Hello Prince, You will see examples to guide you in filling the funds available section in your form here; https://www.nairaland.com/1229480/travelling-canada-part-4/12 https://www.nairaland.com/2557850/travelling-canada-part-9/62 If the school has quoted 9,900 for off campus living etc. please toe their line but you can split that into "Others/miscellaneous expenses" as well. The links above should shed more light. I advise that you only quote liquid funds (cash or fixed funds) this means cars, houses or land cannot be added to funds available. These will only reflect as asset. [quote author=princeade09 post=40580242] |

My pleasure ojayyy. Don't fret too much. Sometimes the issue could be from CIC as well. Just ensure you have your end tidied. |
I'm guessing your application route is online ojayyy. It's indeed a worrisome situation and could be due to a number of reasons among which is an incorrectly filled form. I'd suggest you check the answers your agent provided to the questionnaire you see just after you log in to your MYCIC portal. |
[quote author=kennykolabo post=40073432]Sorry about the situation sire. It's obvious you need an SOP now more than ever if you intend to refire. It would help clarify things for a VO. For one, your undergraduate study and your employment background- though it's self-explanatory, an SOP would help align them. Also, you need more home ties to convince th VO you're not simply trying to emigrate through this avenue. This could be personal assets (liquid and material) and getting your employer to draft a study leave letter on your behalf (if possible). Try and leave no loopholes and I believe you'll get your goal. |
Hello buzritchy. I'm glad you're not giving up on your dreams-that's more than enough to get you there. About using someone from a different tribe as a sponsor; you can do it. I'll advice you to take time off work and any other activity that might distract you while packaging your app. A VO considers some essential questions while assessing a study permit app; 1. Is the individual a student? 2. Doe he have the funds to study and live in Canada? 3. Is the individual a flight risk? I believe if you can package your app efficiently to answer these questions without appearing desperate you have a great chance of achieving your goal. If your sponsor can show commitment, I don't think his tribe or affiliation to you should be a problem. Just try to think out of the box when you hit a snag. Blessed be bro. [quote author=richcasey post=37270533]Thank you. Responded as well. |
[quote author=richcasey post=35473685]Hi Rich, been trying to get across to you. Went through some of your posts and discovered we shared similar interests in movies. I do content (writing) and some more. Hoping I could somehow get my ideas across to you and gain more experience. Thank you. |
[quote author=ejirostephen post=37048882]It is advisable you tailor your app to your situation. Nothing is compulsory. If you've been working with your employer for a period and you're eligible or privileged to obtain a study leave letter, with all pleasure do get it. It's up to you to choose which better suits you; Online or Paper. If you choose to go online, you'll receive a biometric call-up mail after you submit your app and then you can go for it at the vfs office. With paper route, you'll be able to do biometrics upon submission of your app. |
[quote author=kunlelikeme post=36942448]You'll need to be in Nigeria to apply since you're Nigerian. I believe that's a part of CIC rules. But you can check CIC faqs to be certain. |
'Failure is an orphan and success has many relatives' - whoever said this must have never heard of this forum. Thumbs up everyone. Keep the faith (and the love). |
[quote author=Inkblood post=36821225]Not necessary in some cases. Each app is personal. But it's been known to help applicants. |
[quote author=Inkblood post=36818973]I'll go with @thesoj's advice to you. Come clean about your siblings since it was an agent that helped with your previous app, you're covered under the oversight banner. About the FD, I'll suggest if it's possible, pay tuition and keep the FD intact (you could explain what part of your expenses that has been reserved for in your LOE since dad is co-sponsor). Meanwhile, ensure your siblings and the rest of the family expenses are covered outside the 3M FD. All the best. |
I pray so, bro. Thanks much. [quote author=SeraSera post=36626849] |
You're welcome. Getting ready to. Hopefully soon. Weighing pros and cons of changing my initial sponsor; insufficient funds was primary reason I was refused earlier. [quote author=SeraSera post=36625328] |
Just reading this and it made me tingle with joy. Next I want to hear you've landed on a strip in Canada. Amen SeraSera: |
Don't be sir. My first app, got biometrics call a month after. Online route. |
Physically signed then scanned and uploaded. SeraSera: |
Hello House, Newbie here. Please, I'm about applying again for a Study Permit (First one was refused) and I need expert advice which I've been told I can get here. Short of it is, I'm being advised against seeking a refund for tuition I paid against summer term (May). Instead, I was advised to reapply for Fall (Sept) with a new letter of acceptance for that period. School is Humber, Global Biz Mgmt., PG. N.B I also would like to get in touch with fellow applicants to Humber for Fall term. Thank you. |
