godspeed:With all due respect this statement here is a lie. How the heck does the Mi9SE have better design than Mi9T? What f**king confirmation? A device with a dew-drop notch is better design wise than one with a fully immersive unobstructed full screen display? ![]() With this your analogy, your Mi9SE has a better design than the OnePlus 7pro. Yeye dey smell ![]() |
If Changes in design was not such a big deal, Most of the OEMs would have stuck with the old 16:9 design with large bezels. Even Samsung at one point had to bulge and move towards the trendy design . So leave me out of the Design is always subjective talk. How many of you here will buy any latest Flagship with Samsung S6 kinda bezel in 2019? ![]() |
godspeed:What makes the S10 family better than the S9 family? What makes the iPhone X and above better than the iPhone 8 and below? Is it just the technical specs alone like the processors, sound quality, screen etc? Is the latest trendy design not part of the reason people upgrade? And when I mean people, I am referring to the Majority and not the few tech-heads that will hold on to a 2nd generation Pixel and claim it is a better overall device than Mi9Tpro. |
godspeed:Incase you missed it, I listed Processor, Battery, More trendy design, and missing bits like the 3.5mm Jack and Radio. You can't tell me a phone that has lesser of the features above and lacking some entirely is better than the phone that has them. All your points above have been countered with facts and figures with proper reference by @genius43. Up till now, most of your points have been subjective, nothing objective in them. Show me a detailed comparison from a reputable source that puts the Mi9SE above the Mi9T overall or hold your peace. |

jboixxx:I dey hail you from this side. ![]() |
@godspeed list 5 strong relevant features the mi9se has over the mi9T save for the more compact size? |
Gptech:Na you just dey give me joy as I still dey use this my Note 4 ![]() |
godspeed:The Processor, Battery, Design(especially the Fullscreen), Missing bits on the Mi9SE(like radio and 3.5mm jack) and it is the Newer device. |
Dam5reey:Stories you obviously need to know ![]() |
godspeed:So let's just agree, the one feature you Value above all is the size of the Mi9SE right? That is the only reasonable point you've made so far in this Mi9T versus Mi9SE argument. Any other thing na kabash abeg! Kindly rest now. ![]() |
godspeed:I am not here to start an iPhone versus Android argument. You made reference to it and I replied. We all know how iPhone fanboys are now! I no wan cause kasala for here abeg. Na anywhere Apple tell them dem go face. The original argument was Mi9T versus Mi9SE. And so far, you have not showed us with any of your points how the Mi9SE is a better buy than Mi9T. |
Dam5reey:So impure iOS dey? ![]() Baba read and understand what you quoted. Only Apple uses iOS, no other OEM does. There is no need to go on about anything like Pure iOS. Comparing iOS and android is not a straightforward thing you are making it out to be. Android did not reach where it is today because Google started the Nexus, then the Pixel project. It is the open source nature that has helped it from the beginning. Heck! When did Google even release their first branded phone? PS: I am not sideling the importance of Google to android, but other OEMS also have a big stake in whatever Android has turned to today. |
godspeed:How many iPhone X users are around the world compared to Android Users that use phones that still have those features you are trying to label archaic? |
Dam5reey:I must have overestimated your knowledge on phones.(No pun intended) Comparing iOS and Android in this context is just off point. How many OEMs use iOS? Is it not just one company with at most 3 models in a phone-calender year? If other OEMs were allowed to use iOS, you think it will be the same experience throughout? ![]() So, there is nothing simple about that your first statement. iOS and Android operate differently on many levels. This your statement is just like saying the Microsoft Surface is the MacOS version of Windows! Does this make sense in the context we are on? |
[quote author=godspeed post=80403467]And how many are they compared to the Number of Android Users worldwide? Especially users of Low-Midrange Android phones that still have all these features you are trying to label archaic? ![]() |
Dam5reey:How is your first statement relevant to any of the things we've been stating since? ![]() If iOS was not a closed operating system, you think people wouldn't try other things. Even at that, there are a minority who still jailbreak their phones just to sideload things. So what exactly are you on about? ![]() And another thing is that, majority of Android users use their phones with the "stock" software it comes with same way pixel users do. So your point is just null and void regardless of whatever you meant in that first statement. Totally irrelevant in the discuss. At the bolded, if you must know, MAJORITY of people won't buy a phone just for the camera alone. Especially when it is an overpriced one. The Pixel(s) are good examples of phones like that. |
Dam5reey:Just to be clear, this phone is not for you right? ![]() Cos I was wondering if I mistaked your moniker for another. |
Dam5reey:I must have mistaken your moniker for another concerning the bolded. The Pixel 2 is a very good phone with fantastic camera, but Stock Android is not everybody's cup of tea. I have never been a big fan of it. I prefer custom skins with in-built features that I would need to sideload through mods on Stock android. Remind me how well the Pixel(s) have done in the Market so far compared to similarly priced phones at launch? |
Dam5reey:Xiaomi Flagship of what year exactly? Except for the Camera on the Pixel 2 what else is fascinating about the phone? Oh! Wait! the Stock android shey? ![]() And why exactly are you not sticking with the more durable phones? Why did you buy the Mi9T? You for kuku buy iPhone 8 na ![]() |
jboixxx:You no dey part of the Note 4 family again na ![]() |
@godspeedSo why did you buy the Mi9SE instead of Samsung S9? ![]() See before I chose the mi 9 se, I seriously considered buying the mi 8 of last year, in the end, it was the size of theYou are only strengthening the major point from my last post here ![]() Bros the picture quality of the SE is confirmed better than the k20 series. You read an American even mention it in the same breathe with the pixel 3a. The 9 SE has better picture quality and I'll show u proof.I dey wait for your proof! And of course the size is still a compelling reason to choose the 9 SE.Once again, you're strengthening my point. Features like radio, headphone Jack and the likes are so irrelevant in the tech world of today. This is you just over-reaching here. As for me and a whole lot of phone enthusiasts, we would rather have feature(s) even though they are rarely used than not have them at all. You never know when some features will come in handy. So, your irrelevant talk is just trying too hard to console yourself for buying a phone with less features. |
Dam5reey:Na wa for some of your points at times sha. If the screen to body ratio was not such a big thing, why has it been reducing gradually over the years? Even the iPhone X you are making reference to, why didn't Apple stick to the big bezels of the previous iPhone 8? ![]() Even most midrange phones ain't left out of the reduction of the Screen to body ratio trend and you are saying it isn't important in classifying how premium a phone is. Remind me what all the major Flagships released recently look like? ![]() |
@godspeed Bros! you sha no wan gree say the time of your phone don pass ![]() Whether you want to accept it or not OVERALL the K20/MI9T gives you better value for your money. The only and I mean the only reasonable excuse a person should be buying Mi9SE over Mi9T today should be the smaller size. Some might Nitpick and point to Infrared and slightly better camera sensor on paper, but I am yet to see a comparison that confirms Mi9SE produces better picture quality because of just that. I know it's very sad to see your recently bought phone get relegated so quickly, na xo me sef feel wen Note 5 commot But my Note 4 still better am sha you can confirm from @Gptech ![]() |
Kpoka:Check to be sure that "Photos" app is not syncing continuously in background. Except you use it a lot sha, I can't see a reason why it should be sucking your battery that much. |
olayinkajnr:Noted ![]() |
BoboKush:You are not bright at all, resorting to insults when being corrected. Bright people take to correction with appreciation. Even some known teenagers on this thread are still way more sensible. I will avoid your moniker when it comes to sensible discussions from now on. |
BoboKush:Stick to your ignorance and enjoy it. ![]() |
yak:Hian! Must every phone come with large screen ni? Must every phone favour Gorilla hands people? Abeg make una leave this one like that. The leaked 6.08" is okay for the lite version. If you want a bigger screen wait for the non-lite version, it should have a bigger screen and all round better spec. |
BoboKush:BTW = By The Way Btwn = Between We learn everyday! ![]() |
@Mustiboy Sorry on your ordeal and I hope you've learnt valuable lessons from both yours and others you spent time with in the cell. And please, you guys should stop quoting the whole post quote his moniker and drop your reply. |
lamidiinjury:I no kuku dey snap like that. |
