Yes you can apply from UK even if you were just in UK as a visitor. The US allows application from any of their embassies as long as you are illegally in the country irrespective of your residency status.

Please I have a question for those who travel often in and out of the country. I will be going to Singapore in the 26th of Sept for 5 days and I intend to buy some of the new IPhone 14s when coming back. I will walk into official Apple store and pay cash. I want to know if there is any chance of having issues with immigration/customs at any of the airports (Singapore, Doha or Nigeria). Just like 6 or 7 Phones. I will obviously have my proof of purchase and they will be inside my luggage. Do they give issues in such cases please or I am good to go?

11 weeks? Ridiculous. You should contact them and be very stern about holding onto your passport and it has now expired with the added delay to renewing it.

Yes, there are many sponsored job. The insufficiency of staff will take years to fill. Apply away. Avoid busy towns so you get one early. Good luck

Also received an email stating her application has been forwarded to the Lagos consulate. As soon as you submitted and plus the fact that your dependants have been granted visa, your documents have already been used to make a decision, so there is no point paying any percentage for your POF. You can take out the money and use.

I don’t quite agree on the 99.9% refusal. If you have genuine reason and especially if it’s not at the end of your program your chances are good

By the way only London office is operating consular services currently whilst Belfast isn’t.

You can use this same DS160 to fill the form, and search for US visa appointment in UK website. You must use UK address on your visa application and appointment.

Important note, do waste your money and time on the US visa application in UK, There is 99.999% of refusal chance for Nigeria student going to US for visa from UK on study permit. The VO knows your plan to move to US permanently as UK immigration plans do not favor African (Nigeria). Just find another means to go to US forget about the visitor style or conference style.

I’m � certain you can apply from any US Embassy anywhere so long you legally entered the country even if that means as a visitor. You can apply in UK for example.

Doesn’t matter. They will pull up your application from Belfast on their system. Just get your appointment booked in London. Also they don’t mind you completing another application using London- just take the confirmation and instruction page of this new ds-160 along with you for your interview.

2. If not, I am British and my husband is Nigerian. He has held previous US Visas and has been there frequently with no issues or previous refusals. It’s not a big deal and doesn’t take time. First option is for him to email the sch and they will change the length of the CAS via a electronic system( takes within 1-3days depending on the institution). Second option is to go ahead and apply for one year and have it rectified by the schools V.I.S.A. Office upon arrival.

Yes sir, you are wrong. Clinical rotations are covered under the B1/B2 visa category ,it is stated in the foreign affairs manual,i posted the clause in a previous post. However, the H and J visas are for residents( already qualified doctors) who are paid for the job. I will be taking an elective at the school as I am still a bona fide student,hence the residency

I feel your plight. Understand that there would be several opinions on what you did wrong etc.
Personally, I don’t think you violated your visa and you were well within the limits of your visa. I think it’s unfortunate that getting a visa from Nigeria currently is tough.
I’m just wondering whether or not your previous electives were paid electives or unpaid. Going forward, I think you a get paid elective which isn’t hard to get before applying.
I would also suggest applying from Caribbean as your chances might be better there.
Lastly, I wish you success in your future application and completion of your studies. It’s a great career and you’ll enjoy it.
