Mellorix: Thanks - for your guidance, - Of course payment when i see what i am buying.Mellorix, its really good to play it safe. but just to let you know there are some really good and respected guys here, an example is this US-Auto buy (we usually know him as Kunle-A). and he has been very helpful to me and some others. i am not saying you must do business with him, i am only saying on the list of good guys, he is one of them. Sometimes its good we come out to speak when we have had dealings with the good guys so we separate the good guys from the bad guys. you could also try Calculusx, Inspired, Fhemmy....a few of some other good guys out here. i wish you the best in your search. |
Gee2728: I drive a W202 C230k, from kaduna 2 abuja along that Alheri camp road I did 237km/h. Am quite confident on a free road will hit 250km/h.i really need a Mercedes Benz!!! |
Gods-child:Lomomike just corrected me, its a 5 speed transmission. my bad on the 6 gears. y no to the test na ![]() ![]() ?? hahahahahahaha......please rethink..... |
lomomike: . well you are wrong bro, Any car with any factory installed gear box irrespective of its gear number be it <, 3, 4, 5 > speed gear auto can hit its top speed except that car is limited or the gear or engine has fatigue or problems. As f®я engine screaming, its caused by a number of factor, such as O/D off in automatic transmission, engine wear out due to age, engine under stress, bad driving habit (flooring accelerator pedal with out switching to correct/higher gear ratio manual/ gear in neutral mode), indecision of auto tranny especially uphill or downhill (the automatic gear trying to select a suitable gear thus shifting up or down gears). My QX4 is a 4speed+O/D auto tranny and I can easily attain speed of above 160 with ease and the engine won't cry.very well explained. seconded. tnx lomomike |
lomomike: @ sawyerrola sorry your 2008 toyota 4runner V6 doesn't use a 6 speed autonmatic gear (except u had changed it with some other vehicle gear). It uses a 5speed automatic. Toyota 4runners V6 2003-2004 used a 4 speed automatic which was replaced with a 5speed automatic gear in 2005 which was also shared with 4runners with V8 engine.thanks a lot for the correction. at top speed sometimes i think I've got a 7 speed automatic gear under there. you seem more experienced on this gear thing than i am. well, you know the gears, i drive the truck. nice one. |
yungboss: ^^thats like 120mph, 120mph=+190km/h it isnt really a fast vehicle, considering its an SUV, its fairly fast.you're right boss. not as fast as i wanted too. anything more than 110mph (which is the max speed for my suv) would have been nice. i think i need to own a Mercedes benz at this point!!!lol.... but like you said, pretty fast and stable for an SUV its size. |
nissparts: Impressive. Especially with the RPMs staying low. What engine size?thanks boss. its just a V6 4.0 engine size. |
Gods-child:hahahahahaha...its just 5 gears on a 4.0l engine. with my limited knowledge and experience, i just explained this some minutes ago on another thread. lemme copy paste it 'at 5500 rpm on 180km (max gear ratio reached) then you have to check why your gear box didn't change from gear 4 to gear 5. at max gear without too much force on your accelerator, you should be below 5500 rpm at that speed because you should be cruising at this point. once your rpm needle is in the red, take a break. its just a waste of fuel. ' and i forgot to add that to take pictures at such speed, please take it easy on your acceleration. no risky multitasking with only 1 copy of your life....lol... but if you are in Abuja, I'm willing to give you a test drive.... maybe you see for yourself how it happens. Book a test drive today....hahahahahaha |
just did this with a 2008 4runner limited 4x4 today. Location: Abuja
|
Emperoh: JESUS IS THE SON OF GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!my Boss the Emperoh....na real o! make your office people see the sequence. tell your office people sey at 5500 rpm on 180km (max gear ratio reached) then you have to check why your gear box didn't change from gear 5 to gear 6. at max gear without too much force on your accelerator, you should be below 5500 rpm at that speed because you should be cruising at this point. once your rpm needle is in the red, take a break. its just a waste of fuel. thanks for the link/thread you sent. i have posted it there. thanks boss. |
Today, i gave my SUV a stretch.......just to get the engine relaxed a bit. Warning.....please and please don't try this (at home) if you don't have any of the following: 1) 15km of free way ahead of you without bends 2) 200% road visibility up to 5km 3) certified one owner vehicle of which you have the service history for the previous year (comes by default if purchased from V. A. Autos, Mr Calculusx himself) 4) tires that are not more than 6 months old 5) seat-belts fastened properly 6) a heart of steel and liver of iron 7) very important, God on your side! Calculusx, this your SUV dey give me mind o!!!!...

mishooo: ^^Nice and neat job.Yep...100% 9ja. |
Pastor Kun: Good morning Guysthanks sir. i have see some of your finished products which are excellent, you were my first choice if i was based in Lagos. |
Pastor Kun: I have been able to watch the video and yes we can do the wrapping stuff, however i am just curious why you would want to wrap your car here in Nigeria. In europe or america, some people opt for wrapping cause it's much cheaper to do than getting a paint Job cause it's really expensive to get a decent paint job over there due to high labour costs. Over here in Nigeria, it's the other way round as our labour charges are quite low. It would actually cost you less to do a matte apint job than to buy the vinyl wrapp alone if you are buying it from somewhere like the UK where the wrap alone could cost as much as 300 pounds.Pastor Kun, very well said. perfect true explanation. you just hit the nail on the head. QED. ill gladly share my picture here to give an idea of a matte job. although i didn't do this in Lagos, i know you can do same. keep up the good job. Mishooo...just do a matte paint job. ill say dont wrap if you ask me!

chiteny: I checked through my mails, phone's text messages and call logs and i did not find any recent discussions on this matter with you. Though i have not checked through all the write-ups on NL but i don't think i will find any of such discussions either.hahahahahahaha....like Uncle Step says, check the Fax.....yes boss, you can be sure i know what best to do to a good friend. Calculusx, you're a good Friend too, so ill split the ride and sell half to each of you. one takes the front section, and the other takes the rear section. believe me, both sections come with at least two tyres, one windscreen, ac ducts, VIN labels, two doors, airbags. so no cheating. |
calculusx:i never put for sale yet o! hahahahahahahahaha see fight wan start......this thread never dies....at all at all.... |
chiteny: Bros is this your SUV? I no recognize am again o. Custom pimped for a big boy!! Enjoy it and let me know hen you want to dispose it. nissparts: Sawyerr, what color are your rims?Boss, your guess is as good as mine.....full matte black.
|
earthrealm: changed the oil and spark plugs myself couple of weeks ago...prefer doing such routine maintaince myself.....not a big fan of mechanics!!!!......lovely lights. cant wait to start your project boss. |
cretin: @sawyerolla..nice job on ur 4runner...it looks like plasti dip to me...is it?...such jobs cost as much as $600 in the usa...but the beauty of it is..you can remove it at any time..or change the colour of ur car to what ever u want...rock it for a while and revert back to the original colour..@Cretin thanks boss. i spent a lot of time on T4R forum and took Ilyas truck as my model truck. I loved his job. at first wanted to plasti dip so i can reverse if i don't like it, so i ordered a lot of spray cans. i tried first only grills, emblems and tires. They looked good (see pics below). But i decided to do a full matte permanent paint job this time. I just wanted a permanent stay since i liked it. My time on T4R really paid off. Got all my idea from Ilyas truck and decided to give it a go one step at a time. Just for the love of the look i had to put all these mods on the budget immediately. And believe me, it's very well worth the price. The Borla exhaust is just da bomb! You need to hear the gentle roar. Couldn't ask for more!!!!!!...lol.... Yeah my truck is 4wd limited. I don't have the xreas suspension yet, next mod project is actually the CBI off-road bumpers, I just love the solid feel of the bumpers especially for 9ja taxi drivers...lol... at the moment I am having a hard time on agreeing shipping cost because of the weight but I hope to get that sorted soon. I so so so wish I could attend the 4runner meet. In fact Earthrealm should start planning a 4runner meet here in 9ja and let's see how it goes, then a cross country drive (sorry partial cross country because we wont get to the north at least for now) would be so much fun. Earthrealm please take note o!!!!!

9icetoo: Im interested in doing something like this to my ride too bro. Where did you do it in ph and for how much?i could send you their details by email. you can shoot me a mail on sawyerrola@yahoo.com |
nissparts: Very nice!!!thanks boss. did in port harcourt. |
sawyerrola: still working with my SUV....some small changes again. took delivery of my Borla dual exit exhaust and i got them fixed almost immediately. thought it was a plug and play DIY job. most definitely wasn't, very minor mods anyway. this is what i did to my SUV today. now my SUV roars. shouldn't increase my fuel consumption i hope (i was actually told it wouldn't by the manufacturers), but would monitor its performance. for the kind of impressive sound i get from the roar, a few mpg off the expected wont be so bad after-all. lol...so far so good. more works going on. gave my SUV a new face. led rings, full matte body. jet fighter switches!!! nice i must say. photo shoot in progress.
|
sawyerrola: hahahahahahahahahahaha.....dispose ke!!!!!!! na you deliver me SUV wey still get like 10 more active years, so the disposing factor cant be earlier than 10yrs time o!!!!!except Baba God bless us again. and as you can se, the SUV dey appreciate, so the price in 10yrs time go triple the purchase price as at 2012....hahahahaMr Fowler, the new face of your SUV. it just keeps getting better. stay tuned for full photo shoot.
