lol i wasnt ethnocentric until NL but it could be because most the non yoruba people I associate with are females so . . . .
yeah me neither, but thanks to mekusxxx . . . I should sue the pot-bellied man. Its also a very male thing. Most of the women here are small-time ethnocentrist, and fake ones too except for Tpia and FLgator, The Amaka kiss

Men are usually the ones quick to take up a cause that seems to insult their pride. As you can see 95% of the ethnocentric threads come from men, the women are more in the romance section looking for love
Politics › Re: Nigerians Don't Need Crude Oil by SEFAGO(m): 3:49am On Jan 03, 2010
Which part of the facts should I get completely straight? I recalled writing that Igbo land had more than deserved deposit of crude oil. Or do you expect me to educate a demented dimwit such as Emperorolu to the extent of crude oil reserve in Igbo land?
Igbo on igbo crime

^ Its also based on age group. People of a certain age dont really do this. You become more ethnocentric as you grow older and learn who your real friends are (or who you think are your real friends).

Together we stand, united divided we fall
phd? That is, sure, your level. Onukwu!

You did confess several times of your tribalistic tendencies and it is obvious to even the blind.
Not really I havent confessed anything to you.

Are you just thinking? Sefago is a self-confessed bigot and people like myself are only here to whip people like him into line.
Who confessed what to whom? Whip whom into shape? know your levels and stick to it grin grin grin, phd botanist

I'm beginning to think you are one of the racists
I am beginning to doubt your intelligence- pick the right words, we are all of the same race. People here are ethnocentric. I am bit more of a pan-african realist.

Together we stand, divided we fall  kiss

I thought Nairalanders are intellectuals and not ethnicists ethnocentrist
Not really most are very ethnocentric, and think they would be the best. I thought it was only the South Easterners but generalizing is wrong. I laugh uncontrollably though when I see mekusxx and co claim how wealthy the Biafran will be. It would just be like another poor african country in my own opinion. grin grin grin

Anyway, you and Olu write alike. Hence your love for his grammatical blunders.
Hmm, I doubt it- my style is quite unique. As long as it is not dede1 I a happy. It is even better to be compared to becomrich than your friend

The North will become significantly poorer due to this break up. Biafra too will be poor as hell. Infact this will lead to significant poverty- sigh man africa never learn
First things first- when you divide the countries it will take time for each region to develop its diplomatic relations, its trading partners, what it drives its economy. An economy must be yielding money immediately- we are no more in the 1900s- we are in a globalized age; you sink quickly if you are not organized. Supposed autonomy isn't going to change much mate. I doubt the economic feasibility of any divided Nigerian nation-state. Oil companies would be skeptical about dealing with a new government.

Basically the main assumption here is that the different nation-states would adjust accordingly within a short span of their "independence" to become economically viable states.  It is possible that maybe 1 or 2 become successful but hmm quite a gamble.
