May I add that, but for the fact that we are in need of quality midfielders, our forwards could have been Oshoala, Onumonu and Ajibade. None of the other forwards come close. Ordega, who has seriously regressed, Kanu has not been able to bench, is it Ajibade she could have benched? Additionally, Ajibade is faster than all the other forwards, excluding only Oshoala, she's also very clinical- better than Oshoala.

You think Kanu can compete and out perform such Athletio Madrid players as Ludmilla, Kgatlana, Castellanos, etc? Can she even survive on that team?... Now, I seem to be hating on her, but I'm not!

Ordega, at this stage, should not be starting matches for us, but do you know why she does? THERE'S NO ONE BETTER!

Anyway I'm happy with the level of play in Spain right now, most of the Clubs are improving getting support from their male side. The Club that Shocked me this season was Villarreal, I thought they were going to be relegated until towards the end of the season things turned around... The Swedish League 5th in Europe isn't that bad as it appears to you, Yes the standard has fallen due to the fact that most of the players are going abroad because of higher pay. Most of the players are after the money unlike before where they used to play and do other side jobs.

You're right here, Esther Okoronkwo is also a great joggler, her technique and ball handling is great too.

You know how poor the Nigeria System of breeding players is so in this aspect Ajibade is very good as for Esther growing up in the US playing soccer from High school and College is also an edge.. The grooming there supersede ours here!

Tottenham’s Chioma Ubogagu gets nine-month ban over banned substance

The Tottenham and England forward Chioma Ubogagu has apologised after she was suspended from football for nine months for taking a banned substance.

Ubogagu, 29, was found to have consumed Canrenone, a prohibited substance often used as a masking agent, as part of an anti-acne treatment. A Football Association hearing found that Ubogagu had used the substance innocently but should have checked with authorities that it was appropriate for use.

Her suspension was announced after the end of a disciplinary process but has been in place since the beginning of the year and will run until October, after the start of the Women’s Super League season. “I am so sorry to my teammates and staff that I can’t be out on the pitch,” Ubogagu said. “The club has been fully supportive throughout this entire process, and I am so appreciative of all their help. My faith, family and close friends have helped me immensely in this difficult time. I am eager to be back soon now that this has been resolved.

“I want to make clear that the medication had no performance-enhancing effects for me, but I still made the mistake of not being as diligent as possible, and as a result I am unable to play the game I love until I serve my suspension. While my dermatologist is aware of my profession, it is also my responsibility to know more about the medications I am prescribed.”

Ubogagu, who was born in London but moved to Texas as a child and was educated in the US, joined Spurs from Real Madrid last summer and has three England caps, the most recent of which came in March 2019. On 7 October 2021 she gave a urine sample that was found to test positive for Canrenone. A disciplinary process was undertaken which ended on 22 April.
A FA regulatory commission investigating the case found that Ubogagu had experienced nodulocystic acne for most of her life and had been prescribed a new drug by her dermatologist in Texas. Although the commission ruled that the player should have done more to establish it was safe to take the medicine, it also found she had acted without “significant” fault or negligence. She had also cooperated fully with authorities and the commission’s judgment reduced Ubogagu’s punishment from a standard two-year ban.

Rwanda’s Salima Mukansanga Part Of History As FIFA Names Women To Referee At World Cup For First Time.



Rwanda’s Salima Mukansanga is one of the female match officials appointed as FIFA on Thursday announced women referees will officiate at a men’s World Cup finals for the first time ever at teh Qatar World Cup.

Mukansanga has already made history when in January she became the first ever woman to officiate at the men’s Africa Cup of Nations.

She is one of three female referees appointed by FIFA for Qatar and will also include France’s Stephanie Frappart and Japan’s Yoshimi Yamashita, among the 36 match referees.

Brazil’s Neuza Back, Mexico’s Karen Diaz Medina and American Kathryn Nesbitt have been included in the 69 assistant referees.

“We are very happy that … we have been able to call up female match officials for the first time in the history of a FIFA World Cup,” said FIFA Referees Committee chairman Pierluigi Collina.

“This concludes a long process that began several years ago with the deployment of female referees at FIFA men’s junior and senior tournaments.

Salima Mukansanga (33yrs) is an international football referee from Rwanda. She was an official at the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup in France. In 2022, Mukansanga became the first woman to referee at the African Cup of Nations, leading out an all-woman officiating team of Fatiha Jermoumi (Morocco), Carine Atemzabong (Cameroon), and Bouchra Karboubi (Morocco) as the VAR. She has officiated at the Olympics, FIFA Women’s World Cup, Africa Women Cup of Nations and CAF Women’s Champions League.

Ajibade is good as a midfielder but u can't compare her to Kanu if u are talking forward positions and yes Kanu scoring an other worldly amount of goals in America gave her popularity just like her recent performance against Canada should do the same.

Thank you, Ajibade performs better as a Midfielder than as a forward. If I were to be her, I will stick to the Midfield position as a Central or Attacking Midfielder she does well there... She isn't bad as a forward either but as a Midfielder she looks exceptional..

Kanu has been a better forward than Ajibade right from U17 till date!!

I think the Polish League is better than the Belarusian and Israeli Leagues.

The Polish Women League is far ahead of the two you mentioned right now, the Belarusian league is currently on the down side unlike two years back. Most of the top players are going abroad (Russia especially), currently the league is mainly made up of of U17 and U20.. But Minsk FC and Dinamo Minsk remain the strongest club there..

I'm still clamouring for Regina Otu to move away from Belarus.

The management of Edo Queens have enjoyed top class government funding and sponsorship and have no excuse not to recruit the best players in the country but the selfish and manipulative interest of Mrs Sabina Chikere and sacked coach Wemimo Mathew have chased many young talented players out of the club, a potent reason that has caused their recent decline in performance and one of the strong reasons why Flourish Chioma Sebastine decided not to play for them.

Contractually, there is no binding agreement between the player and Edo Queens and sadly, Edo Queens have blocked or delayed Bayelsa Queens' process to allow the world-class player in the making to make her appearance in the Super Six( with Bayelsa Queens) that would lead to the selection of clubs to represent the country on the continent in the women club continental competition

Significantly, this act of manipulation and selfish interest is hampering the growth of women's football on traits of transparency in the system and if this is not checked most young female players would be led into silent caves of football slavery

The Nigerian Women's Football League's governing body under the guidance of Aisha Falode should call Edo Queens' management to order or this act would be considered a conspiracy between the two bodies.

They all knows the truth, right now Sabastine is a big Market in the Nigeria women football as a whole, they're all after the benefits she would bring not after the girl success.!

If Wemimo was to be the U20 head Coach, I bet you she wouldn't have been playing Sabastine untill she agrees terms with her..

The Battle on ground now is between 1st Assistant Coach (Aduku) and the 2nd Assistant Coach (Wemimo)of the Falconet!.

Look here she has been in the Various National Team set up over 12 years ago. Even if the Coaching get sacked, they will move Wemimo to the next one.. She has been rotated in the whole National Teams till date..

While good ones like Florence Omagbemi, Mercy Akide, Ayisat and Co won't be given such opportunity..!

Away from the list, isn't it concerning that Flourish who is arguably one of the best u20 player we have isn't allowed to feature in the Super6 because of a tussel amongst clubsides? It's even a lot more perplexing when you consider she doesn't have a signed contract with Edo queen's and the league organizers seem to have taken a passive disposition to the entire thing. How is this in her best interest?

Let me just go straight to the point here, thee Person behind this problem is Coach Wemimo, Olanrewaju Mathew. She tends to influence so many things in the various National Team she act as Assistant in..

She just got Sacked by Edo Queens Management Yesterday here for not wining any game in the on going Super 6 tournament..

It's a Sad one that they're trying to ruin the girl's career because of their own personal benefits...

Yeah, to me the Pool of 28 players sef in even too much for the AWCON, 23 should have been better and more competitive!!
