Is that how much you hate your children? To have them born with intentional defects?

A wise parent and man of God should never bless your marriage
I thought men of God believed more in the power of the supernatural than in science huh. More so it doesn't mean the kids will automatically have defects ( sickle cell in this case ) , there's a 75% chance for each child to not be a sickler
CelebritiesRe: Majek Fashek's Death: Which Of His Songs Do You Like Most? by Semaj77(m): 3:59pm On Jun 02, 2020
robosky02:
Nigeria's Raggaei legend Majek Fashek late: post his song you liked most.

After battling a long time illness, Nigerian music legend and reggae king Majekodunmi Fasheke, popularly called Majek Fashek, is dead.

Majek Fashek was born on March 7, 1963 in Benin City to an Edo mother and a Yoruba father but identifies with his Benin root.

Fashek was married to Rita Fashek who inspired the song Without You; the couple had four children but has since divorced.

Some of his musical works include Prisoner of Conscience that featured multiple award-winning tracks Send Down The Rain (1988), Little Patience, Spirit of Love, I & I Experience, So long too long, Rainmaker, Weep Not Children and Rasta Ganstar.

Here are few things to know about Majek the Rainmaker:

1. Majek Fashek various translations of his name Fasheke (Ifa-Kii-she-eke) include “high priest who does not lie”, “powers of miracles” and “(system or medium of) divination does not lie”.

2. After Majek’s parents separated, Fashek remained in Benin City with his mother and joined the choir in his local Aladura Church and learned to play the trumpet and guitar whilst composing songs for the choir.

3. In the early eighties Fashek, who at the time went by the stage name Rajesh Kanal, joined the group Jastix with McRoy Gregg, and was lead singer for Black Rice. They were best known as the in-house band on the show Music Panorama on NTA Benin City.

4. In 1988, shortly after Jastix disbanded Fashek, he began a solo career by releasing the album Prisoner of Conscience and became Nigeria’s top reggae artist after the song Send Down The Rain became the most popular song of the year.

5. In 1989, he won six PMAN awards, which included Song of the Year, Album of the Year, and Reggae Artist of the Year.

6. After leaving Tabansi Records, he was signed to CBS Nigeria in the early 1990s and released So Long Too Long. In 1990 he was signed to Interscope Records and released the critically acclaimed album Spirit Of Love, produced by “Little Steven” Van Zandt.

7. Fashek played a supporting role in the 2000 Nollywood movie Mark of the Beast and starred in a commercial for non-alcoholic beverage Diamant.

8. In 2016, he performed in a comedy show (with more than ten thousand audiences in attendance) in Lagos, Nigeria, with a roundly power-filled and soul-lifting performance.

9. In December 2016 Fashek contributed the song “We Are Not Afraid” to a video featuring 200 celebrities to raise funds for the International Rescue Committee (IRC) and Human Rights Watch (HRW).

10. During the xenophobic attacks on Nigerians, he was unhappy about the Nigeria-South Africa crisis. He recalled that he did a song Free Mandela and it helped back then.

FamilyRe: Can You Marry Someone Like Your Mom Or Dad?? by Semaj77(m): 12:28pm On May 28, 2020
mikeybrainy:
For me I wouldn't try it, I can never marry someone like my mom. If I try that I would end up in an asylum.

She is a good mother, though not perfect (nobody is).

Some of my reasons are:

Nagging (like the neigbours can narrate everything happening in our house if asked to)
Involving strangers in family issues (like she says everything)

She can't ever take the blame for anything (blames everyone for her woes, and she is never wrong)

She wants to collect back every single penny she spends in the house (which is impossible)
Incites the children against their father (never realized this until I grew up and started thinking like a man, and honestly I'm sorry for all the ways I have acted to my dad, though my own is still fair, my siblings have complete disregard for their father)

Other things too that I can't mention here (makes me feel ashamed.

I realized all these when I started looking at everything from the lens of a struggling husband and father, and I'm still contemplating if marriage is worth it after all, I might as well stay single.... (I only date and break up with girls in my mind, Lol) cos I don't think its worth all the stress. Growing up in a broken, dysfunctional home is hard (sighs).

I wouldn't put all the blame on my Mom but I have resolved not to imbibe my dad's bad habits too (I can't even drink 1% alcohol not because I can't or it's bad, but I run away from it when I think of the things dad would have achieved, if he were not addicted to it)

Sorry for the long post.

Can you marry someone like your mom/dad?

Opinions
I can never marry someone like my mum , she's tribalistic and manipulative , she always wants her will to be done and will resort to emotional blackmail if she isn't getting her way. She also hates her mother in-law ( my paternal grandmother ) with a passion and still talks ill of her even after death , nah I can't marry someone like my mum. Asides this she's a nice person and she's very philanthropic giving to people who are in need

RomanceRe: 3 Weeks To Wedding & I'm Confused! Please Advise Me by Semaj77(m): 2:03pm On May 26, 2020
Donbabaj:
I could be happy now but the next minute, she changes mood all of a sudden. We dated for over year after someone match make us but this mood swing things continued overtime so sometimes I get confused even as i really tried managing the pressure. She's a nice girl, takes good care of me, buys clothes, cooks, always wants me to look good but the problem is the rate which she switches mood easily.

Financially, we are both average earner but I think she earns better pay than me.

For instance, recently we got a new apartment - 2bedroom flat but whenever I say something she doesn't like or she doesn't want to hear, she just reacts like why would I say such a thing. All the while we were dating, we never stayed with each other as we stayed in our parents house. Fast forward* most times, as the man, after switching mood, I try to pacify her by petting and apologising but she doesn't just want to listen.

Just today, we were playing with each other on the bed, touching each other (not sensitive part) and she wanted me to kiss her. So I told her jokingly that "but you know this is not biblical" as an advocate of no sex until after marriage. I have never had sex with her either. The next thing she said, "why are you talking like this" she stood up, went straight to the sitting room and slept there. I went to meet her there to pacify her again but she wouldn't listen.

Please note that I have not and can never beat or abuse her cos I'm a Christian.

I'm just tired. She's really getting on my nerves. Our wedding is 3 weeks time but I dont just know what to do. People, friends and family are already aware of the impending marriage but I'm afraid that if a lady can switch mood like this, who knows what will happen tommorrow. I cant sleep in peace...

Please advice. This is happening right now.

Life has been unfair to her she has 6 kids that she has no access to until they are 18 and that is if they chose to contact her. Her family are no longer in touch with her and she is all alone. Have some sympathy please.
I see you don't know the meaning of unfair , everything happening to her now is solely her doing. Not having access to her children because of her drug addiction isn't unfair , her family not reaching out to her after implicating her uncle and her poor choices in life isn't unfair. On the contrary she had a uncle who took her away to a better and foreign land and also provided for all her needs is more than fair to me , not many can boast of that. Please know the meaning of words you use before you use them

One thing I will say is that you admitting your wrongs is the IST step to healing. Give your family time, they will come to forgive you one day. Till then work on yourself and try to be the best version of yourself.
Life was never unfair to her , in fact she had it better than most people

Infinix S5 Pro 'violet' unboxing and review.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oke4QpRN77U

Infinix's latest S series up boasts of 48MP rear facing and 40MP front facing camera, what appears to be a huge leap from last year's S5. It however has the Note 7 to contend with, especially because they're in the same price bracket. S5 Pro being slightly more expensive and Note 7 packing a more powerful chipset. How good is that 40MP Selfie camera compared to the 16MP selfie camera of the Note 7? See screenshots from the video below

Price - N96,000(128GB/6GB) and N79,000 (64GB/4GB)
Too overpriced

People get poisoned or assassinated.
This is an employee we are talking about and not an entrepreneur or a consultant.

Better to present it as an error rather than as a theft or ask to be transferred to another department.
Oh I get what you're saying , of course you can get mugged , beaten , injured or even killed for telling on them but you can hardly get implicated if you follow the due process.

Go and ask company auditors what they have to go through to do their jobs and stay safe.

You will be shocked.

Things are happening that you don't know.
I'll repeat , every process in the work place has its due process , unless you don't do your work will you be implicated. I have seen many instances where seemingly innocent people get roped in such situations , they were only roped in because they did not follow the right procedure. I have worked with people , run my own business and worked as a consultant. And I have over 20 years work experience , I know what I'm saying.

You better mind your own business.

What they are doing is bad but let me shock you. You see those top people in their AC conditioned offices, they are all thieves and they employ mostly thieves.

They employ thieves as staff to steal for them. They plan bank robbery on their own branch(es) and split the money with the hired robbers.

If you report them, I promise you, they will find a way to implicate you with them because someone will spill and someone among the top officials will be implicated.

It's a dog eat dog situation.

Leave your boss and co to find out for themselves and stay clear of any of their activities directly or indirectly.

Always cross your 'Ts' and dot your 'Is' before you leave the office ( You know what I mean).

A lot of innocent men have gone to prison because they didn't take out time to look at the paper brought before them before signing.
Unless he's not 100% clean or doesn't understand working procedures , he can not be implicated

Life itself is not fair. Suffering and pain is part of human existence.

You are in a dilema any action you take now you will still end up hurting someone.

If you report: you are going to put your co-workers and their family in trouble, they will lose their job and they will also go to jail if not for life.

If you choose not to report you will be harming the md and she might lose her business.

either ways you are going to hurt people.

And as such i will advice you to focus on yourself and mind your business.
Listen to yourself , so because a robber will get hurt if you interfere while he/she is trying to rob an innocent person you'll not interfere , you're as terrible as the robber
