@ op, hope you have thought about it very well..

The truth is you can't fight for the average Nigerians, Most of them wont appreciate it .

Help them in any way you can without getting too involved or they mind tell you the story that your great grandfather refused to tell you about your family history
Lol, I wouldn't want to get too involved hence the reason I want to involve the community members to do do the job themselves.

Hmm...sorry for your community travails but never you underate the power of SM. Take your community to twitter and tag the taggables with a catchy headline and watch pple come into the matter.

Get few of your men, women and youth to hold out posts boldly written "no water" "no light" "we are suffering" "Where are our leaders?" etc then take shots of them and attach to your tweet. Then watch how RTs send the message.

Simple!
Ok, you mean there is no need to mobilise other youths and women in the Community? Many are not on social media ooo and this is not something I can do alone.

You mean once I tweet at these guys, they will solve these problems like sinking of boreholes?

I am not even talking about challenging the state government or Aso Rock, I am talking about challenging the counsellors and local government chairman, I mean everyone who receives money from the government to do one thing or the other in this village but has decided to pocket the money for himself.

How do I get a kinda list stating what and what is due to my Community, l want us to start serious monitoring and evaluation on every project these guys have collected money for.
Do we pay these guys a courtesy visit or what? How do we force their hands to fulfil whatever the state releases money for?
PoliticsHow Do I Mobilise My Community Members To Demand For Our Rights? by sefani(op):
So, it's been a huge burden in my heart to fo this, I dont belong to any political party yet .

I see and smell poverty everywhere. Most of the women here are so wrinkled due to hardship. There are no boreholes hence they drink well, rain or river water......

I am a youth and recently started involving myself with the young people of this community and the way things are going in this country, its obvious that everyone of us is angry.

I already have plans on how to start mobilising them in small groups but what next? Who should we demand for these rights from? The counsellors, local government chairman, House of Assembly/rep? How?How do we ensure they carry out every project due to this Community?

These people are taking us for granted so much and I want to do something as I dont even have strength to shout on social media?? Remember, I dont belong to a political party, I need a non-violent kinda revolution in my community

I want a community my children will be proud to call their own

Please forgive my ignorance and limit the insults.

Thank you
