Good morning nairalanders.... I want to go to turkey on tourist visa, but the kind of money the agents are telling me is too much I can't afford it.. imaging agent telling me 550k for Turkish visa.. I beg na US I dey go??... I need candid advice please from experts here..

please help a brother.. I don't wanna use this money I have for another project than to join my friends in Turkey.. please help..matured mind plss.

The truth is that Turkish visa has always been very very difficult to get for first timers, I don't want to discourage you but it is still like that. First timers in the past use mexican visa to apply for Turkish evisa but since the Mexican visa is no more valid to obtain the evisa, the demand for direct visa at the embassy has increased causing demand to be high thus making the price too very high though not up to what you where charged.
My advice to you, don't pay anyone a dime before you see your visa if not the chance of loosing your money is 90%.

just had a successful change of data/lost passport. it took one month to process. I want to share this tip so you don't get frustrated while processing it. If when about to start the process you where told #100,000 not the real cost just an example. and you bargained it to #20,000 and the officer agrees, my brothers and sister you must pay that #100,000 or very close to that. cos as he starts the job you will begin to hear stories of how the oga turned down what you offered and mind you, you have already deposited money. other stories how 32 pages not available and you have to add money for 64 pages. how someone that his signature is needed ask for more money.

Nigeria banks are no more advisable for international transactions cos they alone understand their charges. there are other better ways getting your money n with good exchange rate. ask around u will definitely see people that want to send money to Nigeria.

Boss i am interested but i would like to know the cost of living there as well as price of tuition fee.

Ukraine is among the countries in Europe with lowest income/wages for its citizens and for them to be able to survive, things like food, transportation, accommodation, health and so on has to be cheap and affordable. which made the above mentioned very cheap.
Tution fees in Ukraine varies in different schools and cities. But from $1,200 to $1,800 for pre courses, $2,000 to $3,000 for engineering courses, $4,000 to $4,700 for medical, nursing and pharmacy. all theses are fees in English medium per year. accommodation in hostels also varies from 1 man, 2 man, 3 man room to 4 man room. price from $400per year and so on. tuition fees can be paid using bank Form A after students are in Ukraine and signed a contract with school. which most students are using now.
feel free to ask ur questions.

Education / Re: Studying In Ukraine Universities by scofield2(m): 11:59am On Apr 19, 2016
Ukrainians are brilliantly corrupt in the sence that in Ukraine agents are officially recognized and without them it is not possible to get a study invitation letter, but at the embassy they rule out agents. reason being that they just can't turn down a genuine invitation but they want you to make mistakes in documents you will be presenting to the embassy which is very common.
Last week I was at the embassy a man that traveled to abuja, payed almost a week for hotel with his twins to apply for visa but both of them were refused reason being that they brought a one month bank statement instead of six month. at the long run he lost #68,000 for both of them as visa fee is 34,000 Naira. which is what the embassy wants.
if that is not what the embassy wants, they will have a recognised firm to check documents before it is presented to the consular which is what most embassies do.
Another girl was refused cos her insurance was six months.
I will not take a dime. to assist make sure your documents are correct and are well arranged before you appear for your interview.

I said time will tell. This is thesame person https://www.nairaland.com/2340279/usa-mexico-serbia-malaysia-cuba someone is already confirming that he is demanding money before processing anything. Must you be scammed first before you know that someone is scam?

Ignorance is a very big disease. Please get informed. Thanks for the correction but I still stand on the fact that this is scam. Time will tell I believe someone from Nairaland will try them and confirm. He is too small to scam me. I am not advicing anyone to be careful am insisting that this is scam. Time will tell. Please try and go out and see what is happening in embassies then u too can judge.

OldbreeD:
Hello,
I have been selected for further processing in the Diversity Immigrant Visa Program 2016, and while was filling the DS-260 form I got stuck in the "Permanent Residence" part.
My problem is that there is no one I know in USA, no relatives nor friends, and some suggested to fill a random address and find a correct address before interview, and others suggested to write "not yet known".
I don't want to make a mistake filling the form, so I am asking what is the best way to fill this part of the form.

You defiantly need that address but for now you can go on with filling the form without the address while you try to get one. After some months they will send you a mail that your process is on hold. I will quote exactly how it was quoted "
The DS-230 Part 1 you submitted for the principal applicant was incomplete. In order to continue processing your visa application the following information for the Principal Applicant must be completed and returned to Kentucky Consular Center. Please include your case number, Principal Applicant's name, and complete date of birth in the following format (MMDDYYYY):

• DS-230 Part 1, Question # 10 & 11, US address missing.
but you can send it to them by email once you have it. But I strongly believe if u do not provide it your visa no. Can be delayed. GL

Summit announces agreement towards visa free travel for Ukraine
The EU 22-11-2010 announced an Action Plan for Ukraine to work towards the establishment of a visa free regime for short stay travel, as well as a Protocol for Ukraine’s access to EU programmes – “very important decisions that bring concrete benefits to Ukrainian citizens,” said European Commission President José Manuel Barroso.

Statement by the First Vice Prime Minister Andriy Kliuyev on finalizing a new agreement on free trade with CIS countries up to January and February should be viewed as a signal to Brussels on the availability of official Kiev alternative to cooperation with the EU as partners,

One more question, there are two semesters in ukraine and second semester will be ending this month so which semester did his students resume to?,  SPECIAL SEMESTER MAYBE LOL!!! grin grin grin Note that all schools in ukriane resumes 1st of September every year. You come in june and july when schools are on holidays what will he be doing? the fact is boarder is open only from 15th of august school starts 1st of September take it or leave it
Travel / Re: Ukraine Ticket by scofield2(m): 2:16pm On Jun 04, 2010
geeeezzz what is confusing cant you read the hand writing on the wall. call the embassy and ask them i think they will tell you the truth or what the embassy tells you will be confusing too. What is the name of the agent and is he in ukraine or nigeria? In the first place you said agent, thats for you to know that he will tell you anything to see he makes his living.
Travel / Re: Ukraine Ticket by scofield2(m): 6:44am On Jun 04, 2010
Yes he can get his visa from another country outside his home country, but entering ukraine before august 15 is verry difficult. Why i said very difficult is cos its possible but the money he will pay to enter will be too much that he will prefer to stay in his country and come after 15 august. also the chances of him been deported is 98% cos he will have his return ticket with him which means it does not cost the migration officers anything to take him to the departure hall and wait for the next flight back to his country after 15 august he can come in again with the same visa cos they will not put any stamp in his passport. The reason is cos the boarder imigration gets names of confirmed visa from the embassy/ministry of education only after 15 august and everything is deleted from their system after 15 november but for those coming after 15 november, the school sends new confirmation to the ministry of education and the ministry sends to the boarder imigration and the embassy.

@taitee
You dont have a problem your invitation is through an agent no school will give invitation without an agent cos they too dont want to waste blanks and the ministry has already informed every school to issue only to an agent, they also know that embassy will not issue visa if its not through an agent. Your friend got it through an agent just check the back of the invitation you will see the agents registration no. and name of his company even if sometimes it is in russian language but it will not be blank. The only thing is that pray your friend got your letter from a reasonable agent.

You must be among them too. The truth they say is bitter
Travel / Websites Owned By Agents That Scam Students In Ukriane by scofield2(m): 6:18pm On May 24, 2010
Hello gentlemen and ladies  i have decided to bring up this topic so that students planing to travel to travel to ukraine will know the agents they are dealing with and be careful not to fall victims of agents that will scam them at the airport. Some do ask questions like must you go through an agent ? the answer is yes the law in ukraine especially for nigerians is that only an invitation letter for studies issued through an agent will be given visa the reason for these new laws was cos lot of nigerians broke ukrainian laws by coming into the country and not showing up in school or not attending classes and there is no body the immigration can hold responsible as the school that issues invitation letters for studies is owned by government and the governmet is the immigration authorities just like the saying that says if your goat eats your yam, who pays for the yam? definatly nobody cos of these they made it mandatory to have an agent inbetween so that any students that breaks the law, the agent will pay fine and will have to provide that student or he has big problems with the immigration which can lead to him or her not able to invite any body to ukraine again.
But my reason for bringing up this topic is for us here in ukraine that are not happy about what some agents we know do to students at the airport cos of thier inability to understand and speak russian language. Below this tread i will start by listing some websites that students have to stay away from in dealing with agents when they want to come to ukraine cos the owners of these sites are real scams when it comes to taking students money at the airport.
For those that are in ukraine that know other websites too please assit your brothers and sisters by adding to the tread and it will be well with you if you are scared of adding a website just send the website to scofield2@inbox.ru as soon as i get it i will add it.

abroadstudytrackukr.com
ukrainestudies.com
edu-ukraine.com
poland-ukraine-universities.com

as times goes on more sties will be investigated and be added please those in ukraine assist your brothers and sisters by adding websites you know you have had bad experience with when you came to urkaine.
