Good People,

I just had a terrible experience with a notary public. I wanted to notarize my gift deed and another document, na so the guy dey ask me questions oo. Who sent the money to you? What do you want to use it for? "You need to come here with the person that gifted you the money, then we can talk about the price."

I just left the crook's office at that point.

Please, I would appreciate it if anyone would recommend a notary public (on the Island or in Ibadan) you have used for gift deed. I am too busy to be explaining stuff.

Thanks as usual, people.

When did you do this evaluation? Last year?

Currently ICES takes 14 weeks normal processing which starts counting from when they recieve it, not when you apply and for applicants from Africa, it might take longer. https://www.bcit.ca/ices/processingtime.shtml

WES is still the fastest 35 days after receipt and verification https://www.wes.org/ca/evaluations-and-fees/eca/

ICES is more favorable without SSCE but the wait is longer than WES
Yeah. I did it last year October or there about.

If he can grease the palms of those women at the Record Office, it might take him just a week to transmit his records to ICES and commence the 14 weeks wait. Same WES took my wife more than 12 weeks with their back and forth.

@Scandinavian02 ... Pls do you have any idea about how ICES evaluates HND/ND? Do they evaluate as 2 or more certificates?
I really don't know if ICES also evaluates OND and HND as two or more certificates but I know there is an evaluating body here that does it.

Seniors please assist with the body tha evaluates HND & OND as two or more certs.

Thanks

Pls you mean ICES is this good, please I need your help. You can't imagine what happened to me. I sent my application since December 2018, till now I have not got my verification from IQAS, I have been calling and sending mails to them and they keep telling me that they are still handling December Application that I should be patient. I got to know from one Canadian discussion forum that those whose submitted January have started receiving AOR and I called to ask them, guess what they told me? They said my transcript got to them but it was not in a sealed envelope so they rejected it. Can you imagine after waiting for six months and they told me this story without even informing me, gossh! If I send another transcript to IQAS now, that should be another six months which will be December. My CRS is over 470, its only this ECA that is holding me.

I was trying to use CES (Toronto) but changed my mind after seeing your post because when I went through ICES site they were saying something else. Pls can you explain more because their site is saying WAEC is needed and payment is strictly by credit card and its about 14weeks or so. Can I pay with GT Master card?

Pls help me I want to cancel my application in IQAS, as I need to entered the pool ASAP.
Thank you so much in anticipation bro.
ICES does not require WAEC.

For payment, you can try with GT Mastercard. For me, someone in Canada assisted with the payment. Can anyone confirm.if GT Mastercard can be used for ICES payment.
Just try and tip those women in record office, dem go do am sharp sharp. Just email

Good Day house, please i need your counsel, i just applied for ECA evaluation and i'm asked to send a copy of my masters certificate but presently i don't have that because i recently completed my masters program in unilag, is there something i can substitute for this wes requirement, and if you finished from unilag please how did you go about requesting for your transcript with the wes request form?
Why are you using WES to evaluate your Unilag M.Sc? I used ICES and the whole process was softcopy. No request for SSCE and completed the whole process in 9weeks.

Thanks for this! But, lol...I also want to be at the other side of the divide and give people in the pool hope too jare grin I remember when you were also in the dilemma of waiting for ITA and had to go the CBT route to increase your scores. You did, made the next draw and got ITA. We didn't, as we were still on 450 then (since feb actually). Same day of that draw and summoning strength from your bold step, I encouraged the Boo to write IELTS CBT (booked same day the 450 draw and nov 2018 tie breaking rule came out, wrote, waited for results and updated our profile 14th May) and we moved to 460...we were so certain of ITA the next day; 15th May and then FST draw happened from nowhere cry. Then the 4 week hiatus and boom! 470 now. When will it reach 460 again? Or back to the days of 438 and co? We were just shattered and had a heart to heart yesterday (when we both were done sulking on last wednesday's draw) we have decided to take our minds off and not be too expectant. There's really nothing we can do at this point than to WAIT and keep living our lives. No pressure on when we are planning to leave Naija. No deadlines...just LIVING till God's time for us. It will end in praise jare.
Smiled at your intro . . .460 is a very decent score and you'd definitely get ITA in the next two draws.Don't despair as ITA will come sooner than you think. Trust me, I know how you feel cos I equally felt I wasted a lot of time in the pool since February 17th with my 448 before doing the needful. Commence gathering your documents and medicals please. It would surely end in praise.

As a member of this group, I can state some facts which may heal some people’s anxiety. Stop stressing about 470 score. Even applicants with 460 crs are panicking. Consider these points before having anxiety.
1. FSW draw happened after one month and three IELTS test results released within one month and you don’t know how many haves scored CLB 9 and updated periodically.
2. The government of Canada has a budget to hit annually and they know better than us when to lower down the CRS. If draw will stay at 470 or 460 and if they will invite 3000 instead of 3690, then budget not hit which results in loss of revenue.
3. From the last 3 years, IRCC is not hitting their budgets because with more ITA, rejection rate increases and currently, the rejection rate is 12-14%
4.Canadian economy stands on 1.65 Trillion dollars GDP and IRCC alone contributes 31 billion $ into GDP. I don’t know when immigration will stop or lower down but not this time because if they will pull out all immigration budget that will cause in losing at least 1,00,000 jobs in a year and Canada cannot afford it.
5. Garnish your mind by reading government plans or good immigration articles instead of exploring conflicting information.
6. Please do not stress about elections. No one knows what will happen. If conservatives will come, it will be good like Liberals. DO NOT FORGET Conservatives introduced express entry in 2015, not liberals which ease the whole immigration game.

oluwabishop:

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) invited you to apply for permanent resident status
based on the qualifications you claimed in your Express Entry profile. In your Express Entry profile you
indicated you had a relative in Canada who was a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident but have filed
to provide sufficient proof of the relationship.
This change in your qualifications resulted in a loss of points that brought your rank below the lowest
ranking person who was invited to apply in your round of invitation, under the Express Entry
Comprehensive Ranking System.
As I have found that you no longer possess the qualification on the basis of which you were ranked under
an instruction given under paragraph 10.3(1)(h), you no longer meet the requirements of Section 11.2 of
Act.
Following an examination of your application, I am not satisfied that you meet the requirements of the
Act and Regulations for the reasons explained above. I am therefore refusing your application.
I believe your case would be re-opened. However, can we know the exact error on the Birth Certificate? Is it an error relating to name, place of birth, parentage etc?

This would give us insights to advice appropriately and others can also learn.

Thanks.

#ExpressEntryPool #speculation #pensiveSunday

While sifting through another set of dataset and trend analytics for EE and CRS scores, another worrying historical trend came up.

The last time we had a nearly 4week gap between 2 general draws was in the month of June 2017.

31st May saw the historical lowest CRS ever @413 and 3877 ITAs issued.
The following draw was on the 28th June @449 and 3409 ITAs issued.

The pool strength those days fluctuated between 42,000-44,000 candidates.

On 10th May 2019, the pool strength was in excess of 104,000 candidates, with more than 5000 candidates in the pool between 441-450 CRS range.
The data trends suggest that on an average more than 240-260 people with scores over 440 CRS are entering the pool each day. That number would be variant for scores lower than 440,but still large enough to add to the pool strength.
This would mean that the pool strength today would be in the range of 106,000-108,000 and range of 441-450 and 450 above would be collectively more than 9000 and counting.
Yes, the pool is dynamic and just like there are additions a lot of profiles expire and many become ineligible due to expiry dates of the profile, birthdays, ECA, language scores etc. But the point is that the pool is seeing colossal growth each week.

Last time there was a gap of nearly 4 weeks, the scores shot up to an unexpected high of 449 and then they never dropped below 433...

We expect a EE general draw next week and this time we expect a very high score to be drawn.
Even if they start issuing higher number of ITAs, it would be a small dent in the score.

The only difference that can bring scores down would be repeated back to back draws and continued number of large ITAs issued per draw.

Honestly, for the first time since I have been watching these trends, I am worried.
I am privy to a lot of chatter due to my extended network. I meet a lot of experts in the industry, I attend a lot of seminars and trainings, I hear a lot of things, opinions, speculations and views. Some are worrying, some are downright ridiculous and other just cast a grim picture overall.

And then there is this obvious overcast of upcoming Elections and how those will influence immigration programs.

While I don't endorse the opinions that the elections will have negative impact on Canadian Immigration. I am sure the new government will have its influence on the way things are done. All the 3 main parties are in favour of immigration, but do have different ideologies in how and what is priority and how it is applied.

So my take::

In the short term
The scores will see very worrying high trends.
People below 445-448 should start looking at alternative options, whether PNP or ways to improve their CRS. (look at CLB10 if needed or accept that Alberta NOI if you have received it)

I say 448, with a pinch of salt. While we can say with some understanding that 450s will most definitely be seen again. It's the breach of 450 mark that is eagerly awaited.

In the long term:
I expect to see changes to the programs with certain NOCs getting priority or even nationality quotas coming into play. I see
Canadian work experience and Canadian education being allotted more weight of points or even priority in terms of the draws conducted.
Mind you this is mere speculation as of now, but there is ample reason that fuels this speculation.

Synopsis:

If you are waiting on the sidelines, well you may already be very late. Jump in the pool if you haven't already.

Others, please be more aggressive in your pursuing PNP programs and options. Different provinces including OINP will be looking to add new programs shortly. Some may be targeted towards your NOC and others towards the support from local Canadian communities and employers.

To end this post, all I can say is that if Canadian PR is your objective, then make it your absolute priority in the near future and get cracking.

Set to groom another set of untrained soldiers to be slaughtered by BH rag tag fighters.

We buy cache of weapons that ends up in the hands of deadly insurgents. Expensive military hardwares like Tanks, RPGs, gunboats, Rifles etc.. I hope these idiots BH wont end up seizing a fighter jet and flying it? The consequences can be better imagined.!

People that keep running away from battlefields cos of ill training and unpreparedness.
I doubt anybody in his right mind, after watching yesterday's ISWAP videos, would want to join the Nigerian military voluntarily. I pray

They kill our Soldiers in the most bizzarre manner while we "deradicalize" and integrate their fighters back into our communities. To what end??

There was indeed, a nation!

Why are our troops always fleeing and abandoning expensive military equipment in the hands of insurgents?

So we buy guns, tanks and others equipment and insurgents just seize them from our men?

They kill our soldiers and we "deradicalize" and release their fighters?

Na wa ooo

Sizzorkay:
Can you tell us why the killings were recorded and distributed? If not for propaganda purposes?
No one is denying the fact that losing soldiers is a sad event for true Nigerians, but we can not also deny the intent on recording and releasing such videos . I do get your point though, personally i can't get myself to watch such, seeing a Nigerian soldier getting killed or dead during battle, that's soul crushing for me, so i pass on that.
So, how do we juxtapose this video and the refrain of ''we have defeated BH" from the government of the day?

A lot of Nigerians including myself have been believing all the numerous press releases by the DefenceHQ that BH is only left with just poweless splinter groups.

While the release of these videos is downright propaganda, we cannot just dismiss them as untrue.

We have a lot to do as we are in a full blown war situation.
