frumentius:The MI-26 is a beast 'size wise' . The way the -28 was dwarfed made me go WOW! |
If only the government listens. ![]() |
Can't stop laughing at this picture. Politicians haven't changed much in Nigeria. To be fair to the man he could be suffering from jet lag. |
***Bows head to observe 2 minutes silence*** The Nigerian youth needs to be rescued from being a worthless and endangered species. |
I wish I could see a comprehensive analysis of how this former governor achieve so much in four years. There will be so much to learn from this. How did Lateef Jakande accomplish all this? |
Called 'Okukor' I think.
|
I can't imagine the pain this folks are going through. For God sake where is the state government? When I also think about the federal government 'silence' it makes me realize that people are really on their own in this country. #Weepingformypeople. |
Lovely. |
onowu007:I am thanking you already. Thank you for your good and generous heart. What you've shared is priceless. |

MISSNORA:Quite unfortunate. I've had enough of this. |
I received three texts within a time frame of 10 seconds from Airtel this afternoon informing me that N120 has been deducted from my balance this afternoon for a service I was not aware exists nor subscribe to.N120 is something I can afford to give away but when this occurs regularly from Airtel and is done to other Nigerians then I just have to speak up. I made a call to Airtel's customer care; the rep told me there was nothing he could do about it. Can someone please tell me if we have an agency in Nigeria where our complaints can be addressed? |
I am sick and peeved at the recent barrage of hate directed at Igbo identity recently on this forum. Really unfortunate that posters now use this tribal card to get their thread more views; really sickening ***Vomits on thread*** |
Damn! Me got serious work to do man, serious work man! @Topic: It's good seeing a relatively "young" business group in Nigeria grow this fast. I hope diversifying their business line will come soon. Kudos to the CEO and his team. Modified: The group is already diversifying. |
alabiyemmy:This should be your plan A Emeka. |
Dude if you have the opportunity to travel abroad take it. If you want to stay back in the country have concrete plans with contigencies i.e. back up plans. Like this: if I can't find a job after graduating what is my plan B; and if plan B fails what will be my plan C. Just like you correctly asserted Nigeria is a tough environment. To live in it with just one line of action may be suicidal. |
@Bosco; I am as curious as you are to know these mini-businesses but on my part I think the advent of the internet and the widespread us of smartphones by young adults in Nigeria can be seen as a leverage. Personally I am looking at ways of exploiting this to create a mini-business of my own. To be clear on your question Bosco are you refering to examples of the challenges or the mini-businesses? |
Only Africans can develop Africa. We need to start looking for home grown solutions to our problems; problems we face as individuals, family, community or nation. As an individual lift yourself up then help lift others around you up. The change we seek must come from inside out, bottom up. |
bosco9:The mini business you can engage in as a young adult which may hopefully grow into a regular income generating business. But like I mentioned in my initial post there are challenges young adults face on this path which can be surmounted. |
Valuable thread here. I'll like to know what 'mini-hustles' are available in this time and age. Likewise how to overcome obstacles like limited capital, lack of market knowledge etc. I strongly believe these obstacles are surmountable but HOW? Anyone with real life experience like to share? |
Well, I see no picture Modified: Bridesmaids sitting on the laps of the dudes. Though I thought the ladies were like dwarfs and likes |
@Coogar; Now thats funny! Personally it's been a source of worry for me lately: getting a girl who will be committed to staying fit as I am. After all the 5 1/2 packs I am working out on is partly because of her. I am like "I want to be my best for my boo", and she's like "whatever! I just need me a made man". WTF!!!! |
coogar:CHISOS!!!!! Coogar don finish me ooooo! ROTLMSAO!!!!! Sambarry and you must obviously have had some serious e-quarrels in the past and this current one seems to be a carry over. Fascinating and funny! On this topic I believe Coogar echoes my thought on the wife's responsibility for keeping herself fit and attractive for the husband. Nothing peeves me as much as a relatively young woman with a protruding belly who ain't pregnant though! Yikessss! |
Djhack1:X-fire and Timmy addressed your question a few pages back while attending to mine; you will find their posts insightful and enlightening. By the way are you a PM graduate or professional? Love to hear your view. |
prettythicksme:You need to read his posts on the last topic he posted. The dude just lost it like an hyperactive teenager. I think he couldn't fully relate with how most Naija babes relate with their male counterparts. Most of our babes don't say what's truly on their mind because of the culture and the fear of looking needy. And to make matters complex Tech's crush was a traditional Yoruba girl. I mean how complex can they get. Babes like these don't find it easy opening up to you. |
I wonder how things turned out between Tech and his Yoruba 'crush'? |
You mentioned that you currently work in the project management department of your organisation, didn't you? |
@ Babystathopoulos: Thank you for taking the time out to advise and share your thoughts with me and others. @ Timmy: I find it hard to use words to express how grateful I am for the deep analysis you just gave but nevertheless: Thank you dearly. About the software knowledge: one of the courses being offered in my department in my finals is Computer Based Project Management and we are focusing on MS Project extensively. About you not being aware of PM as a first degree: I absolutely get that a lot from people. When I tell them my discipline they are like "pro...what...". LOL The course is a five year programme in my school and you will be groomed in Engineering, Sciences, Management, Accounting, Operations Management etc. before capping it up with the real deal: Project Management. Needless to say you have to come from a Science secondary education background with a fair to high IQ to cope. Once again: thank you two. |
@ Xfire, Timmy, Syenite, RentedReality and all Please I need your wisdom; I am currently in my final year studying for a B Tech in Project Management Technology. I would love to know what "extra things" to do or acquire to boost my chances of securing a job in the oil and gas industry. The buzz in my department right now is about acquiring a professional qualification like PMI's CAPM or PMP. Your insights will be very appreciated. Thank you. By the way I am currently on a 2:1 standing. |
