Frm the link, http://decisions.fct-cf.gc.ca/fc-cf/decisions/en/item/223933/index.do I think is NOC mis-match that led to the rejection of the PR. If I read it correctly.

Sasks,Manitoba and Nova-scotia do not require a job offer before nomination. Same as Ontario. Most people (if not all) on this thread do not have "full time job offers" and we dey pool, or hv gotten ITA or PPR or in the process.
All u need to get into the EE pool is 67 out of d 100 point criteria.
hello everyone, this rating system has changed since express entry started to minimum of 450 CRS out of 1200 CRS before you can get invitation to apply.

@ OP price of materials have gone up but i am not trying to justify the quote but i think it is near fair. My only concern is the quote for beams. I can asure you that if you knock off the quote for the beams, the quote is fair. Stick to your current builder and tell him to remove the beam side of the quote. Thnks

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Forum For Drilling Rig Jobs by seedgie(m): 4:09pm On Jun 05, 2015
onyefin:
I've observed that rig workers are set of employee sourced and recruited secretly. Leaving many intending and interested seekers with less information on how to go about getting one.
Drilling Jobs are one of the most challenging jobs that require strength and experience in addition to trainings depending on the kind position such as:
1. Roustabout
2. Floor hand
3. Derick
4. Mud men
5. Electrician/Chief Electrician
6. Mechanic/Chief Mechanic
7. Medic
8. Safety officer
9. Clerk
10. Drillers/Assistant Driller
11. Tool pusher
Most times third party contractors are involved in sourcing for these workers and further i details shows that this agents have no address and point were applications could be submitted, restricting selections to who you know in the industry.
With the changes in the hydrocarbon industries and government power, new Rigs are expected to commence jobs soon, hence I created this post to initiate posting of these jobs here to help interested applicants get their desired job.
*** Note*** Offshore and Onshore jobs are welcomed.
Nice work

ifoundmyperfect: 4. Join Professional Social Network
LinkedIn is one powerful social networking platform for professionals. You never can tell if you have what may interest a potential employer. Create a catchy profile. Upload a decent picture of youself. Most companies overseas always like a visual image of whom they wish to connect with or contact. No lies or falsification!

5. Engage In Research Projects
For those that think going for ones masters is a luxury, try carrying out research. Write technical papers. I have a friend who was hired recently without a masters, but has lots of published research papers to his credit. During the course of his interview, after any statement he makes that is related to the question being asked, he refers them to his paper saying he has carried out a research in that area. They were marveled. You won't believe the offer they made him if I tell you. His research and self-development was his selling point to that company that eventually hired him.

Lastly,

6. Good Resume
Prepare your resume to look like that of a geoscientist. You are a professional, not one in any monotonous disciplines. Try to represent! It should be aesthetically appealing to your potential employee with an interesting content oh!

Please careful go through all I've just disclosed to you.
Pray...
Set your goals...
Work hard toward achieving them... Hopefully, your expectations will become your reality. All the best!

Chukky77: Hi please i have a few questions though ive been reading through the thread.

1. for processing fee do i need a gtb account to be able to raise a draft with them?
2. what happens if your application doesn't go through? will the draft be returned to you of how does it work?
3. i'm finding it difficult getting a work reference with all the comprehensive information due to work plicies at my former job although i have lots of correspondence including employment, promotions, salary increases. how do i get self attested job letter? from a lawyer or what body?
4. can i use pension statement as part or all of my proof of funds?

I'm sorry if these questions have been answered earlier, ive gone through a lot of the thread but it doesnt seem definite . Thanks
hello guys, pls i like to also know about the question 3 in the above quote. That is the self attested refrence letter, though i am shilling for express entry cos of my masters program and POF.

Guess you are good with public address system!...or perhaps didnt concentrate enough for the headset usage!
Practising at home with my headset,I was constantly getting 8 and 9 band marks but with my 500% concentration,I could only muster 6.5.
If only I have the privilege of using headset,I will constantly be assured of minimum of 23 points....it will only afford me the chance to prepare for reading whose time limit isn't always enough!
Cheers.

Properties / Re: Pile Or Raft Foundation Which Will Be Ideal? by seedgie(m): 4:51am On Nov 01, 2013
Reference:

No sir, piles can be used to support ANY kind of load. Those shanties built on the lagoon are resting on 'piles'. The shacks weigh practically nothing. Why don't they use rafts: one - cost, piles are cheaper. Two and you raft lovers better know this. If the density of the soil changes particularly if the density falls due to water ingress (flooding), the raft can fail by submergence and this has happened in Lekki and happened in Bayelsa during last year's flooding.

@SIR BANYE; nice one

I am a geologist with key interest in engineering geology/ foundation design. i know what am saying, raft foundation has never failed me but it doesn't make it the best. in foundation design you put the nature of soil, structural load & the economics of the foundation design into consideration before you adopt a suitable foundation for the building. pile foundation is too expensive for the structure (a storey building). have u asked your self why the two engrs defer on the type of foundation to adopt without carrying out soil test?
