I don’t know if this swap swap of medical works ooo. I do see post and wonder how it works… Best way is to go there in person. If you’ve booked a day, good for you. Just take your Nollywood skill there. There’s always a session for those with issues. Give them better story that you yourself can believe, I promise they will give you a very close day. I did same with my upfront medical in first application and I got a new date within 2 days interval. IOM is 90% UK application. So they have high preferential treat for Canada. For Qlife, I don’t know the percentage but take your nollywood shoe there and you can get something out of your story. Regards. zxxtx: Hi friend, how is it possible to reach you ?? I am also interested in your offer to swap medical dates mine is on 04-Apr-2022.
Thanks for your kind consideration in advance |

Leave that for IOM. They will. The beauty is you did your medical within slated period. Once you finish, a slip will be given to you. You will send it via webform and mail same day too… So just proceed to have your medical first. Regards. BellefilleOma: Thanks so much for this reply, I was so scared but the issue is that will IOM send the results on time after my medicals. How long will it take for results to come out?
Also, Pls could u explain how Feb 10th(that's last month) is still within 30 days. |

Hi, Lucky you, Feb 10 is still within 30days. I will advice you go to IOM Ikeja very early tomorrow. Explain all this to them, You can be lucky to have it done same day or 10th which is still within. You do not need your Covid 19 card to do medical. All you need is yourself, International Passport, Payment receipt and your Medical request letter. Regards. BellefilleOma: Goodevening nairalanders, I joined today after a friend of mine recently introduced me to nairaland. Actually i have questions.
1. I found out today i received a medical request on Feb 10th,2022 and i am to do my medicals by 8:am tomorrow. Actually my application is being handled by one of my aunts, who runs a travel agency. Will it be too late to send my medical results after its ready?
2. What do i do to avoid problems? There's a particular section in the request letter, where an applicant is told to inform IRCC as soon as possible if he or she cannot complete the medicals within the 30 days timeframe . Will this help in any way?
3. Also, what do i do?...i forgot to bring my covid19 card with me and I dont stay in Lagos. I wasn't informed on time. Someone advised me to snap it.
Pls i need answers... |

Hi Technix, I’m aware of both type of WES. Thanks for the Professional lecture on McGill University… Regards. technix: Hi scottish99, you could have done a little research before saying 'this is not fully correct'.
So, there are two types of evaluation: document-by-document and course-by-course evaluations. The former is for equivalency only and doesn't include courses and grades.
Secondly, NOT all schools accept WES, and I am attaching a proof here that McGill University IPN program is one them. |
Travel › Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 21 by Scott99tish(m): 5:52am On Mar 02, 2022 |
This is not fully correct. Course by Course evaluation WES also request Transcripts from your local school. So, they attach it all to your evaluation with certificate. I see no reason why some schools won’t accept as it’s fully detailed. More than you doing ordinary transcript sef. Regards. technix: Some schools don't accept WES. But if your WES includes a course-by-course evaluation of your official transcript, some schools accept it.
You will have to check the requirements of the school.
By the way, if possible, you could just get a student copy of your transcript from your school and use it for initial application. |

Awesome. Thanks… username12: I don't think you should submit any documents at this point, unless IRCC requests for it, else, you should expect a longer processing time, because your eligibility review will be paused for the new document to be reviewed and verified before eligibility will start again. Quick question House and @Makano;
My eligibility has started since Feb 7 and I just changed Job on 15th of Feb. I left the company that gave me Introduction letter with study leave for a better job now in major telecom company in Nigeria.
Do I need to update them with new job since my LinkedIn account as changed ? I saw something like PFL for fake employment recently. I don’t want this to be interpreted wrongly. Kindly advice…
I also don’t want to affect the process by uploading something that will delay their process.
I’m open to suggestions…
Regards. |

Awesome God. I’m happy for you. May the land Favor you and your baby… gaeul: When I wanted to start my application I heard of NSE and wrote IELTS. I proceeded for my upfront medicals in October but alas they saw scar and I did three more x-ray and was told I would have to do sputum. Did sputum for 3days and was told it takes 8weeks for result to be out.
I had wanted to chill till result are out but had to apply for my student permit a month after my medicals in November.
Submitted and did biometrics, then the long wait for the result of the sputum. Fortunately, I passed the sputum December but was asked for one more medicals but I was already pregnant (I got pregnant same month I submitted). They said the last medical is another x-ray. I left UK after my second miscarriage in 2014 and I have been trying to concieve for 5years. I sent someone to IOM for alternative as my gynecologist said No X-ray unless is Life threatening situation. IOM said no alternative.
I resolved never to do x-ray as no ambition is worth more than my baby. I surfed and surfed information to no avail. I had to inform IRCC of my decision not to do X-ray as I was pregnant. I told them plain and simple that my baby is worth more than my ambitions and asked for alternative to x-ray. I attached my pregnancy scan and previous miscarriage documents. They replied me that they have forwarded my request to the appropriate office.I was shocked when my medical changed to passed last week. 4 months after a very complicated back and forth medicals stuggle. The last X-ray was waived as a result of my pregnancy.
Because of my medical glitches, I didn't pay any school fees but I asked my school to give me a letter stating tuittion or tuitton deposit isn't a requirement which they did.
Many people told me they don't give pregnant women student permit but God did it. I didn't risk doing any x-ray with my baby and I got my permit.
I return all the glory to God. My correspondence letter came same day as medicals. I was so tensed but I kept praying. Thankfully my PPR came today.
Pregnancy isn't a limitation but a blessing and it shouldn't be a reason for refusal and I hope my experience encourages a pregnant mother or prospective mother that they can achieve their dreams even with pregnancy.
In all you do, never forget to pray. God is still a God of awesome wonders. I return all the Glory to God Almighty.
To every one waiting for their PPR, may God grant the desires of your hearts.
I want to thank everyone who have shared their timeline or experiences here, you all are the best. You have helped thousands of people unknowingly...May God bless you all
As for proof of finance, I used my personal bank account with just enough for my first year fees and first year living expenses and my land document. I bought the land to preserve my 2nd year tuition fees from naira devaluation which I stated on my LOE.
Thanks to Nairaland I did my application without the help of any agent. Thanks all |

Maybe it’s you Fixed Deposit Certificate that caused it. Regardless, request for GCMS note to know the exact reason before you retire. It will surely come to past. Sorry bro… You will get there. So close. Gilb231: Breakfast served this morning
Self sponsored application.
I am not satisfied you would leave Canada at the end of your study permit.
I submitted a fixed deposit certificate in my name of over CAD15,000. I explained in my SOP that this is where my living expenses would come from.
My personal bank statements with a closing balance of N1.5million after paying my school fees.
Employment letter
Study leave approval
Payment of my complete tuition and 6months health insurance (basically I don’t owe the school tillage end of my program)
Should I just buy GIC to re apply ? Maybe also add landed documents ?
