Lool. I saw the photos and videos of their marriage serenren and things. Baba even build app for the girl

Olamide wey sing Won ma you think say you wise pass am abi grin

Guys have to realize that most women today are looking for a wedding, they don't actually want to be wives. That's why they use words like 'unpaid labor' to describe looking after their immediate family. They want a sponsor or sugar daddy under the guise and bells and whistles of marriage and not an actual husband
Nothing vexes me more than the emboldened, I swear.

A lady will spend months planning pre-wedding shoot, bridal shower, aso-ebi colours and couple content but when dem marry finish, enter house and face the responsibilities of building a home, dem go begin dey drop hot takes.

I mean, how can you call taking care of your husband, children and ensuring the smooth running of your home unpaid labour?

And the funny thing is, na the popular educated ones who should know better dey spout this nonsense. Toolz. Gbemi O and other influential women don drop this take before.

The other day Toni Tones do podcast dey spill this trash. "I feel there's so much unpaid labour being done by women in marriage. By virtue of being a woman, and having boobs, you end up doing more yen yen yen"

Me - So you are being exploited by your hubby for having a baby, and should be paid for the birthing and nurturing, something you are biologically equipped for?

Lol. Marriage don turn salary work. And na this mentality birth the concept of push gift. Your wife gives birth to both of una child and somehow the man has to pay you like say you be contracted surrogate.

Ridiculous.

Yeah, I remember the father Paul Okon cos he was Larry Izamoje's biggest gaffe back in the days when he used to present the Nigerian players roundup programme on radio in the morning.

In Larry Izamoje's voice, "Paul Okon, Paul Okon, Paul Okon, he played 90 minutes for his club and scored a goal as his club defeated XYZ two nil."

I later found out that Paul Okon had no links to Nigeria. He was not from Akwa-Cross and was even a white dude. I stopped rating him then, and labelled him a hype job.

CareerRe: 500 Roles Vacant, Moniepoint CEO Laments Shortage Of Talents In Nigeria by semid4lyfe(m):
The Moniepoint CEO misyarned.

The 500 unfilled job vacancies in his company is not a referendum on the character, skillset, talent or employability of Nigerian youths. Neither is it due to yahoo culture, social media distraction, laziness or quest for fast money.

Banks, Oil majors, Telcos, Auditing companies, Tax corporations, FMCGs Industry, Elite Government agencies etc recruit meritoriously and fill their vacancies from these same pool of Nigerian youths.

So why is Moniepoint unable to do so? Answer - Poor remuneration.

Thankfully, he recognizes he is competing globally, so he should pay global salaries if he wants the best. Simple.

Anyways, I no blame am. I blame the CBN for its failure to properly regulate Nigerian banks to ensure functional ATM machines which is the gap filled by moniepoint .

The CEOs statement is also insensitive being that the vast majority of their agents/customers sit under umbrellas by the road side or in makeshift kiosks processing transactions. Are those ones lazy too?

The moniepoint CEO is nothing but a dolt.

Reason - PBAT has Howard Webb plus all the resources of state, and the opposition is divided.

Semid4lyfe, have you listened to Craig David ft. Tiwa Savage – "Commitment"?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3vxPZnhcgfo?si=Cze6BmLXt5NLc5KI

Notice the quality, from production to lyrics?

You'll still bop to it at parties, no? Afrobeats but world appeal and quality.
Beat is mad, production is top notch.

So why does she (and her ilk) give us "I go dey sangolo for you, you go then pangolo for my potato", and it shoots to Number 1 on the Nigerian charts?
Therein lies your answer. If you dey do song for the Nigerian audience and market, you gats mix it up. You know, spit some pidgin, yoruba, throw in some distinct Nigerian lingo, expressions and make it very relatable. If you come add better chorus or hook join, na sure two odds be that.

Na the formula wey Johnny Drille use for Colorado wey make people like am be that. You can deride it as being pangolo lyrically but you can never deny it's a very relatable song, and the chorus is catchy/sweet.

That Craig David & Tiwa song no get that unique Naija Afrobeats flavour. It's more R & B than Afrobeats i.m.o. E get one brief part wey Tiwa dey even carry note go up like celine dion. The song dey too tuush, too porsche. You know the song it reminds me of? Donell Jones - This luv. That distinct afrobeats flavour dey missing. Na why the song no go far be that.

BlueRayDick:
When people say "men sexualize women", I feel they just want engagement and nothing more.

Right from time there had always been motels/sex parlors / ashawo houses run by either men or women where women offer opueh services to men who have interest. They are almost everywhere.

Now with the advent of social media those ladies who offer those services became bolder offering those aforementioned services to men who have interest in the most darjng ways.

You would see an half clothed lady shaking her bumbum on TikTok on Snapchat expecting you to comment and DM for price. Anybody saying such men making advances with a price in mind is sexulizing women is just a compound fooool!

Any asss that is shaking on social media definitely has a price and any man who put a price to it is not wrong, neither should he be criticized for sexualizing women. Nobody will start pricing a fully clothed woman who oozes dignity
Sighs. No be na wa, na real wa.

First off, you dey mix up issues. OS work dey. It has always existed and will continue to exist until the end of time. Nobody dey argue that one. But seeing a lady dressed or dancing in a certain way on IG, TT or snap no automatically mean say dem be OS, and dey sell market for you to price. Some na for engagement, views and followership. Others na to attract man for relationship and possibly marriage. No be all of dem be OS.

Secondly, your post does not hold men accountable. A lady post a content online, and you interpret it as she be OS, na your own interpretation be that. I fit also view the same content and think differently. Na mindset things.

Also, your post removes agency from ladies. You dey police woman behaviour, and wan turn dem to robots, zombies who must behave in a certain way. And wetin you dey really talk be say a woman cannot express herself physically without being reduced to a product. That in itself is sexualization and commodification of women based on their looks and moves.

Your point about women being fully dressed, and not being harassed na over the bar. Shey you never see where babes go wear baggy jean and oversize shirts go market to buy stuff and salesmen go still dey grab and harass them?

Even online, for some men, na those decently dressed ladies, corporate looking babes dem dey like. E sure me die say ladies like MercyTheInfuencer, Sylvia Nduka etc that have never oozed an ounce of sexuality or posted provocative content on their socials still get propositions from men. Bottomline, men still harass, price and objectify women who dress decently though I'll admit it will be to a lesser extent. So this thing na mindset, no be about clothes matter.

Conclusion. Men sexualize women, women sexualize themselves too.

Tiktok and Snapchat completely shut down those claims of men sexualizing women.

Prior to now, we used to read such wailings almost on a daily basis, but now they(women) are voluntarily sexualizing themselves on those apps. At least they don't get to shift blames on innocent people anymore.
Two truths can co-exist.

Hello, apologies for the late response. I hope this response is still useful to you at this time.

To your question, I prefer the VTCL blender over the Qasa Pro 5 on any other day. My own opinion o. VTCL is more rugged than even the best blenders advertised these days, and it is multifunctional too.
Though it's coming late, thank you for the response.

Our blender packed up, and its absence was hindering culinary operations so I had to get another fast and copped the Qasa Pro 5 on Monday.

Still, let me give you some feedback on what informed my choice.

1. You know foodstuffs are blended to different textures. e.g. Tomato/Pepper for sauce is blended to rough texture. Tomato for stew and soup is blended smooth etc. On this point, I considered the Qasa Pro 5 the superior blender because of its transparent polycarbonate plastic jug and cups. I mean, with the VTCL, one has to be opening the stainless steel cup and be checking the texture of the grinded stuff, especially when you want a rough, not so smooth blend.

2. I also preferred the removable bottom base design and blades assembly of the Qasa Pro 5.

3. Also, from my research I discovered that the replacement parts of the Qasa Pro 5, especially the blades and the drive socket (mushroom head) are locally available, hence easier to repair by technicians.

4. The big 2L jug and 1500 watts motor engine of the Qasa Pro 5 makes it a bigger capacity and more powerful blender.

The absolute deal breaker for me on the VTCL was the stainless steel cups. How person no go dey see korokoro in real time wetin hin dey blend? undecided

With its more attractive price point and unique engine base design, I'll definitely have opted for the VTCL if it had transparent cups.

Best regards ma'am.

I order stuff mostly from e-commerce sites. Aliexpress, Temu, Jumia, Konga, and then IG vendors with good ratings.

Jumia and Konga vendors were offering the product for 20k more so they were not even an option.

Also, I was impressed that when others were in Church on Sunday, this TT vendor was in her shop doing TIkTok live, and selling her market. She panned the camera to the product in her shop, and even unboxed it, and showed me on TT. I was quite impressed.

This was my first TikTok order and I just trusted my intuition and went with her due to her warm and very patient disposition when I was bombarding her with questions on her TikTok live. Guy, I dey worry o.

I contacted other vendors that even had the product cheaper but wan karan si mi. One even told me, "Sir, what do you want me to tell you again. Pls if you dont want to buy it from me, its okay. A customer that will buy will not stress me". I just exed her.

The NL vendor you made inquiries from about a charcoal pot for boiling water has not replied my post on her thread till today. The messages sent to the whatsapp number listed for inquiries on her thread are still undelivered. Too bad.

In all, I'm glad I went with this TT vendor and she delivered spectacularly.

I'm happy to see someone share the same thoughts with me.

The kind of nonsense I see on SM these days has to be funny. You go to China and find a closed market. Instead of buying, fixing your margin and making your profit, you decide to set camera and tell your followers what you found, and how much they can sell it in Nigeria.

Now, Chinese are trooping massively into Nigeria. From Panels, Clothes, bags, etc, they have bypassed you and are bringing it to Nigerians cheaper.

We too do, to be honest!
Been seeing the complaints from suppliers and vendors on TikTok, especially the dragging of the paramount lady but I kinda think it was inevitable and the natural direction of things especially with increased internet access, and better supply chains and logistics.

As globalization takes hold, gatekeeping information by wholesalers became more difficult. Throw in cheap internet access and the monetization of social media, and everything kpafuka. Now, a retailer and a wholesaler have access to the same Chinese manufacturers and suppliers.

Social media especially TikTok, Instagram and Facebook were the death knell. Clout entered business, attention became currency and people began creating content not just to sell but to chase views and engagements. So instead of protecting supply chains, logistics methods and routes, they let out industry and trade secrets

Another thing, the Chinese are astute business people, and are always looking to expand to new markets. They have access to data and can crunch the numbers. Nigeria with its huge 250 million people with a youth population of 140 - 160 milion is a huge market that cannot be ignored.

Also, we are increasingly shopping online. Go on aliexpress, Temu and other international e-commerce sites. You are guaranteed to see feedback/reviews from Nigerian buyers on popular products. The Chinese would have studied our buying patterns and made their sales projections before coming to set up here.

Bottom line, Chinese suppliers coming to set up shop in Nigeria no be because Nigerians leak trade secrets. It was inevitable and bound to happen. And make we talk true, if your business depends on hiding your supply source and inflating prices, the internet will expose you one day. Sellers need to adapt by giving competitive prices, and execute better.

Talking about execution, I placed an order yesterday for a Qasa Pro 5 Heavy Duty Blender from a Lagos based vendor I met on TikTok, and this morning at 11am, I got a call to come pick my order. This is the fastest I have received an order in all my years of buying from Jiji, Konga, Jumia, IG and TikTok vendors. How she take run am? She delivers to the East via Night bus arrangement so next day delivery is guaranteed. Na the adaptation and execution wey I dey talk be this.
