Orokojasper:in SA we call it innovation and always adopting to changes, instead of old ways that are slowly being inefficient. On day you too will have a country like that, don't lose hope! |
topmag2019:nigeria police will create their own app,in the year 3000. One thing that makes South Africa always win,is always adopting to change and inventing or copying and puttin local touch to good thing Asians and Westerners are doing. |
Lovelive:lol, atleast that will solve our problem of where we will store our nuclear waste from our currenct and future nuclear waste. South Africa National Defence Force can level Lagos and Abuja so Nesca and Denel can sunk storage shaft,so we can put them safely there without polluting our environment here. Smart idea ma broda |
psucc:try boycotting all 120 South African companies for a year, see if you can! 8-) from Game,Shoprite,EcoBank(is owned by Nedbank),Stanbic,Tiger Brands to MTN and DSTv. Even your government can't afford to lose the trillions of nairas they're paying in tax (nigerian owned companies don't pay tax or pay less ,that's why your Tax to GDP is 4.8 compared to South africa's 29,with world average being 32) |
revolt:there are a lot of British who get killed every year here(check news on the internet) ,but they still come in numbers. Come decembers,Mega yachts and private jet of the rich european and few american decend to South Africa (From Lord Laidlaw who has his Bugatti Veyron,Mclaren P1 and Ferrari Enzo and La ferrari here, Prince Harry who consider SA his second home to Bill Gates who visit SA atleast once a year and Oracle owner) . Majority of British politicians and royal families own holiday homes here(and hold South Africa citizenship). |
Midas01:nigeria has been ranked the most unlivable country not at war. Even wild life migrated to the neighbouring countries and have no plans of coming back. |
googi:it is the richest city in the whole continent,it has more private wealth than GDP of your country. Money exchanging hands there daily, can feed and dress every Nigeria for the next 100 years. |
madmohamed:haha, atleast you know that SA weak like Nigeria-that can't even tell Chinese that they're violating their national laws. Even if Xi Jimping, demand that your lifeless president kiss his feet-he will do it without protest. Same as average Nigerian will do to a chinese national. In South Africa,non-South African chinese are foreign who have to abide by the rules of the nation or be deported. But in Nigeria they're semi gods,to such extend that when they fall victim to crime,Police dedicate their last resource to get them justice. Slaves of migrants from China,Libanon and India. |
Racoon:nigerians were never invited in SA,if they're not happy they can retrace their steps back home. Same as SAfrican who tried to leave in Nigeria and found it unlivable, and went back home. There is no use in forcing yourself where you are not wanted. |
frosbel2:The ONLY South African politician who enjoy support from all citizens, regardless of their race, age and class. As always he is on point. He has a clean record of governance,he things in Johannesburg in less than 4 year that dying horse aka ANC has been promising for 20 years. If DA put him as their presidential candidate, they will win with the big majority and turn ANC in an opposition party. Always on point! |
morpheus24:saharan africa is the arab north africa, which many(including those who live there) call middle east. Examples of those are Morocco and Egypt. Central to North Africa is from DRC to West and Africa, excluding Saharan Africa (almost all this states are facing tribal wars and always have violence during elections. Security forces disperse protectors with live ammos. Have green forests and largely undeveloped at all, compared to Southern Africa and Saharan Africa ) . Southern Africa is Mauritius,Seychelles,Angola,Botswana,Mozambique,Swaziland,Lesotho,Zimbabwe,Zambia,Malawi and South Africa. Far Southern Africa are countries that share culture, history, languages, economic future, boarders, common ancestors and cuisines with South Africa, those are Namibia,Lesotho,Swaziland,Southern Mozambique and lastly South Africa (to simplify that they're basically to South Africa, what Hong Kong,Macau and Taiwan are to China). |
CeterisXVII:that because nigeria is a lawless jungle, where even cow herders walk around with AK47. Next attack our embassy, especially with petrol bombs-it will be for the benefit of South Africa. Just pray that sanction on Iran don't get lifted, because we will once again start buying their oil and also we have discovered oil in the India Ocean. |
HeWrites:that's from ANC not the population. There is a difference from ANC and South Africans/Government. In the next election it will be voted out of power and replaced possibly by coalition led Democratic Alliance party (which is a former white liberal party, which doesn't believe in AU and also will arrest any african leader that is wanted by ICC) |
J111333:maybe northern to central sub-saharan africa and few sh!holes in the south africa. Other than South Africa,no single country is willing to invest in Africa. But will be a good for our companies to focus on Saharan Africa, our neighbouring countries (Namibia,Botswana,Swaziland and Lesotho),Mauritius,Seychelle,Asia, Middle East and Europe. Even your neighbours refused to join your 'Sanction South Africa' chorus, instead they called our government to distance themselves from such call. (they see an opportunities to host South Africa companies currently operating your failed state). |
[quote author=Tobbydhayor90 post=82029977]Xenophobia: SERAP asks African commission to take South Africa to court, seeks $10bn for victims .... Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) has sent an open letter to Mrs Soyata Maiga, Chairperson of the African Commission on Human and Peoples’ Rights and the commission’s members requesting them: “to urgently submit a case on the escalating xenophobic attacks against Nigerians and other African citizens in South Africa to the African Court on Human and Peoples’ Rights and to seek an effective remedy and reparation for Nigerian victims.” SERAP said: “these attacks constitute serious violations of the human rights of Nigerians and other African citizens in South Africa.” The organization also urged the commission to “seek in the case to the African Court, punitive damages and adequate compensation of $10 billion (USD) on behalf of hundreds of Nigerian victims and their families. This amount will sufficiently take into account individual harm suffered by victims.” In the open letter dated 6 September 2019 and signed by SERAP deputy director Kolawole Oluwadare, the organization said: “This is a key moment for the commission to push to protect the human rights of the victims. The commission ought to make it clear to the South African authorities that the victims of the heinous crimes have a right to an effective remedy and reparation, which includes restitution, compensation, rehabilitation, satisfaction and guarantees of non-repetition.” The organization also said: “For the sake of the victims, the commission should move swiftly on the matter to prevent further harm to Nigerians and other foreign nationals in the country. Unlike for individuals and NGOs, the African Court Protocol does not require Nigeria to have made the declaration under Article 34(6) for the commission to submit a case on behalf of the Nigerian victims before the Court.” The open letter read in part: “If the victims see that a process for ensuring adequate compensation for the crimes committed against them in South Africa is underway, it will also discourage revenge violence and killings and help break the cycle of violence that is now spiralling beyond control in the country.” “If the commission does not pursue a case for compensation for victims, the Nigerian government may compel it to do so before the court. The call for an effective remedy and reparation for the victims of xenophobic attacks and violence is overwhelming, and comes from direct victims and their families, from the Nigerian government and the leadership of Nigeria’s National Assembly.” “Pursuing the case before the African Court and seeking adequate compensation in the sum of $10 billion (USD) would help to ensure justice to the victims and deter South African authorities and high-ranking public officials who incite hatred, violence and discrimination.” “Pushing for payment of $10 billion (USD) compensation for Nigerian victims of xenophobic attacks and violence can demonstrate that the days of impunity for these crimes are gone.” “This would also ensure the effective implementation of the commission’s Resolution ACHPR/Res.131 (XXXXIII) and Resolution ACHPR/Res.304 (LVI) as well as its press statements of 2017 and 4 April 2019, which expressed grave concern over xenophobic attacks that took place in 2008, 2015, 2017 and 2019 respectively.” “Every African citizen in South Africa is guaranteed the rights to life and human dignity no matter their nationality or migration status. The commission should call on high-ranking political leaders in South Africa to immediately end public statements, which amount to advocacy of hatred or incitement to discrimination, hostility or violence.” “The commission should consider the xenophobic attacks as amounting to serious and widespread violations of human rights of Nigerians in South Africa. The lack of accountability and adequate compensation for the xenophobic attacks and violence committed against Nigerians in South Africa for many years has fostered a sense that there are no consequences for violence.” “SERAP notes that the African Commission has condemned the xenophobic attacks and violence, noting that ‘the attacks not only constitute possible violations of the African Charter on Human and Peoples’ Rights but are also contrary to the principles and ideals of African solidarity cherished in the African Charter.’” “It is now time for the commission to move beyond mere resolutions and statements. The commis so you think south africans (black, white,Indian, mixed race and chinese) will allow for their tax money,to be payed to people who are illegal and most committing crime (drugs, prostitution, human trafficking, building hijacking, armed robberies, ransom kidnapping, scams, etc) in their country? If ANC entertain that,it will be the end of it and definately be overthrown. And replaced by former white liberal party,DA,which is pro west... |
freelansa:If Nigeria dare do that,it will regret that for the rest of it's country if it exist as a country after that. Most of those companies have large number of American,British,German,Singaporean,Hong Kong, etc share holders (from pension funds, hedge funds, banks to trusts of wealthy families). Take Shoprite for example,Norway Pension Fund hold a double digits stake there. Americans and British make up over 50% of shareholders. Game is own by Massmart a south african company, which Waltmart bought a controlling stake. MTN has amongs it's shareholder, some of the most powerful men on earth. SABMiller merged with Brazillian-Belgium AB Inbev, giving old AB InBev controlling stake in the 'new' company. DSTv is owned by world tech investment giant Naspers a South African company, with top contacts in US and Britain...so expect foreign nigeria accounts to be frezzed and assets to be attached or worse sanctions from US and Britain. |
kettykin:yes,why are you asking? |
frosbel2:lol. The research started when USA started using drones in Afghanistans. Go check introduction dates of our drones. It is build by black government. So are Surface to Air,Air to Air ,Air to Surface and Surface to Surface missilse. Also south africa is planning to again become a nuclear armed state through backdoors, through putting more effort in research in rocket building and expansion of Uranium power station-whose waste will be used to make the nuclear warheads. China is willing to assist too. |
martowskin1:they merged, but retained AB inbev as their official trading name. SABMiller and AB Inbev shareholders, got new shares of the new AB Inbev based on their holdings/stakes. |
seunrebirth:SABMiller no longer exist,as it merged with AB InBev to create the biggest beer maker on Earth. Yes South Africans have stake in it,but majority of shares are owned by Brazilians, Americans, British, etc. Also do you know Game is owned by South African Massmart, which Waltmat bought controlling stake? Nationalise South Africa based companies and have their American, Europens and British, bring your economy to it's knees. |
ijustdey: |
iCauseTrouble:when they saw how beautiful and advanced SA is,they forgot the reason they came here and they rushed to convert their 'monopoly money' aka Nairas into Rands. And went straight shopping and entertaining themselves. They will just give the lifeless leader, false report when coming back. |
Fabbyking:most will continue with what they're doing in SA,drugs, human trafficking, scams and prostitutions (most nigerians here are doing that) |
9jayes:if your government stop preventing MTN from exiting Nigeria, with their listing of NSE-you will get used to not having 3G . Just like you are used to not having electricity and depending of generators. Without MTN SA,your telecom infrastructure will lack even behind than currently. In SA cheap phones have 24/7 4G network, even in deep rural areas. |
kettykin:if you have even seen South Africa military hardware, you wouldn't even dare say that. Also we have new and secret weapons from France. And our state arm maker,Denel, is currently building armed drones with 48 hours indurance and satellite controlled armed mini tanks. (we also have submarines and destroyers and have capabilities of developing Intercontinental Ballastic Missiles. Our government has avoided adopting ICBMs in our military,to prevent raising eyebrows of the rest of africa ) |
Neddstark:LOL!atleast I am not a victim of tribal and civil wars. |
Neddstark:atleast she doesn't eat dogs, snails, snake, lizards and her country doesn't have 20 million people depending on UN for food. Also she can sleep peacefully without worrying that neighbouring tribe, can come at night with matchet and slaughter her. Also her tribal and religious background doesn't affect, how much she can achieve in her home country (you won't see 'hausa gold medalist' or 'igbo gold medalist',when her name is mentions. She is just a south african and it ends there) |
Eskdale:is your generator dead or out of petrol? |
SoftP:those companies have american,uk,singapore, hong kong, norway, sweden and dubai, mutual funds, banks, pension funds, hedge fund, etc as their largest shareholders. So good luck with nationalising them. |
Jalabase:That will be like putting petrol on the fire, considering is a known fact that majority of Nigerians are into Drugs, scam, human trafficking and lately armed robberies in South Africa (but majority of the dress and sandals wearing,I think they're moslams, are the ones engaging in shop trading). Nigerians girls are hair stylists during the day and prostitutes at night. So what it will do is to united south africans against nigeria and result in government enforcing boarder control and dealing with illegal immigrants (also make them even consider camps for immigrants, like is done all over the continents)...at the end south africans will be the winners,so just do it! |
Area4Area:DSTv is owned by one of the oldest, respected international (from USA,Europe,India,Russia,Japan and China, where it holds large investments) and biggest tech investment company, called Naspers. Like MTN,Shoprite and Game (Game is owned by Massmart,a South Africa whose majority stake was bought by Walmart) ,it has shareholders (hedge funds, banks, mutual funds, pension funds, etc) from USA,Germany, Noway,UK, France,Sweden and China. So goodluck with your nationalisation of their assets dude,Dangote is not an idiot for telling you guys to take a chill pill. |
