CrimeRe: I Was Scammed 100k Yesterday by satelliteDISH(m): 12:46pm On Feb 24, 2023
skultrick:
So I have been trying to sell off my old watches which I have been advertising here and on jiji. I been able to sell two of the watches and two smartbands, and all the payments were via transfer.

This guy called me yesterday that he saw my ad on jiji and wanted to buy my Galaxy Watch 3 for his son. We bargained 100k. He said he was in the office and would call me once he's done.

After about an hour, he called that he's on his way to Lugbe shoprite in Abuja (I stay around there).

When he got to shoprite, he described he's car, and they were three guys in the car. The guy I have been talking with was sitting at the back. He said I should come inside.

The guy inspected the watch, and confirmed everything was fine. He said he has transferred my money, and then showed me his phone that he has been debited. I wasn't even concerned about the debit alert, I'm very aware of fake alert.

Based on trust, I just told him he could go with the watch while I expect my credit alert (based on network, I dont know if it will take 24hrs or more).

He told me thank you and left, and that was the end.

From there I went to get fuel, I stayed 30 minutes at the filling station, no alert. I started calling this thief and he didn't pick.

I have called him over 50 times with my both lines, but the shameless he-goat refused picking my calls, instead he switched off the phone. I realised I have been scammed, I deleted his number so I'm not tempted to call him again. The last thing I want now is distraction. If 100k makes him happy so be it.

I feel very angry because I allowed him go based on trust. I thought I was dealing with a gentle man.

Moreover this month has been very tough for me, Amazon out of the blues closed my associates account for a mistake I made in 2020, and withheld my $1400.

I now realise why the driver of the bus I took while coming back to Abuja turned to a mad man at lokoja simply because 6hrs later the transfer I did to him has not reflected on his account. He said before we continue our journey to Abuja, I must pay him his money in cash. I was forced to withdraw 20k from POS at 3k charge. He eventually saw the alert by 7pm after we arrived Abuja, and I was given back my cash.

Henceforth, I no see alert for my phone with all the marks from my bank, no deal.

Be warned, some Nigerians can be so daft. I couldn't understand why a grown ass man will be so useless.
Thank you for this thread.

I am also in to this amazon associates marketing.

Please what mistake did you do in 2020, that made them to close your account. I want to learn and avoid it too. Thanks

It hurts me to write this, but I know Nigeria is hard right now and we need someone to assist us once in a while. I am sure 10,000 Naira will not be enough to feed yourself for a day, but it can still help someone out in a time of need.

If you are in a position where you truly need the 10,000 Naira right now, please contact me on Whatsapp and tell me what you will be making use of the 10,000 for. If the reason is reasonable enough, you will surely get the money. If you want to use the money to start a small business, let me know. If the business is a profitable one, you will be given the money.

I know Nigeria is hard and only God can save us. But I am trying to do the little I can with the little I have. Most times, whenever I have some free cash, I come to nairaland to spend some on my fellow Nigerians. We are all in this together, and I want to do my part to help out.

So if you are in a situation where you genuinely need 10,000 Naira right now, contact me on Whatsapp and let me know. God bless us, and may we all get through this tough period..
It will go a long way in my feeding and my siblings. SINCE this money palava, jobs have not been forthcoming. Thanks in advance.

It's no secret that life in Nigeria is hard. The economy is struggling and wages are low, leaving many of us scraping by. We all know how it feels to want for something desperately, but not have the means to get it....

Right now, if I were to tell you that I could give you 5000 Naira, what would you do? I'm sure the first thing that comes to mind is all the wonderful things you could do with it. You could buy food, pay bills, or go on a much needed holiday. We all need something that will make us feel like life isn't so hard right now....

Unfortunately, the reality is that 5000 Naira won't be enough to make life in Nigeria any easier. We all know how hard it is to make ends meet, and even with 5000 Naira it's unlikely that you'll be able to make any real changes. It might be enough to tide you over for a few weeks or help you pay a bill, but it won't solve any real problems....

So, I'm asking you to be sincere with me. If I were to give you 5000 Naira right now, what would you do? If you need the money, and have a good reason for wanting it, please message me via WHATSAPP I am looking for 10 people who are honest and sincere in their answers....

No matter how hard life is in Nigeria, I believe in the goodness of people and that we can all help each other get through this together. So I'm asking for 10 people to come forward, be honest, and tell me what 5000 Naira would do for them right now....
It will go a long way in my feeding. Since last month feeding from hand to mouth. No good jobs forthcoming. The life of a job man is very hard.

Benin City residents protesting over naira Redesign Policy.

There is crisis now in Benin City and the residents are protesting.

It started this morning 15th February 2023, as transporters and drivers refused to accept the old 200 naira, 500 naira and 1000 naira. Other businesses and even the banks are also rejecting the old naira notes.

The angry protesters are complaining about the lack of the new naira notes.

The people are hungry and they have money in their bank accounts but they cannot get access to it to buy basic commodities that cannot be done by bank transfer.

Below are some videos taken today around Benin City during the protest.

PoliticsLabour Party Lagos Rally. My Expectations As An Obidient by satelliteDISH(op): 9:35am On Feb 12, 2023
Our Lagos Rally is supposed to be the mother of all rallies. So what went wrong?

On the onset when Peter Obi won the Labour Party presidential primaries we did a 1million man walk for him. We shut down surulere, ikeja, mile 2 and others....

My fellow Obidients refused to turn up to the TBS. What really went wrong.

Could it be that their were a chunk of undecided voters in our mist and now they have pitch tent with the ruling party.

Could it be that the sudden show of love by the lagos state government has won them over with their free transportation bus card, 10k Bank transfer and door to door foodstuffs freebies.?

Could it be that they have given Bola Tinubu sympathy votes because of his fight against his ruling government?

Could it be that they have decided to manage their oppressors rather than try out a new party that promises to move Nigeria from CONSUMPTION ECONOMY to PRODUCTION ECONOMY with its Candidate that is Corruption free?

As an OBIdient based in Benin City, I just can't fathom what really went wrong after watching the scanty turnout yesterday in lagos.

Yesterday I couldn't sleep very well. The feeling within me was like when Argentina defeated Nigeria in the under 21 finals years ago. The pictures and videos is making me feel depressed and defeated right now.

Atiku Abubakar of the PDP has successfully locked down the entire North East and North West. No wonder Wike is afraid to publicly endorsed Peter Obi. Because he is not seeing any light ahead of the tunnel on his candidacy.

If Bola Tinubu or Atiku Abubakar eventually wins the 25th February presidential elections against an upright man of the Labour Party Mr Peter Obi, I will weep for Nigeria and then concludes that Nigerians TRULY DESERVES THE KIND OF LEADERS THEY HAVE.

U are trying to cause an unnecessary panic among the less educated.

If he decides to slash off wardrobe and newspaper allowance of politicians and also stop crude oil theft alone, he would have reduced Nigeria problems by @least 30%.

If he decides to channel this money alone into electricity and education, the economy will gradually starts to pick up beyond your widest imagination.

This is basic Economics 101 that your bulaba balablue party failed with F11 results.

Request for Fair Wages

Freeman Communications
I want you to write me a letter of salary increment to the church organization where I work. I am depressed right now.
Let me explain to you what happened. The church has a cathedral and a school. Both the cathedral and the school are in the same compound. The church has a different salary structure for the staff that works in the cathedral and the school. The cathedral staff are paid higher wages than the school staff. 13 years ago, the proprietor of the school employed me as the school security officer. My wages were paid based on the lower salary structure of the school. Since 13 years ago my salary has been stagnant. The church has refused to increase my wages to date. My wages have been 17,400 nairas monthly since 2013.
Meanwhile, the church employed 5 more security officers 5 years ago to join me in guarding the church compound. Their wages were entered into the cathedral salary structure. They started with a salary of 25,000 nairas monthly 5 years ago. Last month, the salary structure of the cathedral was revisited and adjusted. My colleague's salary on the church payroll was increased to 30,000 nairas monthly. Whereas the church has refused to add a penny to the salaries of all the staff working in the school which I am among them.
During work shifts, my colleagues will be making a mockery of me with statements like

"See how small your salary is." This is making me feel very depressed and dejected.

Dear [Church Management],

I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing to express my sincere concern regarding my salary and to request a salary increment.

As you are aware, I have been working as the security officer at the church school for the past 13 years. Despite my dedication and hard work, my salary has remained stagnant at 17,400 nairas per month since I was first employed.

I have noticed that the church has recently increased the salaries of the security officers working in the cathedral. However, the salaries of the staff working in the school, including mine, remain unchanged. This disparity in salary treatment has left me feeling depressed and dejected.

I understand that the church has different salary structures for staff working in different departments. However, I strongly believe that my 13 years of service to the church deserve to be recognized and rewarded with a fair wage.

I kindly request that my salary be reviewed and increased to a fair and competitive rate, commensurate with my years of service and the duties I perform. I hope that this matter can be resolved as soon as possible so that I can continue to serve the church with the same dedication and passion I have shown in the past.

Thank you for considering my request. I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Sincerely,
[Your Name]
