50calibre: I think sagamite was banned, but I saw him emerge with another ID sagamanI actually meant 'sagaman'the ID he was using before the thread was temporarily locked. He needs to answer our questions. |
I won't be surprised if a Nigerian with a completely islamic name is amongst the UK contigent of those terrorists on the list above. |
Al shabab fighters who carried out the assault, as released on their Twitter handle. Sayid N. from Kismayu, Somalia. Zaki Jama C., from Hargeisa, Somalia Said D., from Damascus, Syria Qasim Said M., Garissa, Kenya Ismail G., from Helsinki, Finland Ahmed Nasir S., from London, UK Mustafa N., from Kansas City, US Abdishakur Sheikh H., from Maine, US Abdifatah Osman K., from Minneapolis, US Ahmad Mohamed I., from Saint Paul, US Abdikarem Ali M., from Illinois, US Shafie D., from Tucson, US |
Gassing the mall is increasingly looking like the only solution left here. Might not be perfect but still. |
Has Sagamite been banned? I am still waiting for him to suggest a way to end this hostage without any civillian or even miltary casualty. Where is our MR intelligent? |
Explosions are taking place in the mall at the moment. Sagamite is getting his criticism ready.....he hasn't offered any reasonable solution yet. |
Contain the terrorist in what manner? What if it provokes the rest and results in the killing of the hostages? I am not saying they shouldn't do anything, I am just saying that this is a very tricky situation. Like some other posters here said, more advanced countries have been in this situation in the past and it didn't end well. I am sure if a single life (of the hostages or even security operatives) is lost during the operation, armchair critics like you will be on their neck all week. So tell me how this operation can be carried out cleanly MR intelligent. |
50calibre: Go away with your inanimate gods, I'd urinate on your godsHahaha |
Sagaman: person, so are you suggesting they should not sweep the rooms?Your suggestion is useless. ''sweeping the rooms'' can put the lives of the hostages in greater danger and the terrorists aren't willing to negotiate. So you see, it isn't as easy as you think. It is always easier to criticise the the deed has been done. Just check out the kind of thrash you brought up as a suggestion. SMH profusely. |
Sagaman: I am not a security expert. The terrorist posted on their twitter account that negotiation is out of the question. As for sweeping the mall room by room, what will the terrorists be doing while that happens? Isn't that putting the lives of the hostages in danger? What if they aren't just confined to one room? Next suggestion please, MR Intelligent. |
Sagaman: Well, it is not rocket science to be developed in these simple security tactics.I am still waiting for you to suggest a soulution to this stand-off now. Are you waiting for them to take action then you look for faults? Typical armchair critic. People are living a real life and being useful to their society (like the security operatives), all you do is argue over the internet 24/7 claiming to be intelligent. SMH |
I imagining how the terrorists have enough food in that mall to sustain them for months. This is a tough one. |
italo: Years back, in a theatre hostage situation in Russia, the Russians Gassed the theatre from outside and everyone fell asleep. They then went in and carried out the hostages and terrorists like sleeping babies. That's the only idea I've been thinking about. |
Promhize: Everyone leaving the building should not be allowed to leave maybe except for the wounded. These terrorists could just drop their arms and join the innocent civilians.some have done that already, according to an eye witness who recognised them. |
yetseyi: I am just wondering if we are capable of this kind of response in Nigeria. I don't know much about weapons and the military but I just feel that from what i watched in the video response was swift the scenerio reminds me of that film 44 minutes.Do you realise people are still held hostage inside and they haven't figured out any way to get them out? |
Horus: https://db2.stb.s-msn.com/i/66/d66ba93bb8b1a16eaf73714ab15/_h353_w628_m6_otrue_lfalse.jpgHe wasn't one of the greatest please. |
otokx: For now there has to be some sort of lull while the security agents do a fast data mining from those who escaped from the building to know what they are up against. Its expected that by now the terrorists should be restricted to a particular area of the mall.Doesn't answer my question |
So the great and intellectual Sagamite, what is the solution now? They have hostages still held in the mall and are not willing to negotiate, what is the way forward? Break in and kill both them and the hostages or any other idea? I guess it's better to wait and see what decisions the Kenyans take then criticise isnl't it? If anyone claims to be intellighent, he should come up with and idea now, not chat rubbish later. |
I wonder why this Sagamaite guy has never been banned, calling Everyone person all over the forum. Do the usless mods not see 'person' as an insult or what? Nairaland and its mods are useless |
phineas: Finally the thread is getting cleaned up and making useful progress. At times like this we should not preach hate, but remind ourselves of our collective humanity, defend and propagate the values that make us humane and tow the path of progress. The ususal grammar that has never been able to solve the menace of terrorism. Get real! |
Orikinla: It is silly to engage in gun battle with terrorists who have innocent hostages.Easier said than done. You are a fool |
Ekiti.Goatgirl:Ekiti will soon receive you with open arms. Old fool |
Somalia's al-Shabab, which carried out terrorist explosion in Kenya, makes much of its money by slaughtering elephants and selling tusks...............to who? . the Niger Delta militants were making their money from stealing and selling crude oil.............to who? |
I don't know how the US has some of the smartest people on earth and still has the dumbest of them too. Imagine them asking questions like 'there is a mall in Kenya'? 'are they tweeting from trees'? 'why should they have malls when they don't have running water'?. Very dumb people |
Qur'an:8:67 "It is not fitting for any prophet to have prisoners until he has made a great slaughter in the land." |
fittty: Idk about any of you but I am impressed Kenya even has a mall.So stûpid |
Qur'an:8:12 "I shall terrorize the infidels. So wound their bodies and incapacitate them because they oppose Allah and His Apostle." |
