink alcohol, we didn't even consider that as would have substituted the palmwine with lime juice or milky water, and so when presented with the cup from his bride he shook his head and made to return the cup still full, his friend knowing the consequences, drank the palmwine quickly on his behalf and that's when trouble started.
The bride's people rejected and ceremony disrupted. Took over 30 minutes of begging and paying fine before we could continue.

I couldn't fault the suspicious groom though, he was scared they were fetish, despite being igbo.

@ op, when a hall has too much going on in terms of colors and patterns, it makes it quite difficult and more expensive to design and decorate. For instance, the colored walls and patterned floor in the picture above may clash with the colors of a potential client and may likely not choose the hall or spend more trying to cover it up.

My opinion, trying making the walls a single color, preferably white/offwhite or cream even if the floors remain the same
