Well to cut the long story short, she headed back by 11pm as she didn't want to take chances... Lol and behold she was 4cm, den birthed at 1:02 am to a baby geh....

So I finally saw another gynae.. was strapped to a monitor... gynae decided to check my cervix, she put her fingers der and shook her head and said cervix is still closed nd asked me to go back home and come back when d pain is 3 mins apart... now heading home with mixed feelings..

38weeks is okay to give birth. I can bet you'll have your baby within a week or who knows, we should expect New Year Baby from you. All the same, wish you a same delivery and be vigilant.
You can start drinking Ewedu from now on. You know it draws so it helps baby to come out with ease. It's like wetting the ground and one sliding on it.

My sister, na so i see am o. I was counting week after week not knowing the heartbeat had stopped at 8weeks 1 day. Exactly 4 weeks after, I started seeing brown blood called spotting in my pant. I googled and learnt it could be the placenta but when the spotting continued for 3days, I went for scan and it revealed the fetus had died with no heartbeat. It was diagnosed as Missed Abortion and immediate evacuation needed to be done since my body can't do the job.
Hmmm come see me casting and binding, crying and wailing. I got married last year december and this happened in April. I wanted to give birth this year and was devastated of losing a baby.
With the help of my husband and mil, I summoned see a doctor with the hope he could revive it. The doctor said, I had to evacuate the remains so a new baby can stay. It's like washing a dirty plate so as to have a fresh and hot food.
The DnC was so painful abeg and to think some willingly go for abortion to kill a live fetus is very cruel.
To the glory of God, I got pregnant again in June and this pregnancy is monitored medically and in prayers.
May our expectations never be cut short o

In Jesus name, We thank God because God is able to keep whatever is committed into His hands, even all of us in every family represented here, including our expected babies. O God whose work is beyond human calculations and comprehension, take control of our pregnancies in all ramification and perfect every formation (bones, joints and all parts) of our babies in Jesus name.
The day of delivery of our babies shall come to pass perfectly, bringing forth joy and celebration in Jesus Christ Name. Whatever needs to open on the day of delivery shall open easily in Jesus Christ Name. The doctors, nurses and other health workers that shall attend to us shall be filled with the Spirit of God and shall be helpful, not antagonistic towards us, in Jesus Christ Name.
Father Lord, we desire that in these pregnancies, delivery and every other aspect of our family lives, You will take control and take all the glory in Jesus Christ Name

Father, I pray for those women having problem with conception and miscarriages during pregnancy, every hidden evil load programmed into their wombs to prevent their conception and child-bearing, hear the word of the Lord: MELT AWAY BY THE FIRE OF THE HOLY GHOST IN JESUS NAME!
And those about to conceive, I confess spirit of fruitfulness into your lives, receive fruit of the womb now in Jesus name! Father, please put an end to every forms of fruitless effort in our lives in Jesus name I pray. AMEN!

I have not still not made up my mind on which hospital I will use for antenatal, so can I do this uterine viability scan anywhere?

Yes you can do it anywhere. Wait till 12weeks then and take your antimalaria at the beginning of second trimester. At 12weeks, you need to take an injection on your arm to protect you and your baby.

My mil is a midwife and runs a Maternity clinic. I live in island, an official apartment but can't afford the island hospital bills so I used style style to stay with my mil so she was examining me and giving me all the necessary injection. I joined her antenatal classes but it's unprofessional to deliver my baby so now that i'm in 3rd trimester, I recently registered at a private clinic at 27weeks. I wasn't queried, I showed them all the scans and tests i've done but the money they're calling for delivery, even my mil doesn't charge half of it. When I told her, she's contemplating to take me to one of her superior doctors for free but my husband's ego will be crushed as if there's that money loitering about. What's my own, just waiting for mother and son to decide who's taking my delivery.

According to the routine, you must have an early scan for the viability of uterine pregnancy and to know it's not ectopic pregnancy at 8weeks,
the dating scan at 12weeks when it has fully developed,
the 20weeks scan for anatomy checking and sex revelation,
one at 28weeks and at 36weeks to measure the size and if vaginal or cs to be done.

I had miscarriage at 8weeks only to find out at 12weeks scan so this pregnancy, I follow all the routine scan and now 28weeks.

It's beginning of third trimester for me to the glory of God. Where are my team March mama. Kindly lets start the roll call and enjoy the last trimester.

I'm 27weeks with my first and just relocated to Island. Apparently, I can't afford the 350k for delivery in private hospital here in island so I went to St. Luke's hospital at sabo today and got registered. The delivery is 50k but will like to know how competent and friendly are they? I don't want some wicked nurses and mean midwife on my delivery day

Pls my fellow Nigerians, I'll like to know feedback about Saint Luke's hospital, Sabo-yaba in regards to their antenatal and delivery. How competent and reliable are their staffs.

I'm sorry about your loss! The time frame to wait after a M/C is controversial. Some Drs suggest you wait a few cycles while other suggests you try again right away ( minus passing &/or healing time from d/c, which is usually 2 wks). New research suggests that becoming pregnant again within 6 months of a M/C, lessens your chance of another M/C. Please don't beat yourself up over the m/c & ur weight. It has been said most m/c's result from an imperfect embryo/sperm &/or implantation & ur body's natural defenses take over to no fault of the women. In Sept I had a m/c & was devastated to the point where I decided we weren't going to try again. In Dec I finally got over the M/c enough to have sexual relations w/ my hubby & bam... I'm now 35.6 wks prego which happened outside of my ovulation & w/ 1 ovary.

There is no minimum time limit. What you should be concerned about is what is the cause of the first miscarriage?
Treat that before planning to get pregnant again.
Is that your first pregnancy? If yes what is your Rhesus genotype and that of your husband?
Most first time pregnancy miscarriage is due to Rhesus factor. But fortunately after the miscarriage there is no need of concern. As your body already developed the rhesus antibody so it cant affect subsequent pregnancies

after noticing little spot, i went for 12weeks scan that revealed a miss abortion with no heartbeat at 8.1weeks and did DC immediately on 21st april. it's now 5 days and want to get pregnant as soon as possible.

As a newly wed, i long to have my children. Now I'm ready to move on and try again.

Seeking suggestion from those who have experienced it and how they overcome. What are the do's and don't and when did you try again and any safe delivery afterwards

This has been bothering me but pls i need clarification

LMP: 31st Dec. 2014
my cycle is irregular 23 - 28 days while the last cycle was 23 days

Jan 21: I started having bloating, nausea, and constipation but still tested BFN

Jan. 25: had implantation bleeding which showed pink CM and old blood for 3 days

Feb 2nd: had blood test but BFN and asked to retest in 2wks

Feb 20: did hpt and BFN

March 5th: went for transabdominal ultrasound and the result showed no fetal role and 5 weeks 3days gestational age when i'm supposed to be 9weeks

Pls does anyone have explanation for this? I'm curios

Christmas and my birthday (Dec 26th) always collide but unlike the usual norm of being with my large family at my uncle's place on holiday, this year is going to be different as i'll miss this year's Christmas family tradition and merriment galore .

As a newly wedded wife of 3 weeks, i'm not supposed to visit for a month. To say i've missed my family is an understatement but hubby insisted 'Just two of us' this season and promises to make our first Christmas together as a married couple memorable.

But I wish there would be a party with people as i've never had a big birthday party before because firstly, in the previous years, it always coincided with christmas celebration and that was prefered to marking my birthday so was always birthday wishes only on my day...
You see, i've been cheated for a long time... chai, there's God o!

Secondly, as an innocent child, Nigerian movies corrupted my mind. Ah! You know these scripts at a birthday party scene, either the celebrant/parents died/kidnapped. And that discouraged me, i didn't want to die on my birthday or my loved ones

Now i know better. So for a long time, since my birthday is always a public holiday(Boxing Day), I was looking forward to do wedding on my birthday.

When I shared this with a friend, she didn't spare me with a disdain look then asked if i belonged to one evil cult and vowed to come back on that day.
Hiss. I don't blame her, she's influenced by these Africa Magic Movies.

Anyways, my dream wedding on birthday never see the light of the day because my cousin wants to do his on this dec 27th so had to mine early.

But I'm still not giving up to make Dec 26th a tradition to reckon with either to shift Christmas celebration to my birthday afterall i'm now the madam of the house. Yes ke!

Your brides maid can do gold dress and red accesories(Grmsmen-red tie), and d C.bridesmaid do red dress and gold acces(bestman- gold tie). or d same as d bridesmaid in diff style.
your deco shuld be more of white backgrnd with green, gold and red touches(center pieces, gold table cloth) a good decorator should get it right
