fitzmayowa: Its only in nigeria, nigerians will be left at the mercy of oil marketers.
This is a valid reason why subsidy should go, if only the protesters of 2012 knew what was ahead, they would have fully supported GEJ on the remover of subsidy... THANK God, at least I v seen few people that are following the development in d country. Many has called GEJ all kinds of name cos of this subsidy. Nigerians r d hardest people to please on earth. The worst part is that people who know absolutely nothing about a particular issue will resort to insult and verbal abuse on the president, he tried to remove fuel subsidy, they cried foul n said it was anti people, he allowed subsidy to continue y trying to checkmate marketers corrupt practices, yet some dumb Nigerians ll still cry foul n call him names. Read news, no way. Instead anything their messiah (Buhari) says is d truth. I just hope that Buhari ll scrap off subsidy as he claims to get confused anytime he hear people talk about subsidy. Only then ll Nigerians know d real worth of a tortoise at Daura market. Smh |

Tlovely: if she is aware of all those negative influencers as you have said, and how much they have aided in bastardizing the so called economy she claimed to be robust but in no form translates in reality, cause i know the benefits of a growing economy should translate efficiently in the life of every single citizenry of any country that possesses it. and should be seen gloriously on ground, like china and the rest of the world..so if she is aware of those negetive influencers, why dont she shut-up if the cannot expose them or talk about the cause of the impediments rather than bugging people with fallacy and bullcrap and trying to defend sh*it....she is getting a lot people annoyed already..so it would be better for her to shut her trap cause the system is saying the entire contrary of what she bugs the peoples ears with.. Ok, but just know that even if Buhari is a magician, the economy " can never "translate efficiently in d life of every Nigerian in just 8 years. It's a gradual process, u made mention of China, how many factories do we have in Nigeria that are employers of labor to help Augument the jobs created by Govt.? It's good to look up to Govt but d reality is that Govt alone can not solve all our needs. |

This Professor always takes the rest of Nigerians for Primitive and illiterate cavemen ...... We might not be Yale, MIT, or Harvard educated.... But We are neither imbecilles nor stark illiterates
Under our Ivy-schooled Finance Minister's watch, Nigeria's debt profile has escalated into heaven, the Value of the Naira sunk into the pit of near-worthlessness, Unemployment galloping higher on the streets, but totally comatose on Okonjo's witchcraft paper, Oil revenue wasted unconscionably, and ridiculously huge sums of Money somehow growing legs and trekking out of Nigeria to God-knows-where
So, we don't need a posh degree in Economics or Financial Astronomy to know that Okonjo the Mojo has outlived her usefulness in Nigeria, and has even become toxic to our national health ..... THE FACTS SPEAK FOR THEMSELVES
TRUTH IS...... IF SHE HAS REALLY DONE HER JOB, SHE WOULDN'T NEED TO STRESS HER FAT CHEEKS TO ORALLY CONVINCE US OF HER ACHIEVEMENTS Most of the blames u v thrown at her should be directed to CBN and state governors not d finance minister. U might not be stark illiterate but u need to get ur fact correctly on d workings of various organs n agencies of the Govt.Let's apportion blames appropriately to whom it's due. Out of 63b debt, fed Govt incurred 21b the rest were incurred by various state Govt.de depletion in excess crude account was caused by governors unholy insistence of sharing the money in ECA against d Iweala's expertise advise not to do so. There are so many influencers in day to day workings of government. Not even Buhari ll achieve much if these negative influencers are against his Govt. In a nutshell, lets support, hope n pray that GMB ll do better for the benefit of all and sundry |

Romance › Re: He Was Angry With His Brother Because Of His Fiancee's Unwashed Plates by scachy(m): 6:31pm On May 25, 2015 |
RedBenson: A neighbourhood brother was seriously angry with his younger bro this morning when he realised that the plates his fiancee ate with when she visited last night was not washed by his younger brother.
The guy may have purposely refused to wash the plates because he believes it's an insult for a lady (be it his senior or junior) to have eaten from a plate and lacked the basic womanly manners to leave it unwashed.
Since the dude who's a student and well over 25yrs realised that a lady, who should be respecting men would rather try to bring him down to that extent and had thus refused to wash the plates.
This issue actually caused an uproar between the two brothers up to the point the elder brother was telling the younger one "finish your school asap and leave my house...nonsense".
Well, the elder brother later went and washed the plates furiously angry without his sibling. The fact that he even supported the lady on such act is what surprised everyone.
The question is, what RIGHT does a lady (be it a wife or fiancee) have to keep the plates she ate with for her brother in-law to come wash for her? Who should rather do that to who? Smh @women of nowadays. No iota of manners in them again. I pity the elder one that saw nothing wrong in what his fiance did cos he ll hear it if they eventually tie d knot. But wait ooo, are u sure that u r not d victim here? |

knightsTempler: 1. Independent Marketers want to be paid N200bn for forex variations.
2. NOI says the variations are preposterous and need to be verified by CBN before any payments can be made.
3. Independent Marketers refused to pay truck drivers. They claim govt owes them. Them dey pay truck drivers in dollars?
4. Truck drivers allegedly go on strike and refuse to load fuel.
5. According to Ifeanyi Ubah chairman of capital oil, a text was sent to all independent marketers by the association NOT to load trucks until their claims were met.
In all this all i can see so many inconsistencies...a truck driver interviewed yesterday pointed to his truck and said, he has been waiting to load since last week...does that even sound like someone who is on strike?
I can only see a bunch of selfish people who are trying to bulldoze the outgoing administration to pay unverifiable invoices...
They are also targeting the incoming government and giving them a sample of what they will do if they don't have their way...
It's a pure mafia 101 move...to win big, negotiate with your enemy when they are completely disadvantaged.
If the strike continue into Buhari's tenure things will be so bad that they will figure he will be forced to pay them instantly as the country would have been grounded to a complete halt.
It would be business as usual...just they way they like it. Good points |

ugojamali: Just yesterday most south easterners were boasting that we would not experience scarcity. Many Noelle names were mentioned. Others bragged that we have hundreds of illegal refineries therefore scarcity would never hit us. Many said we were all so hard working and industries and had the brain to change water into fuel.
Fast forward to this morning. Awka capital of Anambra. I bought fuel two days ago at 140 per litre. Also two days ago half the filling stations in awka had fuel do I can understand why many of us developed that false sense of security. This morning I went out to buy real...
All those stations were closed down. There was just no fuel. It took me a thirty minutes drive round the city to find fuel. I finally found it close to the anambra/Enugu border. The queue was massive.
And the cost? 170 per. Relatively cheaper you'd say... Across the road another station was selling but at 200 per. I got a frantic call from a friend who told me he bought for 250 in some village off Awka. He had to travel all the way to that village to get fuel.
I asked a friend in asaba. He said they now buy for 240 but it's so damn hard to get.
Scarcity is hitting all of us. We in the South East should not brag about immunity. We are all doomed. It's not called fuel scarcity, it's called" hording " all d filling stations in SE has PMS but some are scared of selling cos they were mandated to embark on pure strike action. Get ur facts correct. Am not saying that SE can't run out of PMS but not so soon. We have assorted independent marketers, in other words (anyi nwele eribe agwu agwu) |
