Yes..depending on the school....at least I can speak for UWE Bristol. The offer can be sorted in two weeks!!! All things been equal.

1) Yes the scholarship will and should be indicated in the CAS. So if your scholarship is £5000, less that amount from your POF and you can start counting 28 days bank deposit.

2). Not mandatory but in my opinion do small deposits and buy recharge card like N200

3). To the best of my knowledge, it is strictly online. however, you will visit TLS VAC (Visa Application Centre) for biometrics capturing.

YOU MUST TAKE ALONG these documents below with you to the bio-metrics appointment (TLS VAC)

1. TLS PAYMENT/APPOINTMENT CONFIRMATION RECEIPT- Check your email, TLS sent this to you. This document is your ticket to get to the Visa Application Centre. It has the time and address of your appointment.

2. 1st page of your VISA APPLICATION FORM, Print only 1st page only.

3. CHECKLIST

4. SELF SERVICE DOCUMENTS UPLOAD CONFIRMATION

5. Original International Passport

6. Photocopy of Biodata Page (International Passport)

7. Priority receipt sent to your email from the TLS. (if you paid for priority)

It is not mandatory to make transactions. however, I personally feel that it will look and feel awkward to have a statement and not a single transaction in 28 days....even if it's just N2000 deposit or recharge card N500 purchase.

The statement will just look funny... (no penalty 4 that though)

Hmmm, u mean if I withdraw from my POF and it reduces my opening balance but not beyond the exact amount I am to have, I am not on the right track? For instance, if I am to have 500k as my exact amount, I put in 1.5m (which I believe is my opening balance) and at some point I withdrew 300k, to make it 1.2, then finally to 900k, u mean such statement of account might disqualify me?, Please scobyy2007, AA07, Optimally, abeg, make una explain this thing more

Provided you haven't gone below the expected POF you are fine. However, it is important to thread carefully as you make withdrawals so that you don't make the mistake of taking out too much.

I think you should track your application.

Yes, you can pay the full tuition fee and yes your sister in the UK can help with the payment. however, ensure your sister quotes the Student ID number that indicates the payment is 4u...this will enhance quick sorting and update.

Your TB test will explicitly state that she's pregnant. You can also state in while filling your form in the section for additional information. you can also do a small letter explaining this fact and upload with other documents via the TLS portal.

Ensure your TB indicates she's pregnant. Also, note that it has no negative impact on ur visa outcome!!!!

I read somewhere that some years back someone was denied entry to the UK and her visa revoked on the grounds that she didn’t state that she was pregnant during her visa application and that she most likely wasn’t a genuine student..


I am applying for tier 4 visa in like 4 weeks time and my wife is pregnant and I want her to come with me as I won’t have anyone to leave her with when I travel. Is there any place in my application or my wife’s application that I would have to state that my wife is pregnant?
I’m trying to make sure there won’t be any loopholes with our applications.
I am the primary applicant and she’s my dependant.
I basically just want to know if there’s a rule that says we must declare her pregnancy during application because I haven’t seen any slot during application for that.

Where possible, add enough buffer! We have seen people be refused for this exact same thing so why take chances.

Many schools tell your explicitly that the amount required must not drop, not even for a second and then you’re saying it’s the day you set aside. THATS NOT TRUE! I can agree with the day you submit but not the day you set aside….

Again, where possible, add more money to your POF to be on the safe side. In may, we literally saw the rise and fall of the naira even on Oanda.

£705 + £348 = £1,053 (pounds card)

1,053 x 1.5 = $1,580 (Approximately) (dollar card)

just add like $100 just to be on a safe side. However, ensure you have calculated your IHS well using the IHS Calculator..follow the link below:

My school is Birmingham City University.
The school fee is GBP13,200
I got scholarship of GBP1500
I paid deposit of GBP3000
BALANCE FEE DUE NOW= 8,700GBP
Maintenance fund = 9,207GBP

Total Fund required= 17,907GBP.

Now, I have set aside NGN10,850,000.

My school agent is asking me to add another N500k. Although he confirmed that I have excess of only N500k based on the above Naira amount above in my account. However, he prefers I should have excess of N1M. So I should look for additional N500k and add to make excess funds N1M.

Please good people would this excess amount in anyway affect my chances of getting visa approval?

I think your agent is doing a good job...it will be very annoying after waiting for like 20 days then suddenly pounds jumps up....u will have to start all over again or wait until something miraculous happens. I support ur agents position...In fact, I would have preferred a 1.5m addition. More money does not negatively impact ur visa outcome.

Get it paid directly into ur husband's dollar account. Hope he has a corresponding US Dollar Card to make the payments!
