The money was pulled through POS. It’s a coordinated theft. They waited till 5 am on Friday being public holiday. I believe your sister was asleep when the transaction was going on. Bros Kriss you are very correct she was sleeping when alerts flooded her phone |

OlujobaSamuel: I've never worked in a bank, so I won't be able to recommend one. I've used UBA amongst the bank you listed, but I closed the account for some other reason, not for charges. I always ensure that I follow up with CBN updates from time to time, so I don't let any bank pilfer my account. Anytime I noticed a discrepancy, I contact them either through email or SM to demand for an explanation, if I'm not satisfied or I think I can get a better service elsewhere, I close the account. I've opened and closed 3accounts with Skye Bank at different times. I opened and closed an account with Diamond bank in less than a month(2weeks). If you see any charge different from CBN stipulated charge, contact the bank, if not satisfied, contact CBN complaint department and copy the bank, you are bound to get a revert. *** And I think it now comes with interest. Wow thanks for the info I will really work on that... Am very grateful |

GreyLaw: Yes, like GTbank charging me N300 monthly plus some hidden fees without sending me alerts. And the N300, when I log into myninternet banking, it says it's for sms. That's broad daylight robbery. It's a savings account and not much transactions happen on it. This simply means they charge arbitrary fees or they charge for even their adverts sent through sms.
To make it worse they never send alerts for these deductions. They are a theiving bank. Simple!
Their live chat feature is no more working for me so I have to call them. No need. I'll simply move my money to banks I can trust. Thank you my broda this is what I have been going thru they will deduct your money without alerts isn’t that stealing ? |

Lanretoye: all these banks can frustrate someone, that’s how i opened a zenith bank account last year january for private savings and before i could even save a dime in the account by month end i received a debit alert for card mentainance, giving me a negative balance even without any transaction yet and it keeps accumulating even when i decided i won’t use the account anymore.
another one is when you have 100k in your account, they will just wait until the day u want to use the exact 100k before u realize that 100 naira has been deducted for stamp duty charge or some stupid charges...this one even weak me yesterday cos e just scatter my balance
another one is if dem give you loan, they will charge over 20% interest but if u fix or invest money with them, they will give u less than 5% return.
the funny thing is that the govt has made this banks almost unavoidable for citizens with their policies. Chai Bros I swear we’re in the same shoes Sometimes when I go to the atm people will just be looking at you as if you don’t have money in your account when the amount you left in your account is been deducted without you been informed, you will be pressing your known balance and the bank will be telling you insufficient funds not knowing this stupid banks have already shortchanged you without your knowledge... so pathetic |

OlujobaSamuel: The beneficiary should received ₦39950 While you the sender should be charged ₦52:50k If there is any discrepancies, mail your bank or engage them online. I sometimes do my statement analysis myself without even waiting for it from the bank. I don't use sms, and my account is non interest yielding, although savings account, so it's easy for me to do my month statement So who’s fault is it for been overcharged the Bank or we the Customers ? |

as for me, now am adopting our grandpa savings methods. underground all the way. I would have loved to try that but trust me I will finish the money myself without saving anything again |

I was charged for the transfer and the person received N39.9k.
N100 was deducted

OlujobaSamuel: Like seriously You don't mean it. Hope you read where I wrote if you have anything different from what I wrote above, you should demand an explanation from your bank? All bank charges are regulated by CBN. Go to CBN website if you need any clarification So which bank can you advice me to join that doesn’t extort customer like those three banks ? |

emae009: OP, open a Standard Chartered account and you'll never regret it. No charges. Everything is free and the actually gives interest on the amount in your account. Think I will do this thanks for the info |
