Career / Re: Oil Companies In Nigeria And Their Staff Entry Salary by Sayboy: 1:23pm On Apr 22, 2019
I agree with you,

I have been called for aptitude test by Mobil, Schlumberger but people will keep saying it's scam!

I am waiting for them to roll out application this year, I know I didn't prepare enough for the tests that's why I missed out.

Hint: My CV was really loaded sha, I just packed everything I have done relating to what these companies do.

Be saying you cant enter IoC without connection so gbo, is that not how people told you it's hard to enter UI, Unilag, OAU dem?

couragemurphy:

Exactly, I even had to tell them of my own experience and some of my colleagues. But the ones (few) that believed will always come back for testimonies. During my time 50 of us were employed once in 2010 by a major energy company here in Nigeria without knowing anyone. I was even in Benin when I applied, and went to PHC for the 1st time in my life because of the job.

Till today the few people that believe like Caleb and Joshua are making it big time in Nigeria.

Like today I even posted on this thread earlier of ExxonMobil currently recruiting......but many of them as usual will not even apply but will be quick to speak thrash

Career / Re: How Can I Go Into Finance Industry Without A Finance Degree? by Sayboy: 8:09pm On Apr 21, 2019
Hi Steve,

The finance industry is very open so far you can get the technical knowledge required.

Now that you just realized you have passion for Finance)Accounting, enroll for ICAN.

Although CFA will give you an edge, it's quite expensive tho.

If you have the fund too, opt for an MBA at a top Business School, companies will be lining up to employ you.
