Money held for 28 days before you apply

On the day you apply online, you must have held the money continuously for 28 days. This means that the account balance must not have dropped below the required amount of money at any time during the 28 day period up to the closing balance. The closing balance (day 28) does not need to be the actual day you apply, but it must be no more than 31 days before you submit your application.

If you submit evidence that covers more than 28 days, the Caseworker or Entry Clearance Officer will only consider the money held for the most recent 28 days up to your closing balance. The Caseworker or Entry Clearance Officer will also not consider balances after the date you apply.

If you submit evidence from more than one account, the combined total of all your accounts during the 28-day period before your closing balance will be considered. If the closing balances for your accounts fall on different dates, they will choose the date of one of your closing balances and consider the combined total of all your accounts during the 28 day period up to that date. They will try to choose whichever closing balance date allows you to show that you have maintained the required amount of money for 28 days. They can only choose a closing balance that is within 31 days of the date you submit your immigration application.

Hello house please for those that apply through student visa OR spouse visa, how did you make payment of fees and IHS using Naira. I am finding it difficult to make payments using my ATM card. I want to make payment in Naira. I can not transfer 2.5M for a spouse visa and IHS using my card. Kindly assist OR advise on the easiest way. Hello house,
My wife just got an unconditional offer at uwe for masters in human resource ad I have a couple of questions.
1. I can see on the offer payment of 3000 before enrollment. Will she be paying another before registration when she arrives there cos total tuition is 13,500?
2. Is it true that the rest of tuition can be spread over 6 month(read that somewhere on the net)?
3. Its a 15month course so will POF be for the first year alone or the entire Span of the program?
4. Do we need POF to get CAS?

Hello house, please I need your opinions on this:

My spouse had a 10 year ban from the UK, which expired in 2018....I intend to add my spouse as a dependent to my UK student visa application, please would this be an issue? I have a previous MBA from the UK and I am going for an MSC in data science.

Not good!!! We have seen on this platform where the consultant will help clients lie and still no visa....please truthfulness with these guys is the best...I repeat they have the resources and capability to check travel history with home office UKVI. If you can correct that please do now. Refusal is not a crime...we have seen someone on this platform with over 5 refusals and today he has his student visa intact.

1. Let your wife get her visa 1st before you throw in yours.
2. She should declare she's going with you in her application.
3. She should upload the correct marriage certificate n other evidence.

When she gets her visa then we can talk about yours...my suggestion 4 now

Greetings gurus in the house, Pls I need candid advice..

In 2019 I applied for tourist visa through a desperate agent, here are they following he did on my uk data history. I wasn't married yet, he filled am married with a son dependent to make it look as if I have ties here, secondly he stated av been to south Africa and France but no fake stamp was on my passport, thirdly my parents and I wasn't bearing same surname, he has to use same surname with me to avoid surname discrepancy..
Finally I was denied visa but one of the reasons was immigration history and that the account statement wasn't genuine.

However, am legally married now and my wife is about to travel to UK with study route and I want to apply with her as dependent

Pls how can I go about it? @ justwise and other guru in the house, I need your candid advice. Thank you in anticipation.

the school Rep is trying to safe u, she/he is aware of many have been refused visa cos of this, I did strong head for me own and used 550 as benchmark when's she advised I use 600 after and boom CBN change things...
Use that benchmark,for the school to trust him that much he/she is truly trusted.

I’m not a pro here but to my best of knowledge setting benchmark with black market rate of 650 is to the best advantage of the applicant looking at the dwindling rate of naira, naira can fall with a margin of 150 naira within a month. Anything is possible in the country we found ourselves so why no save himself of any unforeseen wahala and play by the rules of the school? I did my proof of payment in April, my school rep suggested 650 but I used 700 instead as benchmark... If he can afford it then he can go ahead.

Your closing balance, or in other words the amount you have in the bank at the end of the day on 31st March, will be the same as the amount you have in the bank at the start of the day on 1st April. This simply means that your closing at end of today will be your opening balance tomorrow.

I sent fidelity bank statement to my school (Teesside) for my POF . My school has in turn sent a mail to fidelity to confirm the authenticity of the statement and put me in copy of the mail. It has been 3 days now, fidelity bank is yet to respond. Does anyone has experience with fidelity bank in Statement confirmation and how I go about it to get them confirm promptly.

The news about that bank even on this platform is not encouraging. I think you should call their contact centre or something

you can use it provided the closing balance date is not more 31 days old. However, it wouldn't hurt if you print a more recent statement.

Preferably print on the 29th day. For example (May 1 - May 28, Print it on the 29th of May)

Printing 30days is fine too...you can not be penalised for that.

Yeah, you can use Flywire.. it’s faster but the rate is around N740/£.

I would advise you to pay through your bank coz of the current rate N584/£. Though, It might take 3-5 working days or more before they process your payment.

Not a problem...just explain the reason for the refusal to the best of your knowledge.

Please I need a quick advise on this, sometime around 2018 I and my family went for US visa interview which we were refused but seeing that the letter of refusal is important for UK student visa application I quickly rush to where I kept my documents in search of the refusal letter and I couldn't find it.
