How is Nigeria suppose to move from 39th position to 13t: position considering our mono-economy without the zeal for diversification. Aaaw! I see; it was projected that the Nigerian oil will dry-up in 2040. Only then would our leaders wake-up to reality to diversify the ecanomy; if not Nigeria may even fall to 70th postision in 2050. #projection. |

This issue about who gets a 2.1 or first class is not really an issue to ponder about. The Nigeria of today doesnot believe in meritocracy but mediocrity; that's why you see people with WASSCE contesting for presidential position when a first class or distinction graduate is struggling to survive. I am saying this because am a living witness. The last concluded DSSC 23 selection Board of the Nigerian Army was an eye-opener. I graduated with a distinction in Accountancy coupled with my qualification as an ACA;I decided to apply to the finance corp. Three weeks later, the final list came out and my name was missing. To my greatest surprise, a friend of mine who graduated with a Lower Credit without an additional qualification was shortlisted for the same corp.in fact, he was number one from his state.
