Smiles* bad guy**** your subtle response tho! You won't be anyone's laundry man at all. Hahhaha!! This home-grown cliches for responding to haughty and proud personalities is becoming poetic. Me likey! I don't know why some monikers just prefer codedly attacking personalities than the post.

Prinzofparis:
that wasnt what ladyF inferred earlier. some persons made it seem like they have confirmed their name on an official list from NLNG as it concerns their status. I am not saying this is a lie but in my small world and all my insiders/sources world that statement is horseshit (forgive me).

mails will come soon....we will see the porcupines, turkeys and peacocks...enof butt opening will go down here....humility will be learned within nanosecs.

not like i wish anybody evil tho....but sometimes some speeches just pricks......sorry if i offend anyone....i dont want to be someone's laundry man in 5 years at bonny.
FamilyTelemundo Made My Room My Living Room by Saved2Serve(op): 8:38pm On Dec 27, 2015
This puertorican telenovella have made me a recluse in my own home. Wife and sister are good followers. I have tried to force myself to like it and flow with them cus I believe in adaptability and flexibility in relationship but am not flowing. No connection whatsoever! My type na action-packed movie sure pass!

I now watch my favorite movies in the room while the rest are in the living room. Someone needs to tell me how to develop some likeness for this telemundo. Its isolating for me seeing my wife and sister screaming, laughing hard, moody and ecstatic while watching this piece. I want to flow with them in enjoying those emotional outburst while it lasts. I want to scream when they scream too.

Bros/Sis, have you decided to intentionally bury your head in the sand ( Ostrich style)? A few have confirmed on here and can be inferred that many more have not displayed the knowledge here.
All the positive energy you can display is believe that with or without the sources that can tell your AC performance, you will get in with the efforts you displayed earlier in the year.
People already know their status, I wish I was one.

You speak like an insider who was at the HR-MGT DEBRIEFING on repositioning NLNG's manpower for 2020 target. You just said it well but Engineering slots are much more in number. Yes! It affects all. Ur slot is ur slot. Increase intake to 500, reduce it to 10, onye chukwu ga emere ebere ka oga emere ebere (anyone can transliterate).

they will do what is best for their business and the company's future.... they are not employing gts to come and make NLNG number one in the next 6months.....they are employing the future of the company.

engineering ,science, law or even humanities....i think everyone has a vital role to play...everyone is affected.

Bros how far ? What's the way forward ?
basically, the headache is, what do we do with the successful excess? Put them on Wait list? For how long when we are not sure of anything concrete in nearest future? How do we deal with the SUCCESSFUL EXCESS? Do we raise the bar as per performance cut off to trim down to our desired size? We can't possibly change the rules in the middle of the game it does not portray our hallmarks and core values. They are facing a tough impasse. Pity them, pray for them to come out with decision that will be favorable to all. Engineering guys, I salute una. Your garri dey rise bembestically. Never give up......

The most sane thing is for them to release the dawn thing before mid January, make people carry their life do something. Psychologically, the investment you guys have put in can effortlessly fund train 7 and 8 if monetized.

Yes it has been an issue resolving with the management the number of GT intakes. Yes they have resolved to recruit far less than the figure earlier envisaged and proposed. Yes 2015 has come to an end. The year was like a car on a journey but lost a tyre (oil price fall). The driver managed the car (company) to the nearest vulcanizer stand (end of the year) to properly take his time to fix the tyre. Now, companies are going to sit down and decide well how they are going to swim through 2016 with less shock. Plenty marathon meetings underway. A lot of companies, wobbled through the year till they hit the last month of the year. You know the industry was caught unaware in the middle of the journey we don pack load, plan journey come take off. A lot of companies just managed to keep some staffs on their employ till end of the year. Now, every tom, dike and hanna's position and job function MUST be thoroughly evaluated to justify it's individual existence else it will be absorbed into another role, just as Buhari collapsed ministries.

Now, companies are studying a lot of predictions and forecast of 2016 to base their budgets and plans so as to weather through the coming year without much economic shock. So, how do they do this? They make plans against the worst industry meltdown scenario. FG, picked $38/barrel of crude oil for her budget, but many predictions says oil will fall to about $20/barrel.

So, my info is, yes the number of prospective GTs to be employed have been drastically reduced. Does it call for panic? No!!! It calls for diversification and pluralization of plans and pursuit. Yes, in this part of the world, we are jack of all trades and master of all because of the dynamism of our economy and country. Every move and plan one makes in this country must have series of back up plans. No thanks to an unpredictable country and her dicey economic mileu. Let's have an open mind and begin to think outside the box. Wish you all a great year ahead.

In the commercial development of an LNG value chain, LNG suppliers first confirmed sales to the downstream buyers and then sign long-term contracts (typically 20–25 years) with strict terms and structures for gas pricing.

The trade of LNG is completed by signing an SPA (sale and purchase agreement) between a supplier and receiving terminal, and by signing a GSA (gas sale agreement) between a receiving terminal and end-users. Most of the contract terms used to be DES or ex ship, holding the seller responsible for the transport of the gas.

LNG purchasing agreements used to be for a long term with relatively little flexibility both in price and volume. If the annual contract quantity is confirmed, the buyer is obliged to take and pay for the product, or pay for it even if not taken, in what is referred to as the obligation of take-or-pay contract (TOP).

In the mid-1990s, LNG was a buyer's market. At the request of buyers, the SPAs began to adopt some flexibilities on volume and price. The buyers had more upward and downward flexibilities in TOP, and short-term SPAs less than 16 years came into effect. At the same time, alternative destinations for cargo and arbitrage were also allowed. By the turn of the 21st century, the market was again in favor of sellers.

However, sellers have become more sophisticated and are now proposing sharing of arbitrage opportunities and moving away from S-curve pricing. Since the advent of alternative destinations and arbitrage, such financial and sales guarantee in the face of such industry melt down was lost. Even if sellers like (NLNG) has a stake on arbitrage opportunities, it is NOT as lucrative as selling as an exclusive seller if possible as enshrined in a SPA.

In conclusion, SPAs are very flexible in terms of clauses covering the prices and volumes of LNG sold to accomodate industry trends in prices, thus there is no significant guarantee for NLNG with the current global drop in oil and gas prices. My 2cent!! ( No my wo bites of chicken lap)
whatsupguys:
But wait o, I thought they sell based on competitive spot and the SPAs ranges from 20-25 years. I thoght that should have been some form of guarantee against price flunctuations? Someone can help shed some light....

Guys, please I am not a pessimist, but we shouldn't be suprised that Nlng may just cancel this recruitment or postpone it till further notice. I reach this conclusion cos I can't fathom out any reason why they can't send at least a notification mail of our AC. What's the difference between now and January, considering the fact that AC was concluded about 4months ago? Besides, they responded to the last EHs within a month. Guys, as far as I'm concerned, those guys don't have plans for us now. Just my thoughts. However it is, # I still believe in Jah's undeserved kindness.

The invites are really going to shock a lot of people. It will indeed humble the haughty. Those of you who have tied your destinies so much to NLNG that you deem it fit to behave as if you are better off than your peers; the job is already yours; you insult the sensibilities of fellows with a crude bragging right, here me now. If you cannot absorb shockers, you better begin to adjust to it. As the mails starts trickling in, you will know that the race is not to the swift. ALL THAT WE ARE IS BY HIS GRACE. lately i have been thinking why no one has come up with a new platform (nairaland clone). Haba!! we are too good in demystifying monopolitic trends in Nigeria. why hasn't anyone created a similar platform? Just like MTN saw other operators break their monoploy. There should be much similar and better discussion forum like nairaland. RomanceWhat A Father Told His Daughter A Day Before Her Wedding by Saved2Serve(op): 6:53pm On Dec 11, 2015
My Daughter, tomorrow you will stop bearing my
name. You will be happily married to the man you love. Dont miss me because I have fulfilled my purpose, it is now time for you to start fulfilling yours. From your childhood, I have raised you well by the grace of God but before you say I do, there are few things I need to tell you about living with a man and being married. Do you remember when you wrote your WAEC and JAMB exams? You came to me and I gave
you 20,000 naira for the registration? Well, even though I gave it to you, the money was not mine. I know you always thought I paid the fees. The truth is, I was broke… but your mother gave me the money She could have given it to you but she decided to give it to me to give to you.
Support your husband.

Some times things will get tough… he will befrustrated. Even though he acts tough, in his mind he has fears… he fear
you may not value him anymore because he has fallen. That is the time to get behind him and support him!
The best way to show your husband you love
him is to respect him! You may argue with him, you may disagree but at the end of the day, let him know he has your respect.
Do you remember the day I screamed at your
mother? What did she do? She was quiet! Do
you also remember the day she screamed at me? What did I do? I was quiet! My daughter learn to be quiet sometimes when your husband is angry. When one person is hot, the other should be cool. If two are always screaming at
same time, that is how big problems start in
marriage.

The first thing to know about your husband is his favourite food! If he has more than one then keep them at the back of your mind. Dont let him ask for it, always prepare it for him.
There was a day your mother caught me
touching a woman’s hand affectionately. I was lust after that woman but I was not yet cheating on your mum. When she saw us… she didnt fight
The lady, she quietly left. I was afraid of going home because all hell will break lose. But when I got home she said nothing. She served me my food. Guilt was taking control over me. I started begging. From that day, I never looked at a woman two time. Who knows? If she had fought and threatened me… maybe I could have run away from the fight into the arms of the lady. Sometimes Silent brings better solution than fight.
Forget those romantic novels you read while you were 21.

Remember those Indian and American love movies? Also remember those too sweet Nollywood films on African magic? Forget them! Don’t expect your married life to be that way. Life is different from fiction The last thing I want to tell you…. Do you remember how you were born? After our wedding, things were tough and your mum had to do two jobs to support us. I was working as well. I get home 6 PM while she gets home 8pm tired. But when we get to bed… she will not refuse me my night food. That is how you were born. Dont form a habit of denying your husband of his night food. Be a good wife. You will always Daddy’s girl…

CrimeRe: Man Beats Pregnant Wife To Death In Lagos For Calling Him ‘irresponsible’ by Saved2Serve: 11:58am On Dec 11, 2015
she died, because of her own mouth. She is in the grave and he will be jailed. This is why we need to show restraint when we are in our worst element. As a woman, be very careful what you say to ur man in heated argument, especially towards his ego. The man, don't you know that the strength of a woman is in her mouth? You can kill if you follow what comes out of her mouth?

what happens to staying off the argument scene for some hours to cool down before you talk it over in a sensible way. in such situations, i urge men to calmly steer clear the scene, leave the house for a cool spot, before u know it, you will chill. Wives, guard your mouth. keep silent when arguments are taking this direction,.......learn to keep shut at times.

At this stage you are in the recruitment process, methink you should have depressurized your adrenaline bag to PSLL (pressure switch low low). They have not got back to you because they are fixing up a huge part of the estate (RA). A lot of EHs/GTs coming to the island in the next 1Q of 2016. You recall they recently hired an estate manager? Cross the Ts only....You can use this period to rapsodize over your bonny lodge; how u will wake up each morning, hit the office/plant, learn passionately your job. Also, spend time to relish the thoughts of how amazed and challenged you will be to meet colleagues who knows that massive plant like the back of their palms. See them quoting Industry codes, standards n discussing process issues in relation to imminent challenges. Also, imagine when you will have gained complete mastery of the operations of all the modules of that plant after say 6months, what lasting impacts you will drive for the betterment of our dear nation and NLNG. Just create mental pictures for your next experience and make your self happy. Watch your weight and your john thomas my dear forkadict. grin grin

I can authoritatively tell you that will not happen in this present millennium. To prove my point, ask yourself if we have achieved the level of development the US has attained as far back as the 18th centuryhuh I am yet to see any technology in naija that is 100%naija. I may be wrong tho and I stand corrected. The best we do is semi knock down where we import major parts and assemble them here. We are very very very far from any technological breakthrough in this country.

In other news, you mean you have already resumed in this new job of yours? and you are already on the rig in naija? And then when do you think our offers will drop? Cos I am back to checking my mail every ten minutes like I was doing when I was expecting the interview feedback. Its so freaking frustrating. Sighs....
