Lol. I'm used to ewedu right from 6months old as infant so I can say how to prepare it even while sleeping.
Body don hear wi! from pregnancy symptoms. Now I dey wait for cervix to dilate

Remove the leaves alone from the stick, wash it with clean water, blend it with little water using your normal blender, cook it for 5minutes and drink. If it's for home soup, you can add melon and iru but for helping labour and delivery, don't even add salt.
As for me, I boiled the whole ewedu along with the stick and root after washing it thoroughly. Now I'm drinking the water

Evening primrose oil capsules worked for me. Dey sell 1card 350 or so. Wash hands. I lie on my back, pierce 2 caps n squeeze d oil into my vijay n use fingers to rub it in n on my cervix.
after I use d finger n smear it on my perineum.
Then I kpekus after. It makes vijay so lubricated so I told dh y its dat way so he wont b put off

I did mornin n nite. I deliverd on d 3rd day. It may soften/rripen ur cervix for labour or take u into labour as my case

Yea thanks. I just read about primose oil on babycentre thread that it doesn't bring labour but soften the cervix. Concerning the kpekusing thing, i'm on my own as oga no look my side again for months - busy with work, tired or scared to hurt me/the baby bla bla bla bla. The last time I forced him, I just made up my mind it's of no use of fighting over it. If he'd done his conjugal duty all this while maybe I would have dilated long before now. besides I've even left home to mil's place because it's very close to hospital in case labour kicks in

I was checked today but cervix is only a tip not yet opened. I was advised to be taking everything hot, lipton and even boiled ewedu leaves and its root to drink.
Pls what else can I do to dilate cervix as induction is scheduled on Saturday night.

Mamatukwas abeg pack your bag o, since you're dilating already. As for me, I don't know if i've already dilated or not. I've not been checked down there but will insist tomorrow. Today 15 march is my 12week scan edd but no show o. I'm using two hospital, one gave me castor oil to induce me today but never take am o since i'm going to another antenatal tomorrow. Will know what they plan to do but according to lmp, it's this saturday i'm due so i'll be induced if labour does not start. What's more? will have saturday owanbe naming ceremony be that, good for my pocket...

March Mamas wey remain, how e dey do you na? This week na my last week according to lmp and first scan. Sometimes, na leg and back pain go hold me, another time, na down there go dey hard as if something wan fall. I dey hold chairman for kpekusing but e no get my time. I don walk tire, chop pineapple so tey... How I wish I fit know which time e go be, I dey on look out for sign of real labour. I don tire to carry belle o, make lo make grand entrance fast abeg

Rejoice03 relax, at 6weeks it's only fetal pole that will be seen. I had 1st scan at 7weeks, it was on fetal pole seen also. Real fetus with the heartbeat can be seen and heard from 8weeks while the whole of its body can be seen at 12weeks. You can start pregnacare plus or max at this point especially folic acid which is much needed in the 1st trimester.

thanks soonest and fina4804. According to lmp, i'll be 39weeks on friday. According to 12weeks scan, I'm 39weeks today with March 15 edd. According to midtrimester 23weeks scan, i'm due on March 10. The last scan I did on feb.22 dated me to Feb. 26 at 39weeks 4 daYS, baby weighing 3.2kg
I just don't want undue induction and prolong labour so as to force baby out though they are scared baby will be on big size now

Been having false contractions right from 37weeks and I kept going to check doc kept saying 1cm so got frustrated wanted to try Vbac and I was told baby mustn't be more than 3.4kg and I wouldn't go past 41weeks. So by 40 weeks went to see the doc he now said he's giving me 10days grace or come for CS on Monday that was yday.

Flash back to Thursday's started losing my mucus plug them Friday contractions become worse was timing and it became 5mins apart still wanted to endure and wait till morning after prayers by 3am I cloudnt endure again had to wake hubby. Prepared my older son fro my Inlaw and we left the house and got to the hospital by 3:30am. By the time I was checked I was about 7cm Matron asked if I wanted to born at home. Entered labour room and by 7:45am baby came out weighing 3.3kg. My doc was so happy though I had tear.

Didn't shout at all o! just kept shaking their bed I'm sure some nuts go don loose for that bed . Thanks to Zaynie for the encouragement. "Labour no too sweet o"

I no even understand when I'm due again but na this March o, no porting. Scan dated 20/3, 15/3, 10/3 and the last dated 26/2 while lmp was June 13
Last week wednesday Antenatal that I was checked, was told that I would not miss that week that the baby engaged fully and ready to be born.
So the hospital called me today to ask how I was doing and I told the matron I was eating yam and egg. She laughed, said something has to be done tomorrow because the last scan dated feb.26, baby at 3.2kg and friday will be the completed 2weeks plus so the plancenta won't work again.
Pls sabi mamas, am I already due or let labour take its full course at its right time. I don't want to be under unnecessary labour while the baby is not ready. Though I feel pain sometimes but no show to say labour has begun

UmmTwins2 I wanted to fine you for delayed bs but with this sweet one, you're hereby discharged and acquitted by grace o. When dh read it, the only lesson he learnt is not to offer me his hand during labour.

Anak123 to God be the glory o. You can google every info you need on how to take care of him but the only thing I know is the skin to skin. Either you or dh and the baby shouldn't wear anything then carry or back him so there will be skin contact at all time.

With family around her to support, she dressed well, enter theatre and out with the baby. How I wish say vb easy like that without labour. Chai, Eve why did you eat that fruit...imoka why...whyyyy?

Captain maureensylvia, it's well with you o. You wan give birth this february sha. No lele. Have you tried the kpekusing, pineapple, walking or even castor oil? With the kpekusing water inside you, the cervix will dilate and labour will start. wish you safe delivery, make our February baby come quick

Hmmm baby things cost o as par the exchange rate. Na person go buy my baby things and didn't have the experience but had to escort a friend to buy hers. It was fun but na money matter. We reach there and come adjust what to buy according to the size of our pocket.

So here's the essential things to buy for now apart from hospital list o.
1}Unisex clothes.
2}Shawls/blankets.
3}Caps, socks, and bibs.
4}Towel and face towels.
5}Baby bath set.
6}Flask, stainless cup with cover and spoon.
7}Diapers / cloth nappies;
8}Toiletries: Lotion, oil, powder, olive oil, soap, sponge powder, methylated spirit / alcohol, cotton wool, wipes, and combs.
9} Feeding bottles and a plastic container with a cover for sterilizing the bottles.
10} The mother: Sanitary pads, panties, toiletries and change of clothes.
11}Baby bag.
12}Car seat.

Additional items will be bought as the baby grows, which depends on the usefulness of the item and one's financial capabilities.

Though scan dated me to Feb 26 at 39weeks 5days now and baby weighing 3.20kg but I want March Baby besides I don't want maureensylvia to make mouth that I'm in her team . Let the baby decides but should relax till next week though I've been having false labour and can't sit but to lie. When I lie down, the pain will stop. The baby head don hook me that it causes pain when I sit

It's another week again. It's 37weeks for me and really a milestone. Thanking God for making me to experience this pregnancy journey. I was really emotional when I went for scan this morning and everything is perfect.

uglyBetty1 I know someone that did cerlage and ended up with her baby. It's just like locking up the cervix so there won't be mc till edd. Even with the pain, you can still endure but if you're not cooperating, you'll be given sleeping injection till it's over so you won't feel any pain. Go for it, it's the best thing to do. Wish you healthy pregnancy with safe delivery.

mitchyy First attend the Antenatal and do necessary test prior Leaving. Except you don't have any complication regarding your health, the well being of your baby and provided there will be a comfortable means of transportation, then you can go. it's not as if you'll fall to labour, just don't stress yourself.
