I wonder how traders don't understand loss is part of the game. Once you post a loss like this, they jump in and have something to say.

No wonder those youtube and instagram influencers will keep on buying lambo.

PS: If I close this one in negative, I will post it again.

You will close it again before 6:30pm. Tomorrow.

Those MM were to have taken out two lows before going for the ATH, before they will have a long sell again just anticipate a move to clear out Fridays low. S bounce up for NFP sell. The month is coming to an end so sideways/ manipulation market style.

Do you think you’re cute when you say stupid stuff just to get a reaction so you can say “haha I meant to trigger you and I’m glad it worked”.? Because all you’re doing is trivializing an important conversation ( not that you have the mental capacity to understand) and at the same time reveal yourself for the slowpoke that you are. I mean most people don’t need any revelation to know about you that but some people might.

Yes now that I’m done yelling on the internet, guess what? He’ll be investigated because of all the yelling. More of his victims will speak up because now they feel empowered by knowing they are not alone. There’s power in numbers and if enough of them yell out loud enough on the internet, the school in order to avoid bad press will look into it. A closed mouth doesn’t get fed. Since he took away their ability to record him and get proof, maybe the internet is the only tool they have left at their disposal.

I’m here explaining to you this simple concept that a primary school student probably understands and you have the nerve to talk about my intelligence.

When it’s obvious you don’t even possess the brain capacity of a rat. If you are smarter than a rat, why do you need this simple idea explained to you?

Even Lagos and Abuja still have villages on their soils, but apart from Lagos in (Southwest) and Abuja (FCT) , shey Cosmopolitan states no dey for south east ni? cos me I would like to become local government chairman in one of those states in the south - east.
The rest of the so called rural states in South West also have good cities and towns apart from villages which are even filled with our friends from the south east dem dey enjoy themselves including cocoa farm works oooo...South West don try....only if other regions can reciprocate and be less hostile.

Family / If You Are A Parent, Don’t Let Children’s Day End Without Reading This by Damdeyz(m): 11:02pm On May 27
Are you making this common mistake with your children?

Yes, the same mistake that over 80% of African parents make.

What mistake you ask?

Okay, interprete this street lingo below to find out.

Dey play… Jus dey play

Have you heard this slang before? What comes to your mind?

If you don’t know, permit me to help.

Acoording to Naija Street Pidgin deeshyionary 2024,
Dey play… jus dey play means, “When person, abi pikin, don dey pass hin boundary, and you standa dey use one eye look am till when hin cup full.”

Can also mean, “oncoming wahala wey no get brake”, “Trouble dey sleep, yanga dey dance go wake am.”

Now, imagine a parent saying this to their child.
Your first thought is that this would spell doom for such a child, right?

Not really. Not in this case, no!

A mother said these same words to her child, not as a warning but as an encouragement.

That woman is Kanu Nwankwo’s mother...

You see, mama Kanu understood the gift her child carried, and that he was different from other kids his age.

And when he went out to play football, while other parents dettered their kids with the same adage, she urged him on, “Kanu, dey play… jus dey play. I know say one day you go make us proud.” As evidently captured in Peak’s popular advert.

Pause and think for a minute...

While one mother encouraged her child’s football gift till he became a legend, another flogged out the demon that made her son so obessed with football.

You get the common mistake now?

How many times have you as a parent, discouraged your child when you saw them display a different quality other than what you wanted from them?

How many times have you compared your child to another? “Look at Obi, top of the class. Does he have two heads?”

Did you know that it’s this early comparison that causes lots of envy and dissatisfaction, especially in Africa, when these kids become adults much later in life?

Prince Ea once said, if you judge a fish by its ability to fly, it will spend its whole life thinking it’s stupid.

Truth is, Obi doesn’t have two heads, but he might have a different head, after all.

Obi might be cool headed for an academic career, while Bayo might be hot-headed and channeled towards a successful boxing career like Mike Tyson or Anthony Joshua.

Dr. Olumide Emmanuel, of Common Sense Group, had this to say in one of his talks, which I paraphrase, *“Parenting is not just about childnirth or sending kids to school. It’s about studying and understanding each child’s gifts, and shooting them as arrows in the right direction where their gifts will bring out their best in life.*

Do you really know your child? Do you really know their gifts, temperaments, strengths, weaknesses?

*Do you know how to talk to your children so they listen, and how to listen so they talk to you?*

My mum once was the senior boarding house mistress in a boarding school and when parents were summoned because their child broke some serious rules, many of them would say, “This child cannot kill a fly.” And she would reply, “This child has been eating smioked elephant meat for breakfast for a long time now.”

The bottom line is, know your kids; from their gifts, to their temperaments, to their weaknesses, and their love languages, so you can guide them aright based on these differences.

*Don’t raise them the old way. Don't raise them like everyone else. Don’t raise them with past questions.*

You know these children are the leaders of tomorrow. And who best to lead them aright than you, proud parents?

And that means we can determine how our country wiould turn out in the next 30 years, just by the way you parent your children now.

So hear me. As a parent, if you believe your child needs to hear it, please tell them “Dey play, my pikin… you hear? Jus dey play.”

It could make all the difference between their success and failure in life.

Harvard and the rest all came for Animashaun, but he settled for John Hopkins Medical school eventually, for their records and the mad cash that follows. Oxford kept on sponsoring Adebisi, even after he finished his MSc.

Yeah, the economy is strangling for the majority of people, and I utterly hate our leaders and the state of things, but I bet some are perfectly doing okay. No be everybody dey beg.

Omo, I don't know for you o, but I long to be part of the circle who will improve the status of Africa. I'm part of those who believe it will not continue like this for us, Blacks. I know there's no genetic difference in our brain's size or composition with the white, and thus believe we can still zoom.

True talk.

That's how Stella Obasanjo wanted to look good for OBJ for her upcoming 60th birthday and flew to Europe for liposuction fat removal surgery without telling President Obasanjo. The surgery was successful but alas there is some fat that is necessary for the human body to function well and her surgery removed too much of this vital fat and after the operation she suffered an asthmatic attack as a result of the fat removed from her body and died in traffic in a motor ambulance that was rushing her to a resuscitation center.

My approach to anything health is if its not broken, don't fix it. seunmsg:

Nobody turned anything upside down. It is folks like you that are actually trying to create confusion where none exist. Ile Ife is the centre of creation and the source of humanity. All tribes and ethnicities migrated from the source where life started - Ile Ife.

Your Nri kings migrated from Ife. The Obi of Onitsha migrated from Ado (Edo) to Onitsha. However, it’s also in Onitsha history that they originally migrated from Ile Ife to Ado (Edo) before migrating to Onitsha. There is no controversy about this.
This one is already shaking out of insecurity. Pls what does "original inhabitants" mean?
The Igbo were the original inhabitants of Ife and had installed, and practiced a culture based on their ancient Odinala religion of peace, of the divine rights of the individual and not of kings, of the protection and validation of the weak and infirm, of an artistic and creative value rather than of war and destruction. All these values are embodied in the myth of Obatala the sculptor and creative “demiurge” of current Yoruba mythology.

You can continue with your feel-good fairy tale of the universe starting in Ile ife. We all talk ourselves into comfort but it can't be substituted with carefully research, as the professor has done.

Religion / Re: The Atheists Costly Error: Assumption That Everything REAL Must Be TANGIBLE by TenQ: 9:43pm On May 27
JessicaRabbit:
Apologies for the long wait. If I hadn't kept this tab open, I might have completely forgotten this thread.
Please understand this: science doesn't deal with absolute, unknowable realities. It deals with EVIDENCE, with observations that help us understand the universe, and right now the evidence points towards a universe that functions perfectly well without a divine creator. So even if your statements may be technically true in a philosophical sense, they still don't come close to addressing the specific issue of a god's actual existence.
I have at least proved to you except if you still disagree that:
1. Not everything that Exist is Tangible.
2. I have a simple question for you:
Let's say that A non material Alien exists and the Alien is the One who Created Everything seen and unseen in the Universe: How do you expect Him to look like?

JessicaRabbit:

I'm sorry, but demanding evidence for extraordinary claims isn't some atheist conspiracy, it's just basic logic.
Interestingly, you just failed the same basic test:
Can you show Entropy decreasing without an external influence?
A software is real BUT certainly not Tangible: can you show us how a software look like within a computer memory?

JessicaRabbit:

"Force Atheists"? Now, I'm curious. Did you just open this thread to get people to indulge in your puerile "gotcha!" game, or do you have intentions of making honest inquiry? Some terms you are citing here are mostly irrelevant. Take "tangibility" for example. We deal with things like dark matter and radio waves, both very real but not exactly cuddle-material. Tangible is for textures. I'd rather focus on verifiable evidence. If you told me you could fly, I wouldn't demand a specific type of proof, I'd just ask you to, well, fly. Same principle applies here. Show me something mind-bending, universe-altering, and then maybe we can talk about "objective proof."
Apart from the fact that we know that programmers must have programmed our washing machine: can you show with some objective proof that the washing machine is run by a software?

I am curious (don't tell me its the effects it produces) or it will be used against you (and you should honourably accept the conclusion).

JessicaRabbit:

Since you want to play "define everything" so badly, then I guess we both need to define "concrete" and "objectively" too. Shouldn't be fuzzy at all, right?
You can take the lead as I have defined my terms: Atheists on Nairaland have ways of twisting simple and concise definitions to serve their purpose.

JessicaRabbit:

Are we assuming Martians are nature's engineers now? Because unless this device builds furniture and writes haiku, I think "evolved" might be a bit of a stretch.
All I am saying is stating the obvious:
If a computer was found on mars, we would conclude that it was brought there by some intelligent creatures and not that the computer evolved after trillions of years from the martian soil.

JessicaRabbit:

Let's say we're exploring the building blocks of consciousness. I posit that testing your postulates might be easier said than done. How do we objectively measure a subjective experience like "feeling the environment"? And even if we could, wouldn't that just be measuring the physical processes behind it?
Are you concluding that consciousness is NOT real?
Other than "effects" what is your physical and objective proof of consciousness (What is its mass, colour, frequency, dimensions etc)?

JessicaRabbit:

Subjective experiences like these dreams can be analyzed through a more objective lens. They could actually tell us something about you, your interests, and maybe even your anxieties. But to claim they represent some absolute truth, well, that's where things get a little dicey.
No madam.
You can only know when a person is likely dreaming because of the movements of the eyes during sleep, otherwise, there is NO way to determine the content of anyone's dream.

I guess, Dreams do NOT exist by the application of you Atheists philosophy!
IS their any instrument that can narrate any ones dream?
No!

JessicaRabbit:

You should be careful not to conflate thermodynamic entropy with casual chains. Increase in entropy only signifies a growing uniformity in energy distribution throughout time. It doesn't forbid infinite regress -- a completely philosophical (not physical) concept -- at all. Physics tells us about the behavior of the universe, but it doesn't dictate the rules of logic or metaphysics. The universe having a beginning doesn't inherently negate the possibility of an infinite regress in a logical sense; it just means our universe had a starting point in its current form. So, while the heat death might put a damper on future cosmic shenanigans, it doesn't logically preclude an infinite regress. It's like saying because the party ends at midnight, there couldn't have been an infinite number of songs on the playlist. The playlist's potential infinity isn't limited by the party's curfew.
What a contradiction?
Increase in Entropy is increase in disorderliness. At maximum entropy, there is no single energy difference between one point and another. Energy difference is zero. Matter ceases to exist.

It is not a mere philosophical argument: it is simple physics
If the Entropy of the Universe is increasing, it proves that Infinite regress of cause and effect is impossible.

Except you can show me that somehow a physics exist where the Entropy of the Universe will start decreasing at a point.
I am waiting

JessicaRabbit:

You're still dancing around the maypole of semantics here. The beauty of scientific theories is precisely their falsifiability. It's what makes science so dynamic and self-correcting. Unlike dogma, science welcomes challenges and revisions. It thrives on them. However, a theory being falsifiable doesn't make it flimsy or unreliable. It makes it robust. It's like building a bridge that can withstand earthquakes: it's designed to adapt and survive new data, not crumble at the first tremor of doubt. I should probably remind you as well that laws and theories in science play different roles. Laws describe the patterns we observe; theories explain why those patterns exist. Newton's law of universal gravitation tells us that objects attract with a force directly proportional to their masses and inversely proportional to the square of the distance between their centers. But it was Einstein's theory of general relativity that explained the "why" by describing gravity as the warping of spacetime. So, when you simply say a theory is an explanation for observable effects, you might be selling it short. It's the best explanation we have that fits all the current evidence. And if a new theory comes along that explains the evidence better, then huzzah! Science marches on, and our understanding deepens.
See how you praise the god of Science.
Nature indeed abhors a vacuum.

When a person rejects the Creator, he automatically replaces Him with something far less, an idol.

JessicaRabbit:

Without a conscious entity to perform the act of counting, does 1, 3 or 4 have any actual meaning? These are not just symbols but concepts that require a mind to define their relationships. In a universe devoid of consciousness, there would be no 1 apple plus 3 apples equals 4 apples because there would be no concept of "apple", let alone 1 or 4. To say that mathematics exists independently of us is to imbue these abstract concepts with a sort of mystical autonomy they simply do not possess.
It seems you dont get this point:
Does it matter if a person is a 100% numerical illiterate, 2+3 will always be 5.

What I was saying in other words is: Even if no humans existed in the world, 1+3 will still be 4.
Mathematics exist regardless of whether we know it or not.

Mathematics is just a discovery of some of the numeric laws on which our reality is founded. Pythagoras theory had been in operation well before it was discovered.

JessicaRabbit:

Of course not! However, even the sturdiest instruction manual needs a machine to operate on. That's my point. Stop making me repeat myself please.
LOGIC does NOT require humans to be TRUE?
The implication is that the coherence of LOGIC was not a human construct: it is fundamental to the universe.

JessicaRabbit:

Wrong. The law of entropy doesn't negate the concept of infinite regress; it merely describes the behavior of energy in a closed system. If we reach maximum entropy, we're talking about a state of equilibrium, not the cessation of all processes.
It does ma!
Please check!

JessicaRabbit:

Fair enough. So, tell me, does your toaster understand cause and effect when it pops after sufficiently browning your bread? Or is it just divinely ordained toast?
No!
Because they are not conscious!

JessicaRabbit:

Where? As far as I can tell, you're only retreating to the comfort of "...we've trashed this out!", which is pretty much the universal euphemism for "I've run out of arguments and logic, but I still want to sound profound!" in debates. But if you insist, then we can just agree to disagree, and I'll let the universe's weirdness and non-conformist nature have the final say.
LOL!

JessicaRabbit:

They don't hold coding bootcamps for atoms, my dear. Their properties are fundamental, not programmed.
Why dont you answer he question:
Atoms and Molecule is the building blocks of any cell: at what point did they acquire data and instructions? (I need you to explain the evolution from atoms to DNA)

JessicaRabbit:

Why don't we start with the fact that the universe was around for about 9 billion years before Earth even formed, and humans only popped up in the last minute of the cosmic day. If we were the main event of the entire program, it seems the universe had quite a lot of time to kill, doesn't it? To be honest, while scientists are still working out the kinks in the theory that the universe creates itself, I personally think it's a far more plausible scenario than thinking a cosmic extraterrestrial with a penchant for humanoids decided to sprinkle a little stardust here and not on the other billion galaxies. talk about playing favorites.
You've just said this:
Even though we don't yet know the answer to how the Universe got created, we are working on it. Any other theory is better than "God Created the Universe"!

You argue so passionately like someone who knows the answer!
I asked a question:
Let's say that A non material Alien exists and the Alien is the One who Created Everything seen and unseen in the Universe: How do you expect Him to look like?

JessicaRabbit:

This comparison would only hold water if the computer chip had evolved from a primordial soup of silicon, and the hardware had assembled itself through natural selection. Unfortunately for you, that's not how computer chips are made.
Perhaps. But it does nothing for your argument.
It did: the computer chip had evolved from a primordial soup of silicon, and the hardware had assembled itself through natural selection..
Silicon and the dopants Boron and Aluminium are elements abundant in the earth!

There was one lecturer like this in absu many years ago... But our girls don't talk about him.

It's as if they enjoyed his lasciviousness towards them

What concerns VVD to foden vs Palmer. When you nor see talk again you bring in another player. Foden and Palmer are both attackers, playing same position so it is a fair argument. Palmer beats Foden in all metrics; eye test, goals and assist and number of man of the match awards on match days. Foden won best player due to injury to Halaand at some point, if not, Halaand actaully dominated man of the match award for city on match days like Palmer for Chelsea.
Wait.

Goals and assists did not matter for VVD right? Cool.

If Goals and assists are fair game. I assume Palmer had 19 non-penalty goals right? And those goals helped his team win the league right?

Because you said Foden won because Haaland was injured. So that means, even with a handicap, Foden elevated his team to a higher level abi? When Foden's striker was not playing, Foden still went on to decide games for his team abi? And his team was the best team?

What goals and assists mattered for VVD when he won EPL player of the year?

Start from somewhere. You are talking all over the place.

Are they cowards? I don't think so. What was the military doing in a civilian environment? Most of you don't use your head to understand that actions comes with reactions. What was the action that caused the reaction no one wants to talk about that.
Don't mind them. No civilian in their right senses will attack a uniformed army personnel. Those semi-literate, power drunk Lance Corporals are very fond of being violent towards civilians. Imagine one of them slapping an unarmed, defenceless woman into a dead faint last week. They probably took the same barbaric behavior to the Plaza and got a taste of their own medicine.

I agree that it is a crime to manhandle any uniformed officer of the law, but the soldiers themselves don't respect their sacred uniform.
