Dear Uk January Applicants,

Please whatever you do, do not apply to University of Westminster for January 2022.

Paid deposit only to be told I can apply for CAS after November 15 and it takes 5 to 10 working days to receive it..
Meaning you have only 1 month or less to apply for visa, get a date and fly to the UK considering the December and January Holidays.

For now, I will focus on other schools.... I have started processing my refund already.
Please be guided.

Should the proof of funds for both of us be in my spouse’s account, in my account or the respective proof of funds be in our individual accounts.

My husband and I submitted our application on the 29th of July (Standard), till Yesterday we didn't hear anything, Yesterday was the 15th working day or 16th sef if we can count biometrics day as part of it. We called them this midnight and the call Operator said decision was made Yesterday. I am curious, why did it take a full 15/16 days to make decision for a standard application when we didn't even receive a non-straightforward mail. It is so frustrating. I'm also really worried, has anyone experienced this before?

Any banking transaction has TRANSATION date and a VALUE date. The VO could not read or understand that which made the miracle AR happen in the shorted possible time. It may not have been the new statement of account, but reading the first one right the second time.

TRANSACTIONS done on weekend have the VALUE date of the next business day.

That said, I can print my statement for a 28 day period with the date range clearly stated, say 18th of July to 16th of August with no single transaction between those dates, except maybe interest payment if it is a savings account or COT for a current account. My OPENING balance will state I held those funds since the 18th of July. The first and maybe only transaction line will read on the 30th of July - Interest paid.....

The VO was either affected by the rush, a newbie or a just a denial hippie.

Congrats! Another good reason not to take out the funds.

It is not a MUST that there must be transactions on both days. Granted that some people don't just know how to count. It is rather a matter of if doing those transactions helps you get your calculations much more accurately. Just ensure your opening and closing balance is sufficiently indicated.

Do you mean the opening balance and the closing balance must be same though my own case the opening balance is 10920000 and the amount needed according to oando rate is like 8.9m n some fractions now I removed like 1m from 10920000, still within the oando rate... What's the implications pls?

Good morning everyone, I Believe someone can learn from my experience.
CAS issued on 3rd August,
VISA Application on 4th August
Biometrics at V.I. on 5th August
Priority VISA
VISA Decision on 12th August and Guess what?
I got a refusal letter from UKVI
I nearly died, I felt life going out of me, like my dreams and aspirations just crumbled.
However, I read in between the lines and saw I could request for an administrative review which I did.
Now, what really happened?
I submitted a statement of account from FCMB dated 12th June to July 11th (common sense, that's 29 days). However, UKVI counted 27 days and on that basis refused my application. A closer look at the statement, I discovered FCMB brought the first transaction on that account which was 12th June down to 15th June. Now, June 12 was a Saturday so you'll expect that the transaction should reflect on Monday 14th June which would have made it exactly 28 days when counted from 14th but my dear FCMB brought in the transaction on Tuesday 15th June hence making it 27 days.
I had to pay extra 80 pounds for administrative review. I also requested a new SOA for about two months from my bank which I submitted as evidence during the review process. I equally printed the email alert I received for the transactions that I did on June 12 which the bank brought in June 15.
I wrote an emotional message to UKVI admitting I could have checked the SOA thoroughly before uploading. That I did the night of August 12th and I was told a new decision will be made within the next 28 days. I kept on praying while I informed Teesside of my ordeal. It was indeed a trying time. God took me to the end of myself so he can take all the glory. My smartness failed me and I had no choice but to expect a MIRACLE.
I was driving home from work yesterday 16th August when I got the good news that my passport was available for pick up. I didn't believe the mail, I had to go back to track my application and lo and behold, all the stages were duly marked.
God is indeed a good God, he never fails. If I got my VISA after a refusal letter, then, rest assured, yours will come too.
Keep hope alive!
Those who are just applying can learn one or two lessons from my experience.

yes I have the original copy with me.
I really don't know what could have cause this. from what i have gathered UI changed the look of their certificate in recent years. Those of us that graduated long time ago have a different look. But I believe they should be familiar with that. I really don't know what they check. But whatever they check it is a big error from their side.

Yes, it worked for IHS and standard visa fee but not for the priority payment.
