Because of the hardship brought upon by this salary non payment, Pensioners die sheepishly as a result of their inability to afford quality health care or procure their medications, workers die silently from depression, business activities in the state has been stagnant and there seems to be no succour in view. Well meaning Nigerians and stakeholders should please prevail on the governor to have a rethink, have mercy and look for means to pay all the outstanding salary arrears of the workers |

Some female neonates/infants display adult female characteristics after birth as a result of exposure to high level of estrogen from the mother through the placenta while in utero. Examples are bloody vaginal discharge (pseudomenstruation), breast growth, nipples discharge, and labia swelling. All these would eventually regress in the first few months after birth cos the estrogen exposure has been withdrawn. |

THE PERSON OR ORGANIZATION THAT GAVE OUT THIS AWARD HAD BETTER NOT RECEIVE A GENERATIONAL CURSE! A GOVERNMENT THAT'S OWING ITS CITIZEN NUMEROUS AMOUNT OF SALARIES, PAYS HALF SALARY, BUILD FEW AND OVER-HYPED INFRASTRUCTURES AT THE DETRIMENTS OF THE PEOPLE WELL-BEING, DOESN'T DESERVE AN AWARD. THE GOVERNMENT HOSPITALS HAVE BEEN ON STRIKE FOR MONTHS NOW, LEAVING PEOPLE TO DIE SHEEPISHLY WITHOUT ANY CRY FOR JUSTICE. |
IN ONDO STATE( GOVERNED BY ROTIMI AKEREDOLU), WORKERS ARE BEING OWED 5 MONTHS SALARY ARREARS. DESPITE THE CONSISTENT MONTHLY ALLOCATION ENTERING THE COFFERS OF THE STATE GOVERNMENT, CIVIL SERVANTS ARE LANGUISHING IN ABJECT POVERTY. THE WORKERS ARE ALREADY BEING OWED LUMPSOME AMOUNT OF MONEY AND WHENEVER THE SALARY WILL BE PAID, IT COMES IN PERCENTAGES OR FRACTIONS ( 50% or 40% of the monthly pay). IT'S AN UNFORTUNATE SITUATION IN THE STATE |
fareed69:Who knows if he's posing with someone else's uniform. Which higher institution did he attend, which set, where's the NYSC certificate? Some gullible Nigerians arse-licking their so called celebs. |
It's almost 2 weeks now that health care services in Ondo State Government Hospitals have become inaccessible due to the strike action by the medical doctors. Solution has been elusive as no concrete plan is on ground by the Government for the industrial action to be called off. Patients are dying on a daily basis and medical tourisms out of the state to the nearest health care providers( F.M.C. Owo, OAUTHC Ile Ife) have been stressful and burdensome. Is this the dividends of democracy the people have bargained for? Why would the people be suffering this much at the expense of those elected into positions? How would a Governor in an oil producing state owe health workers and other civil servants 4 months salary arrears and still have the gut to resort to payment of half salaries. This is an height of selfishness, callousness in the midst rising costs; fuel, food stuffs, rents, school fees among others. Ondo state needs a Messiah, the land is suffering. |
NewDelhi:You just spoke my mind. |

Duru9:It's really a pandemic in the state at present, a sorry situation. |
Under the aegis of Ondo State Doctors' Forum comprising Association of Resident Doctors University of Medical Sciences Teaching Hospital (ARD UNIMEDTH), Medical and Dental Consultants Association of Nigeria( MDCAN), National Association of Government General Medical and Dental Practitioner ( NAGGMDP), medical doctors in ondo state have begun an indefinite strike to press home their demands. This was made known to the public by Dr Omolayo Olubosede ( the spokesperson of the Government Doctors) while addressing a news conference at Akure The Ondo State Capital yesterday. The Doctors had rejected unanimously the payment of half salaries for the month of November 2020 by the State Governor Arakunrin Rotimi Akeredolu and demanded payment of their outstanding arrears of 4 months salaries. A letter sent to the Acting Commissioner of Health, Honourable (Dr ) Ajibayo Adeyemi to pre-inform the Governor of recent developments and aggitations had yielded no positive result. Ondo State has recorded about 2000 covid-19 positive cases, 39 deaths and ranks among the highest top 10 in the country so far. The doctors who are at the forefront at combating this pandemic however regret and plead with the populace to bear with them as numerous of their members have contacted the virus, infected and even lost some of their family members and loved ones at home. The Government has nonetheless been incentive to the plights of the doctors citing poor welfare and working conditions, unavailability of adequate personal protective equipment and now collecting alerts of half salaries of November 2020 when already in February 2021, despite still being owed 4months salary arrears. |
SadiqBabaSani:Very very true |

Deuteronomy 24:14-15 “You shall not oppress a hired servant who is poor and needy, whether he is one of your countrymen or one of your aliens who is in your land in your towns. You shall give him his wages on his day before the sun sets, for he is poor and sets his heart on it; so that he will not cry against you to the Lord and it become sin in you. |
It's disheartening |
It was a gloomy situation for the civil servants in ondo state as Governor Rotimi Akeredolu pays them 50% of their November salaries over the weekend. The workers who were being owed about three to four months salary arrears hitherto, were expecting at least 2 months out of these debts to be paid at the end of this January. However, alerts trooping in could only confirm that only half of the arrears for November alone was being paid admidst stark economic realities on ground; increased fuel and virtually all other commodities prices, outstanding bills for rents and children school fees, medicals and various loans needing to be serviced. Respite seems not to be anywhere near the corner as the Governor has not in any way promised as to when the balances and remaining arrears would be cleared, neither is the body language reassuring. Present times have not been the best for people in the state. Artisans, business and market women, commercial motor vehicles and okada riders have all been lamenting a sharp fall in sales and patronages as a result of the impoverishment of the State where majorities of the residents are civil servants. It's pathetic. But one would be left to ponder on what has actually befallen the Government purse, if neighbouring States( Osun ,Edo and Ekiti) have not been treating their workers this way, still bearing in mind Ondo State is oil producing. Maybe it's time to call on the Federal Government for yet another bailout funds, grants or any form of rescue because situation is obviously very bad for the civil servants who most often have no other means of income. Or how would they foot their bills? the primary and secondary school teachers with three to four children to cater for, the aged pensioners needing money for medicals, the health workers toiling night and day to combat the covid19 pandemic, the tertiary school students waiting on their both civil servants parents to get money for the new school resumption, Where's the leeway make up? Urgent help and intervention is needed in ondo state cos depression is very real, hunger is unpalatable, insecurities alarming, crime rate is getting higher and so does the rate of prostitution. Mr Governor should please find a lasting solution. |
