Nairaland / General / The Tears That Never Dropped by Savoryzinny(f): 7:34pm On May 29, 2023
I want to let it all out
I want to be free
The emotions that I feel
The pain in my heart
Wish I could let it flow
This hurt feels different

When strength fails
When hope is lost
When you're not sure about today
When dreams never come true
When the choice is a mistake
And all you could do is stare

River of forgetfulness would've been the rescue
I stayed all day long hoping it would flow
The pain that chooses never to metamorphose Into what nature would've seen as fate, but refuses to accept it
It's obvious the pain overwhelmed the tears.

THE TEARS THAT NEVER DROPPED

Family / Re: Is This Selfishness Or Not by Savoryzinny(f): 2:22pm On May 23, 2023
This would have made sense if adoption is free or at least affordable. The process is very tasking and you may end up spending close to a million or more. This is the reason people prefer using same amount for IVF or probably, wait on the Lord.
I think the right thing should be, if you can afford to take care of a child and willing to adopt, the process should be less complex and if possible free.
The government should look into it.

quote author=Skyview01 post=123265367]Ok. This is my personal opinion and do not take it personal as you are entitled to your own opinion as well.

I often hear couples give testimonies about looking for the fruit of the womb for about twenty years and some of them may even be in their fifties or late forties.

My question is, what is stopping these couples from adopting and putting joy in the life of some hopeless baby out there in the motherless homes.

Why are we not able to spread happiness to some hopeless baby while still continue to wait on the lord. Why must we adopt our relatives?

When people tell me they prayed for 15 or 20 years for the fruit of the womb, i consider them with a mixed reaction, some come across to me as selfish to be honest.

You are looking for babies, there are babies out there looking for parents, i believe the law of demand and supply should work here or wada ya think.

If you are out there and looking to God for the fruit of the womb, adoption is a viable option.

I know a lady who had her womb removed during a fibroid operation. She is still praying for the fruit of the womb for the past ten years instead of going to adopt.[/quote]

I have never queued on the line for over 5 years to make withdraws. It has always been cashless and probably little cash for mini expenses. Grow up please!

femisplash:
With a phone call, Peter Obi could direct the MD of Fidelity bank to bring any amount to his home within two hours. Atiku, the SPV crooner could get as much naira bills as he wanted from any of his bank managers. If anyone could show me a picture of Obi or Atiku on a bank queue struggling for cash, I will be willing to transfer 70k cash to such person.
These two enemies of the masses, asked zombidients to bear the brunt and suffer while their parents go to bed in an empty stomach yet these clowns come online to cheer these two devils as long as they foolishly think the policy is affecting Tinubu 🤣
PDP is even more confused, Sokoto PDP is joined in the suit against the FG while Bayelsa and Edo PDP are joined in the suit defending the FG.

HeRulesMen:
I don't know if this is the right section to post this, if not, mod please take it to the right section.

My online brothers and sisters, help me thank God for preserving my life as I almost left this wicked world last Friday, 13th January, 2023. 13th January has become a day I will never forget in life. Since I graduated from the university, I am yet to get a job that is well-deserving of my status. I'm not talking about big jobs with heavy remuneration (not as though I won't grab it if I see one of such) but just something to earn a living from. The last salaried job I did was a contract job which lasted only 6 months. Since then, despite my efforts, applying to every nook and cranny to land a job, I have been unlucky. However, I still keep hope alive.

However, it makes me think Nigeria really need to redefine and re-axamine the value of education in the country and what it stands for. Does it stand for nation building or for frustration? That is something for another day BTW.

Back to the topic, so with a woman and two kids to take care of, I had to go do labourer job at a construction site to earn something. That Friday was my second day in the place. I never thought it would end in disaster but I thank God that even after falling from such a distance, I didn't die, neither the mason man that was on the scaffold.

The thing is that I was carrying mortar and blocks to the mason, climbing using ladder. You know this local scaffold builders use. That thing they nailed together as V 'abi' L, place them on the wall and put planks on top to stand on. I don't know what happened that the blocks put at one end to weigh its balance failed while I was already up there. Long story short, everything collapsed and that was how we landed on the ground from the finishing end of the building. It should be a distance of 12 feet or more.

What worsened the case was the mason. As the scaffold collapsed, he immediately and unconsciously grabbed the newly laid blocks in safety attempt, not remembering he just laid those blocks. You know that kind thing. Landing on ground, that was how those blocks came upon us in their number like some sort of blast. To top it all, I didn't earn a penny that day. The man is even blaming us for the collapse.

I sustained injuries but my waist especially seems to have dislocated as a result of hitting it on ground while landin. I have been feeling sharp pains from the inside since then.

Since that Friday, I have been down physically and psychologically. As I am reflecting on it today, I decided to write it down.

No matter how it has affected me, physically, psychologically, economically and health-wise, I still thank God for sparing my life and I want you to join me in thanking him.

Thank you for reading also.

Please don't quote me, my members have stopped paying tithes they're saying things are hard so lack of money is affecting my prophetic vision

But I really mean it, Nigeria would reach the semi final and carry bronze. I saw it just now.

I see Oshimen wining the golden boot ahead of ronaldo and Messi, I see Uzoh saving 7 penalties for Nigeria.

This I have seen.

This is where folks get it wrong. Such testimonies get me angry. How can you share a testimony without telling us how it actually happened. Should women expecting to convince do nothing medically, pray and hope or while you were waiting, did you go for medical alternatives? We should be clear on these things so that people can learn the actual truth.

Stop shooting yourself in the leg! If it was sold out, that place can never be that empty. Stop hyping what’s not!

People left their seat in a sold out show and the vacancy was that glaring.

I am ceratain you have not been to a sold out show.

Here yourself again with the flimsy excuse you painted. People left their seat and why the glaring vacancy!

Dunce!

If you think it is easy to achieve any success in the showbiz, try doing same yourself. It takes a lot to do what Davido did. We should stop pulling people down with this our yeye comparing syndrome. You that know what sold out show looks like, when are you hosting yours?

Romance / What Makes Men Very Attractive To Women by Savoryzinny(f): 8:30am On Mar 07, 2022
Men often think that being attractive is a woman's job.
Attraction can be a deal breaker in a relationship to some people. Good grooming and knowing the right way to represent yourself is the key. Looks don't pay the bills but sometimes, it covers up a lot of limitations especially to the younger folks, and this can be achieved following some simple tips. This video explains in detail how Men can be More Attractive to Women.

Getting a divorce is never part of the plan when getting married because no one plans or wishes to fail. However, a situation may happen in marriage that may result in divorce. Many would rather not discuss this subject no matter how difficult their relationship is maybe due to religion or cultural believes. you will get help from church simply because you show your willingness to the people, you didn't show it to God. So,the people will help you, not God.

This is the reason why, people that pay tithe and offerings feels that they are getting help from God because they are paying. In the real sense, it is not God that is helping them, it is the people that are seeing what they are doing that is helping them

Sound it louder. It is so obvious

Religion / How I Used My New Phone As Offering | Story Of My Life by Savoryzinny(f): 6:22am On Mar 05, 2022
As a baby Christian who only believes what Daddy G.O says some years ago, I was lied to that untill you give God something, he will not do anything for you. I had just finished my NYSC, and decided to gift a new phone to myself for a job well done. I was in church few days later when the G.O said, "God will not do anything for you untill you show your willingness to serve him with your tithes, and offerings"
At the time, I was job hunting in Lagos. I only had little to sustain me, and the new phone I just got after my POP. As I was still trying to navigate my thoughts, he said "you can give anything, from cash to material gifts because then, they do collect material gifts as offerings from congregants. It was a bitter pill to swallow because this was my first Android phone, but I was really in need of a government job. I thought that by bribing God with your offerings/substance like they claim and preach, you get all you pray for. They never mentioned to me that without appropriate hard work, and being intentional in your dealings you can hardly get anything from God. It took me 3 years to figure it out. I had to go learn some skills (cake and pastries) which is my savings grace. After being in business for few years, I later got an appointment with the Federal government after another 3 years which brings it to 6 years, but that is after I acquired extra certificates like Masters, and PhD in view though the salary is really really bad.
I hate that churches makes their fellows believe that offerings and tithes is the ultimate instead of emphasis on hard work. This is the most reason some Christians think that something is wrong with them especially when they sow with everything they have, and are yet to reap a grain of corn.
Have you experienced same? Share your thoughts.
