Both. She can be your co-sponsor. She can transfer some fund to you while you do deed of gift of her support for you, then she can write a letter to show her commitment why she's supporting.
I co-sponsor my mom as She sent me funds for school fees, So I did deed for those transactions.

See below timeline of my application: First Application Submitted April 30th, 2021 I found Nairaland first week of August then I got to know about Upfront medical
Upfront medical August 4th, 2021 Delay came on August 16, 2021 Reason: Personal Assets and Financial Status.
I paid Half tuition fee with 10million in my account as Self-Sponsored. I was wondering HOW and WHY refusal again… But after dropping my delay on nairaland, I got some responses then I knew where my problem was even before I got GCMS note. So I started tackling and typing… Lump sum. I never stated anything finance in my SOP, talk-less of mentioning the lump sum I had 4 days before submission. Well, a lesson.
I ordered GCMS note and the result was actually correct. Lump sum. What I did different; 1. I paid Full tuition fee 2. I explained all the lump sum I had in my LOE, even when they won’t be in my new statement of account because I had to wait till December for submission to avoid stories again. 3. I gave sources of all lump sum I had then with documents to back them up. Some equipment I owned, I brought up their receipts and their rental agreement which gave me lump sums.
Secret: Don’t rush any submission. Try to get it right.
I ensured I don’t have ANY new lump at allll. I wrote my beautiful LOE and SOP, to me beautiful, lol.
Thank God I asked Makano to review for me. Then He blasted me ehn. I was like, It took me 14days to come up with all this and this guy was just putting lines lines lines. Well, I relaxed because He knows better. We kept going back and forth but He para that I don’t want to learn that He charge for what he’s doing for me free, Sorry I had to say all this Makano, it’s just funny to talk about them now.
I pleaded with him that I will pay what ever fee, because I like how he’s getting angry at me because I needed to get it right. I sha paid the discount He gave me because He saw how dedicated I was.
Finally We got something meaningful that I confirmed my initial beautiful LOE/SOP was rubbish.

Re-applied 7th of December, 2021… Action movie started. 7th of Feb, 2022 being my birthday, Eligibility started. 29th of March, 2022 Original Passport Request.

actually I submitted my application in November and it took ircc 2 months to send my submission confirmation message.

He posted his timeline and told us his story. Granted he didn’t post his documents, but he attempted timeline and acknowledged those that helped him. Does that sound like a taker to you. Then I got out, went to 7-10 hotels, they all refused to allow me use my cards. Okay nah. Inside this cold. I just called taxi, no be today we dey sleep for park for naija if night catch us for Journey. I returned to airport, chop food, charged my phone and slept like a baby
In the morning, I left my bags, I go charge phone, as I come back, I no see my bag again. 2 bags filled with My clothes and Ijebu garri, abeg nah, no be Oshodi we dey fah.
I went to information desk, a security attended to me and said Canine departments came to carry it, egbami. K wetin you call am, no wahala, okay, gimme their address make I go meet them, dem say no way, nah only info desk close to where I sat can know the location of my bag.
Haha, people wey never come, me wey done dey here since, una kon say nah dem go get info. Okay nah. 10am knack. I go there , and dey brought out my bag, I signed, gave them my driver's license and they released my bag.

Same day, I opened 3 accounts, got SIN. ID card is instant. Everything is just organized.
Sorry about that. That's why I stated I don't know about Qlife. IOM is 90% UK application. Canada applicant na special candidate to them.
So try your luck, I did mine and got it through with upfront. The person in mention has Medical request which is almost closing on his/her timeline. So they will surely consider him/her. Just explain deeply.

Chiziteremary: i went to Qlife all the way from the south-east but they refused my medical before the date. My medical date was booked for 12th January at that time but i was in lagos 2nd week of December for biometrics so i decided to try my luck. I beg tire, they no gree. U can imagine the pain of coming back to the South East and going back again the next month for something i think they could have easily given me a concession for. Well my advice is unless u have a medical request from IRCC and you are unable to get date within 30days dont bother going to qlife. I dont know of IOM anyway. Just wait for the date u booked your appointment.
