MY SINCERE ADVICE

My humble advice MrsSchols is to consider not going into business with 5 million naira if you haven't done business before.

If you must do a business with NGN5 million, make sure you have up to NGN8 million in your reserve. Business is never as easy as you suppose. I am only trying to make you understand that it is necessary that you shield yourself from over-expectation and rush.

Mind you whatever busines you ae doing, you need to:

1. Spend quality time to Learn the trade
2. Initially invest about one-tenth of your intended capital
3. Reach out as much as possible

I have a friend who has the propensity to do well in the photography business but has little capital and is afraid the business may not be too profitable for him. I have being discussing with him, but I feel a good advice from you might do the magic.

I must confess this is the most decisive post I have come across in this tread.

Starting a business while more promising than a normal 9 - 5 job can be more frustrating than working for a downsizing company!

Before I came this far, I learnt businesses but never made a reasonable penny till after 3 YEARS! It took me that long to PRACTICALLY "Crack The Code".

So, you need to have a preset mindset and FOCUSED determination to succeed.

I don't think its a scam site but I think it is a budding business. I am about trying something out with them

So, what happens when you can no longer pay the loan?

Making the millionaire status in Nigeria before 25 will largely depend on the mindset of parents and guardians. Parents should encourage their kids to learn a trade and teach children basic accounting at home. Parents should also open their eyes to quickly detect the talent their kids display at youthful age and invest in the development of the talent. Talent and not education is what bring us both fame and wealth.

The Photography business is very profitable. I say this not because I know of friends that have married wives, bought cars and are building houses now because of photography. I say this because you have a major ingredient for success as is rightly pointed out by brainchild78.
Since you have the passion, follow these steps and convert your passion into a real business empire:

1. Get a professional camera (NOT A POINT AND SHOOT CAMERA!)
2. Print a complimentary card and give it out to people.
3. Start by snapping few shots with your camera (Hey! Study your camera Manual to learn operational skills and get good photography books. I have a couple I can send to you but let me see your interest).
4. Start snapping at any function in town. You can hire printers or have to grow your business to buy one.
5. Snap at church services, Marriages etc. The more people see you doing this the more they begin to trust your work and the more money you begin to make.
6. Be good at accounting because your business.

Businesstools: Also try to generate a small income stream for your business before seeking funding.If you can prove your business model on a small scale,you will stand a better chance of securing funding.

I agree with you. Most young entreprenuers think they need money before going into business. Money is one of the lest things you need in business.

The wrong notion that you need money to start a business is what has led many Nigerians into bad reputation.

Definitely, if can not start a business with the little you have, you cannot start with the millions you will be loaned! In fact you will go "BROKER" than before. Don't let your mind fool you that you can manage millions of naira! And if you fail, your new home will be JAIL!!

Nigerians do ot hate Multilevel marketing or referral marketing. If you take a good look at what Nigerians do online, you will realise that over 95% of nigerians are into referral marketing in the form of affiliate marketing.

I think people are more aware of the selfish nature MLM program designers. The bottomline line of everything they think of favours them. The participants have little or nothing to show for it.

It is quite easy to do this yourself as said by mkmyers45. All you need to do is to learn how to design a website or blog with blogger or wordpress. Once you have built your site, you can sign up with google and get the codes from your account. I have found one other ads placement company I fancy: addynamo.com.
You will then have to paste the codes on your site... I think this sounds too techie.

I have heard of the money making opportunity in waste recycling but my knowledge on it is rather vague. Can you tell us more on how it looks like and how profitable it is. Start ups and all necessary information.
