biz1234: Believe me, import business is the best thing happening in Nigeria today. Just 2 weeks ago, my wife imported some ladies jewelries, we spent about 55k. Although we are yet to exhaust the stock, as at my last counting, we have made 12k profit. We decided to sell low so that we can quickly turnover over money.

In a business like this, volume sales matters.

It is true! It really works and very profitable!!!!
My concern is d shipping cost is there any way this can be beaten to reduced level
Politics › Re: Supporting Nigeria Against Biafra Was Our Greatest Mistake — Asari Dokubo by sasview: 8:28am On May 04, 2013
[quote author=Ramnon.2]Supporting Nigeria Against Biafra was our Greatest Mistake — Asari Dokubo
Share This

Asari Leader of the Niger Delta Peoples Volunteer Force (NDPVF), Alhaji Mujahid Dokubo Asari, late this morning spoke about his anguish over the failure by his people to allow the breakaway Republic of Biafra to succeed.

Launched in 1967 by the old East under the command of the late Chukwuemeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu, Biafra was crushed three years after by the Nigerian Government and its international allies.

In a post on his Facebook wall around noon, Dokubo regretted the role played by the then so called eastern minorities in sabotaging Biafra. He also cast his vote for an Igbo or Middle Belt person to succeed President Goodluck Jonathan.

The post, which appears to be excerpts of a speech delivered at a meeting of Niger Delta, Igbo and Middle Belt groups, says thus: “Today, if anything will stir me to fight, it is my belief that Biafra was right. When I was growing up, we were told a lot of things to hate Biafra. Maybe some of us were persuaded. But the more I grow up, the more I realize that it was the greatest mistake we made for not allowing Biafra to stand. “You might not feel the pain that I feel, but if an Igbo man does not feel the pain that I feel, I am sorry for him. If an Urhobo man doesn’t feel the pain, I am sorry for him. “What Ojukwu lived and died for, in the coming years, we will see it with our eyes because of the arrogance of a few people that were born to rule, and everybody accepts it. When you want to talk they say leave them alone. Why should I leave them? If you don’t bend your back, nobody will ride you. “For the first time in history, the divide and rule tactics of those who have kept us down failed and the Igbo voted more for President Jonathan than the people of the South-South. “Our gathering today is to bring the gathering of the dispossessed and oppressed people of the Middle Belt, Ndigbo people and the people of the Niger Delta together and we are going to move like a force. “Let nobody be apologetic. What we want is political power. Political power is the key to our development and our dignity, and political power we must own come 2015. If President Jonathan says he is not contesting, we must hold on to the presidency. Either an Igbo man takes it or someone from the Middle Belt, we will continue to hold it.”

Islam › The Best Way Of Supplication by sasview(op): 10:00pm On Apr 15, 2013
Salam alaykm, prayer they say is the sword of mumeen, as prayer is imperative to facilitate achievement it is also required for its sustenance. invariably Muslims should rely on Allah both in the time of abundance and scarcity. No doubt that Allah will surely answer the prayer of his servant as He had promised us in the holy Qur'an. I want the brothers and sisters in the house to please educate and guide us on the best way to go about supplication, the etiquette and rule that remained within the tenet of Islam as I'm aware that some form of supplication has been dubbed innovation (bidiah) by some group due to the structure of its prescription (e.g facing other direction along with qibla or reciting certain ayat or asqar repeatedly in thousands).May Allah bless you as you contribute positively.

What would onlooker be tagged?
maasoap: I said this because when you criticize ACN as a party for what it did or didn't do like imposition of candidate falsely called consensus, you're tagged "PDP apologist". When you criticize Fashola for destroying peoples' homes without adequate notice and without providing temporary alternative shelters, you're tagged "PDP apologist". Also, when you criticize GEJ for doing obvious wrong thing like associating with thieves, you're tagged "ACN apologist or GEJ hater".

amdman: My team’s function is highly sensitive and exposes my employer (financial institution) to court cases, costs and reputational issues any time we mess up.

There is this guy that I supervise that is giving me grief. His output is poor and can be very unreliable. Every effort we have made to help him remains largely unfruitful. If it was my business, I would have since sacked him, but on the other hand there is the usual Nigerian sentiment of not having to negatively impact another person’s career, particularly as the guy lost his father a couple of months ago (his output was poor before then).

So what would you do if you were in my shoes?
If you were this guy would you wish to be sacked? Try to help him on his weakness or try him in other departments at least he was asses before employed.
