I doubt Nigerian Oil is that important or a major worry to the US. The only people who think so are Nigerians. Regardless, the US can act like this because they are confident that the Nija government just dey talk tough. You cannot bit the hand that feeds you- how many of these senate have children in the US? The US gets 11% of its oil from Nigeria. They would survive without it I can assure you. Nigeria cannot put them in an economic stalemate.
