ChiomaMC: Good school but your biggest headache will be accommodation if the Uni has not provided with with one. Very pricey area to rent and even worse if you've got a family. The bright side is you might have a lot of online classes so you can easily find cheaper accommodation in places with a short commute. |

Bishop1monte: Bangor is a nice area and the university is quite good. The sch's accommodation is tiny though (bear in mind). There aren't so many jobs in Bangor itself but you are sure to find one with determination in neighbouring communities which are easily accessible by train. |

Hi, so sorry to hear about your sister's visa refusal. Almost as a general rule of thumb, offering to sponsor the entire trip proffers significant advantage for the applicant as it reduces the burden to demonstrate affordability for the trip. Secondly, your financial documents and position is more trackable, believable and trustworthy for the caseworker. That said, the applicant would not need to show bogus sums in his/her account or give so much explanation whilst not ignoring demonstrating home ties. Just like you have done for your brother successfully, i have had same successful results for over the last 8 years even for both unrelated folks/ old friends e.t.c. just by stating in the invitation letter that "i would be covering all travel expenses for the trip and any other expenses that may be incurred whilst in UK and until his/her departure from the UK". In a nutshell, your question "Would it be easier if I offer to sponsor her trip 100% while she only declares her employment"?. On a balance of probability it's a YES. Mamasibs: 3 Likes |

For anyone looking for short let or Airbnb in northwest, there is a very nice home in the town around Chester (easy access for Liverpool, Manchester, Salford and North Wales). Also great for visitors due to proximity to UK's largest designer shopping outlet. Inbox me if you need details. |

You will need to contact individual schools for their admission process and deadlines. You can find this information on their websites as well. I think there may be some bursary for nursing students but i'm not sure if it's limited to citizens or for everyone. Get more information on respective university's website. Lovebuddy: |

JaySterling: Not sure if you meant scheduling in London rather than rescheduling as you haven't already scheduled an appointment in Belfast if i have understood your statement correctly. It's okay to schedule in London even though you filled Belfast in your DS-160. All you need to do is fill up another DS-160 (not mandatory) before you attend your interview in London otherwise there might be slight delay during your interview as the visa officer would need to first transfer your application electronically from Belfast to London before your actual interview commences (time consuming- takes couple of minutes.) Hope this information helps. |

Lovebuddy: Firstly, you need to decide if its General nursing you are thinking about or mental health nursing. Since you have a first degree, mental health nursing might be an easier choice as you do not have a prior knowledge in sciences. I will advice Masters in mental health nursing although i'm aware it is becoming very competitive due the number of applicants. Hope this information helps. You can get more information online and from schools offering the programs. |

You can go ahead and apply for 2 years. You have a better chance at it. I'm not sure anyone can give you an absolute guarantee but rather on the balance of probability. NB: You still have to demonstrate your personal circumstance is admissible (ie. finances and home-times) irrespective of the other pre-existing visas (even though they give you an advantage). Hope this information helps. Ozzy15: |

Very simple. If the application is for your mum. Just state their “He is my son”. That’s what I type in each time for mum’s UK applications. abuhaneefah29: |

She can show her house documents, utility bill energy bill to prove her home ownership. You will need your rental or accommodation letter/agreement Because your brother funded part of your fees and upkeep, it further supports that: 1. He has some commitment to sponsoring your education as well as your upcoming graduation. 2. He has capacity with evidence to fund your mum. Your mum’s application looks good to be honest. A few questions to ask; You have stated she is an integral part of the landlord association. so is she a homeowner? If yes, you can evidence this with property details. Secondly, are you gonna be responding for her accommodation only? Lastly, did your brother fund any part of your schooling or upkeep? Overall, I think your brother in US should provide a supporting letter to state he would be responsible for her travel (visa application fees and flight ticket) and miscellaneous expenses during her 10 day visit for your graduation. He should also state the amount he will support her with and can also include a statement that he already made some transfer to her account for her trip. It might also help to include his bio data page of his passport as well as yours. Lawunmi11: |

To answer your question directly- Yes you can have a 1 year COS. There is no fixed length for COS, it is rather dependent on the length of your contract. So bear in mind you will need a renewal of your work visa (ie new contract/COS) on or before the current one you will receive expires 24krests: 1 Like |

I'm not sure if you meant what to do at JFK airport or NY. Secondly clarify if JFK is your final stop or transit to your final stop. Generally though, JFK is very busy. Depending on your time of arrival there (mornings are slightly better) or the terminal you arrive at, you are likely to spend quite some time on the queue to get through CBP agent. You may need to use the air train as well. Once you collect your bags you can go to any of the lounge or to the food court if you have time. I must say that only if you have 4 or more hours to spend at the airport would you have time to do anything else otherwise, by the time you are through with CBP and getting your luggage i guarantee you'll be looking for the Exit to the Cabs. In future, try going through Newark or LaGuardia to compare if you prefer quieter airports (esp LaGuardia). Hope this helps etare788: |

Tkulthenoble: 5K to spend in 14 days depends on your what your income and account balance looks like. 5K (flight+hotel stay for 2weeks+feeding +continental US travel+ some small shopping) looks good. You can make hotel reservations without payment (booking.com) to bolster your itinerary evidence. Please don't buy any flight tickets yet |

Two months —Too long. You need to probe for your passport for an expedited return especially if 5-10days was indicated on the original paper. Hello2023: |

Tkulthenoble: It is very possible to do these visits in 14 days. However be mindful that continental European travel is very cheap… you wouldn’t get similar prices for travel within US. 1 Like |

You don’t need to cancel it. You put in a lower figure than the actual amount. This would typically not count against your mum. Mariamade21: |

hounta2: You don’t need a heavy bank statement for visa application if your application is genuine. However, you do need to show your travel expenses and that you can sustain yourself when you are in the country. In your case, since it’s for an assessment, indicate your trip if for a week for example. If you have where to stay, then it’s even better as you wouldn’t need to show proof you can afford accommodation |
