Conclusion, is it against d law to report to police station when someone posses a threat to ur life (whether it's ur parents or siblings)?
Damn it, or is Nigeria police another devil waiting to chastise anyone that came to make a formal report that everyone is against the idea? Or is it better to waits until d Dad does something stupid cos she's trying to allow other family members or kindred to engage into d matter instead of involving d police. It's up to them shaa, what's my own there. I v made my suggestion I don't know how things operate over there presently but over here, once ur life n safety is threatened, d best thing to do is to alert d authority. After all police is our friend.damn d consequences n blames that might come from other family members if involving d police ll guarantee ur safety at the moment.

Ya I know, but am making reference to his recent statement on d newly established universities, (500mn kickoff fund and legality of the new institutions)

Well....first off, how much do you think a university needs as take off funds, and then as yearly annual budget.?

Afe Babalola who owns a private university, reckons universities need N250000 per student enrolled to graduate said student. The ASUU-FG agreement of 2009 put it at N150000.

And that assumes that we have the facilites and everything on ground in the first place.

The trouble is....you need kudi for facilities....Lots of kudi. And right now...N500million may put up a few structures....and that's it. It is what happens next that bothers me.The annual budget.

My Alma mater was established in the 1960's....and construction work continued on most of the facilities till the mid 1980's.

And right now we do not have the money because ''oil prices have fallen''....which leads us to the increased fees scenario....or the scenario where we produce graduates who cannot compete with foreign degree holders because ....of zero facilities, and zero lecturers. (Did i tell you that we do not have ENOUGH lecturers...especially PhD holders?)

We r on d same page but one thing I want to clear is that higher institutions needs upgrade from time to time even if it's well funded n equipped at inception, but it's not what we must do at once, (at least not at this present economic crisis) secondly, it depends on d courses the 4 new institutions offers, cos d only courses that needs adequate n sophisticated facilities are science n engineering courses. And besides, these institutions not offering free education, de can still raise huge sums from students tuition n other levies.another thing is, y didn't ASUU president say this all along, it's now that we about to inaugurate new administration that he has started talking trash about legality n funding of the new institutions.

This is what we see in a country that rewards people that contributes nothing for the betterment of the country, P square n Co. Was in USA n other countries on d election day, he was quoted of saying that election won't put food on his table .yet d federal government has invited n paid him God knows how much in hard currency to perform at d presidential inauguration. D same thing in our sport zone, players that has no interest in d country are invited to disgrace d country with poor outings.Smh.

Contrary to popular opinion, the last ASUU strike was about funding....and the 2009 agreement provided N3trillion for facililties....which was reduced in 2013 to 1 trillion over 5 years. To be shared by 50-70 universities. Now is that enough?

At the end of the day...fees will go up....and you will be annoyed.

500mn was given as kickoff fund, there're other mean d school can generate funds internally to Augument wat fed.Govt.gave. D problem is that every sectors in Nigeria wants to be well taking care of at d same time without consideration that there are other sectors that needs to be taking care of as well. If ASUU leaders r using the funds provided by Govt judiciously it ll go a long way in terms of facilities. but wat we see in our public sector is pathetic, d leaders ll take care of their pockets first before d institutions at d end, de ll start making noise of being underfunded. Am not saying that d federal government has funded them adequately, but d question is, d money ASUU received from various Govts, how well did they utilize it? and d facilities provide, how well did they manage n maintain them?

I don't blame PDP or anybody that made comments based on d first picture circulated all over d Internet. I blame the media and their mischievous dirty tricks

I'm typing this from my mobile phone and I am in a hurry as I have a bucket of water I need to go get, I'm hoping to get a reasonable objective advice soon.

Due to whatever reason, we had not had power supply for over a week now and our water tank has run out of water, fuel is also too expensive in my area to use the generator as I will have to turn off everything to make sure only the borehole gets electricity.

With no option at hand I had to take jerrycan and buckets to the next building where water is being sold, on getting there I found this 16-17yrs old girl as the attendant, I noticed she kept looking at me awkwardly, after filling my buckets she refused taking money from me, I insisted as I would need to fetch a lot of water. Unknown to me she has been subsidizing the amount I spend, meaning if I had fetched N100 worth she only takes N50.

Now each time I go there, she keeps looking directly into my eyes, smiling unnecessarily, and it is making me feel uncomfortable.

I don't know if I should be angry or feel sorry for her, I can't possibly go inside and report her to her parents, I have been looking for a way to caution her but each time I go to get water there are also other people there and I don't want to be unreasonably rude.

For what ever it ll look like, advise her as if she's ur younger sister and let her know that she's too young for that n u r not interested in her.
