Olami2903: This was so heartwarming to read. Well done! So glad you're both finally finally free and able to be your full authentic selves. I wish you both the very best. ❤️ We have all read that story so needless reproducing it here. All you needed to do is quote a bit of it than quoting everything. Nobody wants to scroll up and down without getting any tangible information. |

Olami2903: Good morning guys, the date of birth on my transcript is different from my date of birth on my passport and other documents. The year of birth is different by a year. The transcript carries 1988 instead of 1989. I'm currently doing ECA with IQAS. Has anyone had this issue before? Will it be flagged and how do i change it. I went to UNILAG. Thanks. I don't think UNILAG includes DOB in the transcript. Anyway, I am not very sure of this. However, if there is anyone with concrete information about this should let us know. Thank you. |

I am new to this and I have read the whole damn thread phewww♀️ I have a question. I want to go with my husband. I am the principal applicant and I understand that he must also take the IELTS exam. But, must he do ECA? Also, does he need to open an EE profile?
Thank you for your response Yemblaze has already done justice to your question. Also note that 40 points only are allotted to your spouse in the following way: Education: 10 IELTS : 20 Canadian work experience :10 So he/she can realistically contribute 30points. |

Pasca07: please I need a good suggestion on the extra qualifications to boost my score due to my low grade 3rd class in computer science and electronics thank you Are you looking for extra certification because of your 3rd class or to earn more CRS points? Truth is, nobody cares about your class of degree as per Express Entry. So, if you are looking for more CRS points then Unilag HRDC, BCS, CIMA or any other professional qualification that issues transcript would do. |

corrall: Good morning my people. I commend you all for all you are doing here.
i have know about this canada waka for a while now, but i have been trying to make enquiries and research. this questions i am about to ask, its because i have not seen the response any where else. please help;
1. i have an Msc from a school in the UK and a BSc from unical, when evaluating, shd i evaluate just the MSc or the two and i hear WES will need the SSCE scratch card which in my case is NECO.
2. Based on 1 above, if i am to do both, please, when i was applying for my MSC years back i was able to get my transcript from unical and i sent it to the UK school myself. do i have to go to my school again to apply for another one? please if i do, is there someone that did theirs from Unical that can advise.
thank you. Please, anything that would take you to Unical for any evaluation, abeg avoid it. My wife has a B.A from that school and it is the reason we delayed in submitting our application. First, file could not be found and when it was eventually found, UNICAL internet service provider has cut off service for unpaid invoices. Next thing was FeDEX has refused delivering their mails cos of unpaid invoices. Another was NASU was on strike and nothing could be done. If I tell you how frustrated we were during all these back and forth ehhh . . . WES that takes 9weeks eventually took us 5months in that hell called Unical. I also have a first degree from that school though I evaluated only my Unilag M.Sc through ICES which was straight forward and took about 11 weeks. All I did was pay and go to bed. There was a certain time I requested for my transcript and I also heard my file could not be found; that was when the Registry was close to Small Gate. I had to bring my SSCE result and open a new file then go look for my result from my Department which was put together for me to get a transcript. Then, when I thought I have seen it all was when I requested for my degree certificate and I received one with an erroneous THIRD CLASS DEGREE with my name on it. What incompetence! I matched straight to the Registrar who apologised and told me to go back to Lagos and It would be corrected and sent to me. This was done after 2 months. My brother, if I want to talk about that school, I won’t be done today. |

Scbhoviv: Good morning guys. So I had an ADR to submit and at the time I could not find any place holder on my account so I submitted via the webform, just for me to wake up this morning , checked my account and saw the placeholder with an overdue on it. So my question is what do I do. I'm trying to see if I said just go ahead and submit like that again or is the webform enough. I'm confused So sorry about this. Maybe you should use the placeholder again and include an explanation that you already used a web form earlier. Someone explained that you have to refresh your page severally to see the placeholder. |

Jemidun: Myself and my sibling both have our birth certificates.
However, because we were both born before 1992, I understand (based on my research) that we need to do an attestation of birth with NPC before we can claim sibling points.
Please is this true?
If it is true, what documents do I need for the attestation for both my sibling and I? Do I need an age declaration affidavit too? My sibling and I had same issue. What I did first was to provide the birth certificate issued by our state government and then included the attestation from NPC. |

It is not mandatory to notarise a gift deed. At least, CIC never mentioned a notarised gift deed. However, you can go ahead if you have the resources to. |

autolearner: Many thanks to everyone that has contributed to this priceless knowledge bank here. Today, the 8th, my fiancee and I, are officially starting the Express Entry Program, and we are hopeful that the process will be a seamless one.
A bit of a background story, having read through the introductory posts on Page 1, we tried our hands at the pre-application evaluation and our CRS scores combined hovers between 491 and 497 (difference being, we tried to lower our expectations on IELTS scores). This gave us the confidence to start off this process.
So, earlier in the week, we collected B's Master's Degree certificate from UNILAG, in preparation for the Transcript phase. However, due to some not-so-seemingly clear responses I've recently read on here, there are a few questions regarding the next steps, we'd appreciate clarity on.
1. Which ECA service would serve us as efficiently possible - ICES or WES Unilag Masters(Finance) & BSC LAUTECH(Clinical Sciences)
2. Should we consider doing an ECA for our WAEC Certificates as well?
Many thanks and all the best to the awaiting ITA hopefuls. 491 or 497? Maybe you should do a reconfirmation of the above simulated scores. I used ICES to evaluate my M.Sc Finance from Unilag and it was hitch-free. If you are evaluating M.Sc with ICES, you do not require WAEC. |

Why do you think a friend cannot gift him the funds?Do you know his friend's financial position?
Why are you asking him to misrepresent facts by stating that his family gifted him when it is apparently false?
There's nowhere it was stated that monetary gift MUST come from family ALONE.
Also, some friends are more valuable and supportive than family. Some friends can even be classified as family even if we don't share bloodline. |

WiseYoungMan: Hello guys,
Please I registered for IELTS on Thursday last week, I made payment at Zenith Bank via bank transfer option. The officials said I could make payment through my mobile app, which I did.
Now the issue is that I just got an email saying my booking has been cancelled because they haven't received my payment.
Please has anyone experienced this? how can I go about reversal? And what's the best way to make payment going forward? Don't try to reverse nothing. Did the transfer go through? If it did, you were supposed to put a call across to them to confirm receipt of your payment. It happened to me and those BC guys cancelled my test because they claimed my payment had not been successful. All efforts aimed at reinstating my test date was abortive so they offered to include me in the next test date after confirming my payment. They would eventually slate you for the next one. However, these guys are just professionals during the organization of the test yet offers nothing in Customer Service. I was really appalled at their poor CS which is a sharp contrast of the customer centric organization I work for. They would promise to call you back to no avail. You get to spend an average of 15 minutes on hold trying to speak with them, once it is 2.59pm, no one takes the call. Try to call in the morning and send emails too. Best of luck. |

jjohndoe83: I have a rookie question about TBills.
One, I have TB with Investment One for 1m. Just to be clear, using it for POF shouldn't be a problem right? I ask because Investment One is not a bank although I believe an online search will confirm that they offer such services.
Two, there are two different figures on the face of what I believe is my TB certificate. The discounted value and face value. I believe I can claim the face value as POF and the discounted value shouldn't raise eye brows abi? As long as that institution provides financial services. My POF is in an Asset Management Firm. Of course VOs know the dynamics of TBills and would understand that interest is earned upfront and at maturity you get the #1m FV. It is no big deal bro. |

I can confirm that ICES evaluates OND as Two-year diploma and HND as Four-year Advanced diploma. Just received mine, but its a whole LONG wait, approximately 19 weeks after all documents were received by ICES. Although the evaluation was completed in 17 weeks; it took two weeks to get to me. Big congratulations. May the rest of the journey be smooth. |
