Cantonese:Nigerians been running since 1999. Just try analyze this from then till now and see if things ever got better or worst ever since we started democracy |
As someone who understand world politics a little, my observation is that the Judiciary s the most important area that makes a country less corrupt. And when corruption is down to the minimal, a lot of things work right positively for the country. With all the anti-corruption agency we have in Nigeria and at the rate which they have been working lately, if we have a working independent) Judiciary that can work without political influence, there will be: 1. Less corrupt politicians 2. Accountability from financial officers 3. Less political thugs etc When politicians and financial officers know there is no room to escape whenever they do wrong, the fear of been jailed will make them think right. I will rather we have a working Judiciary than expecting miracles to happen by voting any political candidate

No disrespect to the topic here, but what about the men in the same position. When topic like this are raised, all emphasis are on the female. My advise is for both male and female in any relationship that's not working to quit asap. www.soundraiderrecords.com.ng Music is all we do |
The Mexican - who only took on the fight with six weeks' notice - achieved one of the greatest upsets ever seen in boxing to take Joshua's WBA, WBO and IBF belts with a seventh round stoppage. Joshua had clearly been rattled after Ruiz sent him to the canvas twice in the third round as the chances of an almighty shock increased. And it was apparent by the end of the fifth round that Joshua was in deep trouble as he asked trainer Rob McCracken: 'What round is it?' By the end of the sixth, Joshua was struggling with a bloodied nose and asked his team: 'Why am I feeling like this?' The exchange was picked up by the ringside microphones and broadcast on worldwide television coverage. With the British champion reeling, the end came in the seventh when Ruiz dropped Joshua twice more and the referee brought the fight to a close. Well, I live in Abeokuta in Ogun state. Osiele town to be precise. Am glad to inform you that since Sunday 31st of May, we have been enjoying close to 15hours of government electricity in my area and improving. Please share your view |
Going by President Mohamed Buhary inauguration speech, he said the amnesty is due to end in December. Which means, its the date set by the last Government for the program. Here are his statement: The AMNESTY PROGRAMME IN THE NIGER DELTA IS DUE TO END IN DECEMBER, but the Government intends to invest heavily in the projects, and programmes currently in place. I call on the leadership and people in these areas to cooperate with the State and Federal Government in the rehabilitation programmes which will be streamlined and made more effective. As ever, I am ready to listen to grievances of my fellow Nigerians. I extend my hand of fellowship to them so that we can bring peace and build prosperity for our people |
Good day Nigerian. I have always said this to the people around me and I will like to share the same here on NL. Let me start my message by reminding us all that we are suppose to be a good citizen of this great nation in order a achieve greatness and positive thinking is one of our roles. It is worth to remind us as well that the effort of former president, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan to keep this country in unity by accepting defeat even before declaring President (then elect) Mohamed Buhary as the winner of the 2015 presidential election must not be taken for granted. I am a concern citizen just like you and it will be appreciated if you don't politicalise my opinion here as am not a member of any political party. The fact is that if we follow the path of hatred for this new government (or in the future) at this early stage, we as citizens will be neglecting our role of supporting the government in building this great nation. The physiological effect of hate for this government is that we will see nothing good even when it is visible to all. I remembered during the 2015 presidential campaign when someone called me advising me to vote for APC. I asked the caller why and his response was that the PDP lead government has done NOTHING good for Nigeria. To me, it's a statement of hate. The bad may outweighs the good but there are always good in any Democratic government. MY FEAR President Mohamed Buhary was sworn into office not more than a day ago. Am so sure he has not gone through 5 of the ten of thousand articles on his office desk to ascertain some facts that may give him directions on how to tackle many issues before him. I think we will all agree to that. Now, going by the media for over 18hours now, I have read so many articles condemning the first action of GMB as the president of Nigeria. Some of which are the presidential inauguration speech not addressing some certain issues, plan to relocate some section of the military from Abuja to Maidugury, Niger Delta amnesty program due to end this year etc. My concern is that, this was the President's first speech. It is even yet to be signed by the appropriate bodies of the government nor yet to be implemented. And some Nigerians have labeled his first speech as the first step to his failure. The second part of my concern is the insults on the president's personalty. It is unfair to insult his personality by calling him names. This is an habit trending among young Nigerians. It is bad enough to insult an elderly person talkmore of the head of state. It hurts my feelings when I see young peeps recklessly insulting our dear Presidents on social medias dominated by the younger generation. The funniest part is that some of our parents are weaker and not as brave or smart as the ones we call names on the social media and I don't think anyone will allow any outsider to call them half the names we call our leaders. CONCLUSION I really don't wish to make this a long write up. So I will appeal to all young Nigerians to move away from the hate zone and be on the positive side to move this great nation forward. If we wish for the individual down fall of our new president (cos we just don't like him) we are also wishing for the down fall of this great nation. Lets pour out our mind in a respectful manner. God bless the president, God bless Nigeria and God bless us all. Lets have your opinion |
SEOUL (Reuters) - North Korea said on Saturday it had successfully test-fired a ballistic missile from a submarine, a step that would mark significant progress in the secretive state's military capabilities. It could pose a new threat to South Korea, Japan and the United States, which have tried to contain North Korea's growing nuclear and missile strength, military experts said. The North's leader, Kim Jong Un, oversaw the test-launch from an offshore location as the submarine dived and "a ballistic missile surfaced from the sea and soared into the air, leaving a fiery trail of blaze," the official KCNA news agency said. "Through the test, it was verified and confirmed that the underwater ballistic missile launch from a strategic submarine fully achieved the latest military, scientific and technical requirements." The United States would not comment on the reported test but said launches using ballistic missile technology were a "clear violation" of U.N. Security Council resolutions. ADVANCED CAPABILITIES The test, if verified, would mean North Korea can move its missiles within range of the United States, said Korea analyst Victor Cha of the Center for Strategic and International Studies in Washington. A South Korean military expert who saw still photos of the launch in the North's media said they appeared to show a ballistic missile being fired from a submarine in a "cold launch" through an ejection mechanism, a key element in a submarine launch system. "The potential of this is that existing missile defense against the North can be rendered useless," said Shin In-kyun, who runs the Korea Defense Network, an independent forum. Such missile defense systems are positioned to look at the North, not at "submarines that could be south of Jeju or near Guam". Jeju is a South Korean island. South Korea did not have an immediate comment on the report on the submarine launch. MILITARY BOASTS In January, Johns Hopkins University's U.S.-Korea Institute said on its website, 38 North, that satellite imagery showed possible evidence of work on vertical launch tubes on a submarine that could be for ballistic missiles. The vessel could serve "as an experimental test bed for land-attack submarines", it said, although it cautioned such a test would be expensive and time-consuming "with no guarantee of success". North Korea's state media often boasts of successful military and space accomplishments, including the launch of a functional communications satellite, which are not independently verified by outside experts. It is believed to have launched a long-range rocket and put an object into orbit in December 2012, defying scepticism and international warnings not to pursue such a program, which could be used to develop intercontinental missiles. South Korea's military said later on Saturday the North had fired three land-based cruise missiles from a separate location on its east coast into the sea with a range of about 120 km (70 miles). The North has an arsenal of land-based ballistic missiles and last test-fired a mid-range missile in March last year, drawing further condemnation from the international community https://m.yahoo.com/w/legobpengine/frontpage/news/north-korea-says-test-fires-submarine-launch-ballistic-030924061.html?.b=%2Findex&.intl=US&.lang=en |
I used to stake with 1960bet until they got problems with paying winnings bonus to their agents/ customer. But i was called by a friend today that he won some tickets worth over N400,000 and was paid within 24 hours. Can you guys please confirm if this is true in your area. |
Burger01:Thanks jare... Am sure most minds are made up. Why d pointless call? Very poor and derailing. Am only cool about the center cos it a blessing to some jobless youth. But they should have taken it more seriously and make it worth it. |
aresa:So let me throw thesame question to you. Do you think the president has been doing nothing for six years? Nothing at all? Be sincere. Not doing enough is not thesame as doing nothing. Even a crawling child that schatter everything in the room can not be considered doing nothing (if you know what i mean)... Am in for change (no doubt). But going by the lady from the call center? Nah! She be bad market for APC campaign |
Yungwizzzy:Well, i guess its cos the call was from APC. Am sure if it was from PDP, you would have been ok by it. And secondly, i dont think you are aware of the existence of such call centers. Please, just ask around and am sure one or two people will confirm it for you. |
Yungwizzzy:Well, i didnt record the call cos i dont have such function on my fone. Am sure you will be called from that center soon. |
Eggcelent:I agree with your point... Though the call center was unnecessary, i still feel good it was created cos it will surely put food on some people's table. I hope PDP does thesame. Citizens (especially youth) occupied with such job wont think of political (physical) violence. But it wound have been better if they had been orientated properly. I hate money being wasted |
You should have been imprisioned already. Talks of war is always cheap with this folk. |
Na like this e go dey go? See divided Nigeria |
I have seen such a couple of times and it makes me wonder who is really honest btw them and the normal ppl... Lol |
macpetrus:Sincerely, both APC and PDP acts alike. No exeptions. Lol |
blackfase:Thank you. I just have to give my point on other flaws by our so call leaders over this election. I happen to watch some on the USA presidential campaign, and i loved it. They do throw jabs as well but in a very sweet and lovely way. You wont even know cause they dont mention names. If they (politicians) have been showing maturity, i believe their followers will also act right and will take their time to work on facts and feed us on that rather than just saying " vote this" or " vote that" without solid facts. Thanks again |
Seconded... I also receive a call from APC... The only thing the guy was telling me is that change has come, so I ask him what change?... He doesn't even know!!!...
My point exactly... I think we as Nigerians need to ignore then cos i sad at their approach. Dig up facts and you will gain new followers. Dont just tell me to vote someone for no reason. |
