Yes my bootloader is unlocked and the phone is rooted. I have twrp install also.
How can I do the second option please? Are you on telegram please so you can guide me?
Just search for the latest recovery rom for your device.
On downloading, move the zip file to a folder you can easily navigate to.
Press the combination to enter custom recovery. If you've flashed any zip with TWRP, this should be straightforward for you. The same process you used in flashing the "magisk" or "superuser" zip is same you should use.

In addition to the above, download "Lazyflasher-no-verity.zip" Flash this after flashing the new rom to avoid bootlooping.

Hello,
My redmi note 5 don enter brick land after installing xposed. una shud help me please. it enter bootloop.
gptech, grandmufti, fibonacci
If your bootloader is unlocked, enter fastboot mode and install fastboot rom.
Another option is if you already have a custom recovery flashed, find your way there and do a fresh install of the most recent recovery rom for your model.

It does because it's exactly what a closet iPhone fan would say, which isn't a bad thing, my grouse is this "AOSP is boring" talk, it's being a smelling dead argument since the arrival of nougat n Google pixel line launch, for me the only reason to bring up that dead argument is that the person is a closet iPhone fan managing a Xiaomi device
It baffles me that someone will sit down and come up with the above and think it makes sense. undecided

From this your made up theory, what you see as the truth is that anybody that prefers any of the custom OS of any of the major chinese android OEMs is a closet Iphone fan right?
In addition, the only true android fans are the ones that prefer the close to or stock android interface right?

If your answer to both question above is Yes, you my bro are deluded.

Eeechenmeelee1:
Lol this right here is how you know people that can't wait to buy an iPhone
You my bro are getting ahead of yourself. So you can suddenly deduce my worth and my supposed preference just because it falls in line with your made-up theory.

"I like MiUi more than Stock Android, because I find Stock android boring"

How does the above assertion make me a closet Iphone fan?

Eeechenmeelee1:
My point n yours are not mutually exclusive, economic reality forces people to have preferences. My aim was to highlight how "the AOSP is boring" argument is a DOA since nougat n birth of Google's Pixel line, it may or may not be BS, but it is certainly true, whether you like it or not
If I still had a whole lot of money to spend on a phone, I would still not buy an Iphone. So where is the truth in what you posted? undecided

In my own opinion I think people who still insist MIUI is awesome n AOSP is boring after nougat, Oreo n pie low key want to buy an iPhone but are too broke to afford it n too cowardly to admit it grin
I like the way you bolden the "opinion" part. Guess what? This particular one reeks of BS!
Whatever happened to people having a preference? undecided

I just heard Xiaomi openly admitted to displaying ads on the settings application. I have to laugh grin grin grin
FYI, the only reason why the Xiaomi thread is that long is because of user complaints huh grin
Your situation is irredeemable. You just started a blog and you feel the best way to direct traffic to it is by posting unfounded mumbo-jumbo bereft of facts and figures.

Have you even taken your time to go through the thread? A tech company without physical presence whatsoever in Nigeria with a thread of over 4000+ pages and still counting on the most popular forum, and one unknown ignorant self proclaimed information carrier concluded the thread is filled with majorly complaints.

And concerning the ads, admitting to what they do is obviously a sign of best practices. If you had gone a step further with your research you should have read that the ads can be disabled easily, it's just a matter of checking the right places for correct and complete info, which you clearly don't know how to do.
Interestingly, the ads are even the unobtrusive type which is very different from the full page pop-ups ads very common on a lot of free third party apps on google play store.

I will leave this final advice here for you: research very well before shunning out unfounded informations. There are a lot of credible sources to get tech related news, heck! General news backed with facts. Find yourself one or two of these sources and rise from the pit of ignorance you've confined yourself into.

I've been using Samsung all my life, the very first Android phone I used was Galaxy S2, then S3,S4,S5 now ,S8.
I don't know what it's like to use any other phone except Samsung.
There was a time I lost my S4 and was tight on budget so I decided to get an infinix(brand new) phone for the time been, I used the phone for just half a day and threw it away.... ran to computer village the next day and got the S5.

I don't think I can use any other phone except Samsung and maybe an iPhone, other phones sounds like trash to my ear after my infinix experience cheesy
And you think some of us on here defending Xiaomi have not used Samsung before? undecided
I for one feel if you have the money for the top of the line flagships, kindly buy them and enjoy. But I don't really subscribe to buying their 2nd hand at very very exorbitant rate which can get you brand new flagships of brands like Xiaomi, OnePlus, Meizu etc.

baba stop talking out to another am saying the phone is expensive than it supposed to be
You've been on about the samsung J2, but have you tried comparing it to the redmi 4a you're downgrading.
That phone is averagely priced at 35k and I for one won't recommended it because it is an old model. You should get a Redmi 5A or 6A instead if you can't go beyond the 35k budget.
https://m.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPhone1=8904&idPhone2=8420
Follow that link and check the comparison. Make sure you put in mind that Redmi 4A is a 2016 model while j2 pro is 2018.

and for your information the phone is redmi 4A
grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin
My people! Can you see we've been wasting our time on a lost cause! embarassed
You handled a Redmi 4A, one of the cheapest, that is if it's still being produced sef because it already has two successors in the Redmi 5A and Redmi 6A.
For your info, the 4A and all the succeeding models are the cheapest models in all of Xiaomi line.
It is now this model you used to describe the whole brand? sad
This your situation is like handling the cheapest of Samsung J series line and using it define the whole of Samsung phone brand lipsrsealed

cos the phone was just poo speaker, camera, after checking these two i don't waste my time check others cos i might get the same result and the phone was around 40k to 50K
Samsung Rock Expensive Yes But It Worth it Quality Beat Quantity
Some of you will buy a sub 50k phone and expect the quality and performance of a 200k+ phone. undecided
Your anger mood arise
wetin this one dey talk? Which Xiaomi model did you handle and which samsung phone are you comparing it with?
Phones › Re: Should You Buy Xiaomi Phones...? by scotweezy(m):
Most of the things you wrote above are just as a result of ignorance and hearsay(especially the part where you put Xiaomi and Umidigi/leagoo in the same bracket) they are hardly your personal experiences.
"they mass produce so many series of devices with similar specifications and hardware but just change the name or the suffix"
This sub is for Huawei not Xiaomi. You should endeavour to use that thing in your hand very well by searching the internet well.
"Sold only in China"
You my bro are just posting nonsense. So how exactly is Xiaomi the biggest mobile brand in India by sales if they only sell in China?
They have physical presence in many Asian countries, the Uk, some European countries and even one or two countries in the Middle East and Africa.
"Some of their recent phones released this year come packed with snapdragon 651 or some later chipsets, compared to some brands like the LG V20 which was released in 2016 come with the snapdragon 820."
Which processor is "snapdragon 651?" It is just obvious you don't know shit about phones or you've been reading your tech news from shitty sources, because if out of the plethora of chipsets Xiaomi utilised in their phones manufactured this year and the only chipset you could muster out is one that does not even exist, then what exactly are you on about? huh
The Xiaomi brand which is actually a clone of the Iphone
What the heck does this statement even mean in 2018?
And you recommended One plus, Huawei, Zte and LG instead right? undecided And these brands are not Iphone clones too?
Their prices ranges from a $100-$500 which is a lot cheaper than most brands but lack "premium" features; mostly their cameras and overall quality build
How many Xiaomi phones have you used or owned? Because I am forced to wonder how you came to a conclusion about their build quality. So because Mi Mix 3 cost way less than a Samsung S9 then it is inferior in build quality? undecided Bros you go dey alright las las with this your skewed mentality about gadgets.
No customer service/ repair centre in the country
Bros! leave that thing! The samsungs and Apples of this world that have official repair centre in the country, how easy is it to get phones repaired? You can always order the parts of most Xiaomi phones online and give to experienced engineers to repair.
Finally, most chinese brands are great but please go behind what is written in paper
Xiaomi phones aren't just good on paper, they are arguably the best value when considering price to performance ratio. You don't just get good hardware, you get the most supported official Skinned Android UI i.e.MiUi
And surprise! surprise!! for an ignorant person like you, they have models that run officially on Stock Android. tongue
