17th or 18th. According to those who claim to have spoken with someone at the ICAN office. That institute may not be so nice with this wickedness.

If you know God; you won't doubt Him, neither would you doubt His representatives on Earth. In your own interest, flee from the traps of logical reasoning in appraising the manifestation of the Spiritual.
Also thirst for the Spirit of discernment. With this excellent Spirit, you can tell which of these utterances are lies.
May God prove Himself to the poster and his allies who crave for scientific explanation of a miracles.

@ Paulipopor and Jarius; I admire your patience here! On other threads by now I should be running cos the insults would have been unbearable. I agree with both of you! Its just that ICAN sometimes mock preparations. One has to equally make spiritual efforts. I appreciate your mature contributions.
Lest I forget, @ Paulipopor; I am writing ICAN cos I need to conquer local challenges first before international. I also doubt if ACCA can do much better than ICAN with all the costs attached to the former. They are almost at per here in Nigeria so why bother myself? To make my decision finer, ACCA holders must now face ICAN. There are better career grounds to cover in recent times than pursuing ACCA. In a nutshell, I am not interested in ACCA at all.
Cheers!

@ Nitrogen sir; no offence taken! Infact your words attune more to reality! However, I am not sure any reasonable institute should be comfortable with 90% failure rate. Neither am I sure that a all of these unsuccessful candidate did not reach the 50% pass mark. Nigerians are not that dull sir. The institute, am sure would do anything to attune to laid down policies on pass rate to further inflate or steady their integrity.
I have borrowed your cent but I need you to ponder on the foregoing sir. That AAA fell the mighty and I was not so small myself. But I thank God for the november diet. Now, I know that ICAN is not always a work-over like the likes of @ Jarius feel.
And, Jarius sir; take no offence too. Just teach us your methods.

CareerRe: Professional Accountants, Let's Meet Here by Sekso(m): 1:04pm On Jan 11, 2013
JARUS, sometimes you make some of us feel so dull with the way you over-simplify established areas of difficulty in the ICAN examinations.
I met you on a thread sometime ago where you stated that you studied for ICAN exam for 5 days and still earned yourself awards. Now, you are making people appear very foolish for taking AAA exam more than once.
I need you to understand that you may be operating at some level of genius and that does not make it criminal for others to fail where you passed with little or no effort. Its best you tell us the strategies you adopted to conquer the challenges of some tough courses like AAA rather than suggesting we are dumb. Patronage won't help here sir!
Perhaps you are part of the less than 10% who passed AAA in May 2012 diet. Either that, or you are on the same IQ level with them. Whatever your level of knowledge doesn't make it less shocking to have over 90% of candidates failing a Paper. To me, it is outrageous.
Regards!
CareerRe: When Will ICAN Release May 2012 Diet Result? by Sekso(m): 12:44pm On Jan 11, 2013
ICAN isn't helping students prepare well for the subsequent diet with this their outrageous attitude of delaying results! A lot of us can't move on without the results since we are not sure we are qualified to do so. Lectures commenced on a serious note in all tuition centres about 3 weeks ago. That's a good time to start given the bulky syllabus. Unfortunately, delayed results is keeping most of us on the fence.
They(ICAN) need to do more towards ensuring prompt release of results. Albeit, this recent delay may be connected to the review of some papers due to mass failure. I strongly believe that such contingencies should be factored into the 6 weeks waiting period if this expected time period has been ICAN's position all along.
Perhaps, its a tactics employed to increase failure rate in May 2013 diet; and by implication, more money for the institute. Yes; anything is possible in Nigeria.
ACCA stated that the results of their December 2012 exams would be released by February 8, 2013. This is very good for the nerves and preparations of their students for the subsequent diet. Why is ICAN not doing the same? We cannot rule out the possibility severe malpractices on the part of ICAN top executives to explain annoying delays such as we are experiencing with November 2012 exams.
My take..........

Can a sickle celler cope with HIV? This question suddenly dropped on my mind! I know some people may just be in this mess right now. If "abai" could afford living a bohemian lifestyle in the university with his health status am sure some others in likely state may add women to the recklessness ("abai" did u?)! Doctors in the house kind think out the implication of this extremity! A SCA sufferer doubling as a HIV victim!
TV/MoviesRe: Ever Been Emotional While Watching A Movie? by Sekso(m): 4:06pm On Oct 23, 2012
Those films that make me shed tears are mostly indian films! Those guys can make love worth dying for! Some of these films are "veer zarah", "ashoka the great", "kabi khushi-khabi ghan", "my name is khan", "paheli", "kharan arjun", "black" etc! They are written and acted out with so much pathos that I cry like I am being mercilessly beaten! American films don't make me feel that way neither does Nollywood films strike any chord of swelling emotions. Bollywood films; especially those featuring "Sharuk Khan" are greatly emotional for me.

I guess you should atleast be able to imagine yourself living as his wife; sleeping and waking up beside him; getting intimate with him and all those things married people together! If the thoughts nauseate you, or even annoy you, that guy may either be a gold digger or a "hit n run" expert!
You don't even need to pray about it if all the meaniful attractions are not in place. Albeit God's ways defies logic sometimes! On the strength of the foregoing, you should make efforts to know the guy. Pay more attention to his personality strengths rather than the weaknesses that keeps defining your lack of affection for him!
My near-best friend is so interested in dating (maybe marrying as he claims) my sister-inlaw! The lady is so beautiful, brilliant and more socially advanced while my friend may be as educated, his physical endowments is dwarfed by the lady's looks and expectations! To make issues worse for my friend, he has a village yoruba dialect intonation (my sister-inlaw says he talks like there is a tribal mark on his intonations). There is no meeting point for these two! As much as I have tried to make things work between them, my inlaw hates him the more.
Tell me, should my inlaw first pray to have some feelings for this guy before praying again to know if he's God's will for her? I believe the voice of reasoning should first be heard before seeking a divine intervention and not the other way round!
I wish you the best mam!

Ecclesiastes 12:13 reads:
"Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter; FEAR God and KEEP His commandments; for this is the whole DUTY of man"

Fulfil this general purpose first and you shall naturally fit in to that specific purpose you are created for! Albeit, the general purpose overrides every other individual purposes!

IslamRe: Lady Gaga Is Offending Muslims by Sekso(m): 8:00pm On Oct 06, 2012
Am sure it will soon get to a point where/when people of the islamic religion would have a rethink and repent from their intolerance!
This way, you would scare away converts! The world itself, with its many troubles is naturally inclined towards pandemonium! We do not need more chaos in our socially moribund world due to the hypocritical bigotry (tantamount to foolishness) islamists are saddling this generation with.
Noone in their right minds would, as a religious beginner, chose to identify with a religion full of touchy and blood thirsty hypocrites!
Please live within the moral tenets of your religion and care less about how others perceive or even potray your beliefs! If the God you serve is ever so angry with whatever disrepute non-muslims bring to him, am sure his omni-potence would have consumed those whose lives you have destroyed!
To me, you are only confirming that your god/God is handicap with these pockets of proxy and vicarious wars you fight here and there!
Now, a lot of us are so afraid to have anything to do with you and what you represent!
Concentrate more on evangelism to win the souls of those you are killing! Constitute a campaign towards the redemption of your grounded image. Make Islam a model for true religion!
I AM SO UNHAPPY WITH THE SITUATION OF THE WORLD AS DIRECTED BY ISLAM!

CareerRe: Tired With Ican Exams! by Sekso(m): 10:43am On Jul 02, 2012
Jarus: In all humility, I think ICAN exams as they are structured now are one of the cheapest exams around. Being an Econs grad with no background in Accounting, I started from foundation and now on the verge of qualifying. I think the hype about ICAN being so difficult is exaggerated.
Baby, don't be scared. Face it. I crash for ICAN in five days and pass at ease, including winning prizes. One thing I've come to realize is that you don't need to even finish syllabus before passing(I don't cover 15% of the syllabus sometimes). Go through enough past questions and examine the solutions. You don't need any cramming, just understand the principles, just familiarize yourself with major topics. I'm surprised you said elsewhere that you've written PE1 five times, failing FA1 and tax repeatedly. That FA1, Nov 08 diet, is the cheapest exam I've ever seen in my life, source documents, benefits of IT in accounting etc. Things one can easily answer without ever opening an Accounting textbook. I agree idea may not be able to work in Tax, but then, if you can pass Costing and Audtiting in Intermediate, I see no reason why you can't pass FA1 or Tax.

Yes, you can. It's very surmountable. Just keep trying
This is one of the misleading comments that must have slowed down success rate in may 2012 diet! You are insulting the reputation of the institute as well! Be sure some of your examiners read these posts on nairaland!

Hi, I guess you should learn some courtesy even as you learn good english! The fact that your personality is masked by some ugly profile name doesn't mean you should run your mouth at people! For people like you, decent and informative posts/threads like this are stiffled! Noone likes to be insulted at all!
If I were a victim, I would make known here since I am covered by thesame veil which you hide to insult people! Am sure so many will learn from this!
Only a perpetrator who feels am trying to soil his business would react the way you just did!
Finally, no english word like "greediness" sir! Its simply "greed".

Hi guys, I must let you know what idea is in vogue for the Yahoo boys who are fast going bankrupt due to lack of business! By the time you have an insight into the core of their new sytem, you will either nod in agreement cos you were once a victim or you get dissillusioned cos you are on the verge of being duped or you would be very grateful for the information!
Consider the story below:
Guys beware o! So many guys pose as females on the BB to swindle or dupe you! They put pictures of very beautiful ladies on their DPs to deceive you! Some of these pictures are taken from the FB albums of some of their female friends!
By the time you start chatting, they lure you into inviting them over to your house! They will agree to come but you have to send them recharge cards that might cost you up to 10k cos they will ask you where you stay and deliberately claim to stay at some location so far from you that would justify these recharge cards you will send to them! After they receive the cards and have disposed of it, they delete you and also block you off their phones!
They use china/chinko phones that have facilities to change their voice when they speak to you! This phones cost abt 3k and it has about 20 female voices; even the voice of a Nigerian female!
BEWARE!!!
