A Song of Ascents. Of Solomon. Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the watchman stays awake in vain. What do you think? If a man has a hundred sheep, and one of them has gone astray, does he not leave the ninety-nine on the mountains and go in search of the one that went astray? And if he finds it, truly, I say to you, he rejoices over it more than over the ninety-nine that never went astray. So it is not the will of my Father who is in heaven that one of these little ones should perish.

Politics / Re: Thieves Can’t Provide Good Governance – Obasanjo by IfnobeGod20: 11:37am
Tareq1105:

So conversion of Operation Feed the Nation Farm to Obasanjo Farm Ltd is about election? You mean it doesn't affect food production and Nigeria assets/economy?

Borrowing of $16b for Power reform and Nigeria and Nigerians cannot see any Power is about election and not economy? Are you aware that Tinubu is repaying that #16b loan now?

Are you saying that the money politics, raising Allowances of national assembly members deliberately for 3rd term political ambition is not affecting the economy?

Are you supporting conversion of national assets to personal?

Are you saying that the do or die election, killing and maiming of perceived political opponents, writing of election results while the election was ongoing doesn't affect the polity and the eventual leaders we produced?

Obasanjo shut Nigeria Universities for 11 months while himself and Atiku were occupied with building their personal universities. Is that a leader?

Harry Marshall was killed in his house in Abuja, Bola Ige was killed in his house in Ibadan and till today nothing happened and you're typing rubbish. How much of Obasanjo do you know?

Whatever you see happening today were results of Obasanjo failure, as the first civilian president in the 4th Republic to show good examples.

Therefore, if we're to name thieves here, Obasanjo should be first, followed by his VP then others that he groomed in his school of conversion of national assets to personal assets.

Please it's too early to get angry. And before you write your rebuttal, note that you're engaging a man at mid 50s so I know Obasanjo more than you.
Please can you stand on the dock and prove to the world that OBJ converted the Operation Feed the Nation Farm to himself and turned it to OBJ Otta Farm? Operation Feed the Nation was 1976 while It's Farm was established in 1979 after handed over to democratically elected president.
If tomorrow you're called to come and give life to this assertion, I hope you're handy with fact?
Just as I have been saying in all my comments here. Yes, you can blame OBJ for playing politics of do or die but it would be out of hatred to blame or talk ill of OBJ if it comes to governance and economy. And it is also an aberration for anyone to go low and compare the regime of OBJ, even his 15 first months to 15 months of Tinubu's regime. Anyone that does that has turned his brain upside down and doesn't know anything about governance.
In this first year of OBJ, he ensured the increase in workers salary and all teachers both at the primary to tertiary levels were all smiling home every month. They were buying cars and building houses and their rewards weren't until they get to heaven but the OBJ's government started rewarding them on earth.
Yes, $16 was borrowed and the effect on the electricity wasn't seen. I think that is the Nigerian's way. After this borrow, many dollars have been borrowed after that and till date the light is still epileptic.
You even lied that Tinubu is still paying for the money borrowed. All debt incurred were forgiven and cleared before the expiration of his tenure, precisely 2006. At that he was able to save ₦10.72trillion.
You're even bringing frivolity into the conversation, claiming University was on strike for 11 months during OBJ. Please tell me any regime in Nigeria that schools wasn't closed or industrial action wasn't witnessed? Please is not having industrial action during your regime the test of good governance? Till tomorrow sector of government will continue to go on industrial action no matter what. So, stop bringing in frivolity.
You also said, everything that is happening today was as a result of OBJ's failure. This your statement is not logical at all. That someone failed is that the yardstick that you must fail too. With this your ideology l, you mean to tell us that Nigeria will continue to fail because OBJ failed. This is beyond any iota of reasoning to have had such notion. It makes no sense at all. Those failing just want to fail because they have nothing upstairs and they are failure personified.
OBJ created a robust economy and if such had been built upon, we would not have been in this sorry state. Every president comes after him to do their self ambition and not to work for the betterment of the country. Today Tinubu has also come and have wanted trillions on self and family already and you expect the country to be better. No miracle can make it better my brother. Whatever we sow, we must reap.

Good morning everyone. I am a complete novice about this traveling stuff. I have an uncle in the UK in his 70's who is already a British citizen. What can he do for me to help me to fast track immigrating to the UK through the skilled work visa/ health care route. I am a civil servant and a graduate of Agricultural Economics and Extension. I don't need to border my uncle financial wise. Can he help me seek a job there? Thanks in anticipation for your response.

U are asking us what ur uncle could do for you....?? Don't u think he's the one u should ask if he can help u look around for such jobs?

See ..unless ur uncle owns a care home or his friend or close associate has a care home where they can just talk to each other and easily employ.. U will have to apply like everyone else is doing or do it the street way like some pple do.....

It's crazy man...but it is what it is... cool

Let me quickly debunk some of the lies you folks in APC have allowed yourself to be fed just so you can hang on to arguably the biggest thief in Nigeria's democratic history
OBJ did not start election brouhaha. Election heist started in 1965 during the Akintola/Awo face off in SW. Another one was Ajasin/Omoboriowo in 1983. 2007 election was a farce. But Obj did not start election heist.

Lie. ITT was a song against Abiola not OBJ. I doubt you've heard the song before. It was in response to the Telecoms contract executed with much corruption. ITT was a telecoms company.

Another lie. Money politics has existed since the 80s in Nigeria. IBB banned former politicians from contesting due to their corrupt monetisation of politics. Monetisation of campaign happened under MKO Abiola in 1991. Salary of senate was not increased because of third term. That's a lie as well. The claim was that Ghana-must-go bags were given to senate members to approve third term for OBJ which was never substantiated.

Another lie. This was investigated by the House of Reps and found to be false. No $16bn was borrowed by OBJ and he actually built five gas powered plant as president. No president under him as built just one. You can check that fact.

Ota farms was started during OFN. But there's no evidence it was started with Nigeria's money. If you have bring it. There's no law against public servants running a farm in Nigeria.

Another lie. SM Afolabi was singularly responsible for the ID card fracas and OBJ ensured he was jailed. He died not too long after. If OBJ was part of the heist, he would have spoken out like Dasuki did to Buhari which you their e-rats conveniently ignored.

You lie! OBJ had no business with Haliburton. Only Atiku was mentioned and he was never indicted. The Congressman never met Atiku to give him any money

Same fayose was indicted in N2bn poultry scandal and impeached by his HoA under OBJ's prodding. Where's the poultry today? That's the man you're believing simply because he said something against a man you love to hate

OBJ contested against Buhari in 2003 and there were no reports of lack of election materials in NW. How can you compare tinubu to obj when it comes to stealing? Tinubu's thievery are clear to see! 24 years and counting and still sucking directly from Lagos tax while signing the biggest ever governors pension bill into law. Shall we also talk about how many Lagos State properties have been personalised and even the torrid and bitter kind of politics entrenched in Lagos till today. I always say if OBJ had siphoned enough money to be sharing to gobble youths and elderly and pose as an ethnic champion, he'll be a saint to clowns like you today regardless of his failings
let me take time to reply u now

So u are telling me the issue between awolowo n akintola affected d whole of Nigeria?
Wasn't it regional where awolowo lost out n wanted to unsit akintola whom he sees as a stooge

So u want to tell me it's not different from what obj did in d whole Nigeria that yaradua even jokingly said it that "all I heard was I am going to b the next president and I found myself here in Aso rock"

So u want to tell me u don't know about d fight between fayose n obj, the same way they both wrote election results on obj bed when they were in good terms was the same thing obj wanted to do to fayose when they had issues

Go n listen to the chorus of ITT, Obasanjo n abiola international thief thief...I think that's clear n straight forward

Oga my father was close to ladoja of oyo state n if u remember obj gave adedibu an ordinary thug power to remove a sitting governor
Ask yourself y ladoja was removed, it was simply because he opposed obj third term n years later in an interview he made it clear that he rejected 50 million naira cash from obj

Go n check d main reason ladoja was removed

Only if u know S M afolabi was from iree town in osun n my sister was schooling there then, it was a planned case between obj n afolabi, the man was put in big man jail so people can forget d case n d mistake he made was he kept money in d account of the oba of his village, before he came back d oba had shared d money between his children n taken poison that was what killed afolabi

Obj gave him a soft landing n d prison was only a facade to make people look away

Aside third term agenda haliborton scandal caused issue between obj n atiku which obj felt cheated n that's y obj vowed atiku will never b president

So u are telling me a governor of a state stole more than a president overseeing 36 states even when then president can borrow from anywhere n governors weren't that free unlike today

Explain why Nigerians are easily divided along ethnic and religion line, kill each other, destroy things and see things from scarcity mind set while the country have abundance. Entry closes in one week and WINNER will be announced.

The root of our division or why Nigerians are easily divided is as a result of past events of mistrust / greed and which led to series of coups and wars.
These events has conditioned peoples way of thinking around tribal lines and when there is a little misunderstanding that can be corrected with simple dialogue, it leads to ethnic violence, people destroying things and killing people.

Nigerians bring ethnic coloration into simple issues because we don't trust each other and are greedy. What we need is Unity, which is lacking.

The earth and all things on it belongs to God, it's good if we don't get too greedy and take what doesn't belong to us.
If Nigerians learn the art of forgiveness and love, there will be progress but this is lacking. That's why there is constant friction, violence and misunderstanding among Nigerians.

In most Nigerian society, due to the divisive nature of ethnic groups, it was easy for religion to penetrate and divide us. Africa was living in peace before the introduction of other religions.
Now people are incited to believe fighting to defend a religion is fighting for God.
Nigerians are misinformed to believe they are poor because god is the one who will make them rich.
Wicked Politicians pay the religious leaders to also make sure they use religion to divide people so as to gain undue advantage.

When we talk about scarcity mentaitiy, It's the way the elite has kept the countrys resources in the hand of few people. Most Nigerians are kept in the dark and lie to that there is not enough jobs and resources meanwhile we have abundance of resources.
Scarcity mentality is a weapon fashioned against the Nigerian by the elite in our society.

Tinubu is no doubt an old power hungry politician whom I believe is gradually slipping into a senile condition. From his utterances of late, he doesn't possess the smallest atom of ability to proffer solutions to any of the problems Nigeria is facing as a state. Tinubu is just an old greedy power hungry man who wants a chance to dish out favours to his fellow gang of criminals before he kicks the bucket.
An old greedy man who stashed huge amounts of Lagos funds just to impose an old Katsina dullard on Nigerians?
We dey see truth and we dey talk am.
We nor dey play ewedu, gbegiri and amala politics.
Tinubu will be another huge mistake as president. Mark this date that I said this here
If you don't know, the pictures tell how Nigerians might be going to buy a loaf of bread with such a crooked man as president

What is the difference here? Somebody laid a foundation of corruption which successive governments built on and this is the effect of what we are seeing today. You said it was not performance issue, what about the $16b loan his govt took to revamp the power sector? Where did the fund go to? If he had successfully used that fund for the purpose it was meant for, will Nigerians be crying for uninterrupted power supply today? Do you know how much he wasted to have the national Assembly ammend the constitution for him to have third term? Make I no talk again sha, he doesn't have the morals to criticize successive governments because he started it and they copied his template.

Who fvcking cares who you people vote or support anymore, you think the Igbos not coming out to protest against Tinubu us because we love him?

No, we are done and dusted with the nonsense you guys keep doing back to back, we will watch you guys burn down the country if you you want to but if you near any Igbo person or Igbo land you guys will see retaliation you have never witnessed since the beginning of the creation of Nigeria...

Look, we are tired of this dirty politics you guys keep playing, so if you like 2027 don't join the Igbos and support whoever they support, this is not even about Peter Obi....

We will return arrogance and mockery anytime you guys come with dirty politics...

I still ask again, what exactly do you people want from the Igbos?

When the same 5 south eastern states voted OBJ, Yaradua, GEJ, Atiku even with Igbo candidate as Ojukwu and Okadigbo it wasn't tribalism abi?

You guys just come out and talk nonsense sha, it is still the hatred I'm talking about, I've noticed in Nigeria once Igbos are involved in something other major tribes begin to set standards very high....

Even up to education, reason why Igbos have the highest cut off for unity schools, same with so many other things. .

I found it is even good in a way because it keeps improving the Igbos making us better people...

Ask your self which region has voted for any Igbo candidate since 1999 with all their states like the Igbos have done for other regions?

We know what hate is when we see one, so when we talk we know what we are saying

Your mumu self really thought your Indian GF will bring your black self home to her parents?

If that Indian woman refused to marry the man her parents wanted(likely her cousin) what do you think would have happened to her?
Have you heard about honour killings?

If she can chose what her parents want over you, what does that say about the tight-knit bond her family has over her? A whole adult.

You know zilch about Indians.

Keep comparing your relationships with outsiders. The dynamics is just not the same.
Everything na Nigerian women fault.
This thing wey u talk no be lie o. My late friend was married to an Indian girl. He died in a way I still can't believe. The story long abeg.

If you are still wondering if the ancient Egyptians were blacks, that just shows the tragic level of ignorance and wretched miseducation you are suffering from.

Disgusting and Pathetic.

Africans did NOT and DO NOT practice “different religions”, as far as traditional religion is concerned.

It’s the SAME religion, but with a variety of ‘denominations’.

Just like christianity has Catholic, Methodist, etc, is the same way Yoruba religion is a different denomination from Igbo religion, but they observe the same fundamental principles of ATR. African Traditional Religion.

There's still no concrete proof if dey were blacks, atleast West African blacks, why do blacks never talk about Meroe or Kush which they are concretly linked with but only Egypt where there's still no concrete proof.
