folake4u:Edo gal with Yoruba monicker. Whatever happened to adesua4u, itohan4u or esosa4u? No worry, just a little tomfoolery. I actually like your monicker. ![]() |
raumdeuter:I be double now aiye nlo E' o ri nkan 9ice Alapomeji. |
chrisooblog:Did he ever deiiver on anything in his miserabe life? Even the Military HOS wey hin do, he had a passive role, and na others run the coup and put am for there. The President wey hin win for 2015, like BAT talk na hin run am for am. The only time he had to stand for something and put his support behind the person, he couldn't even deliver and failed miserably. BAT is failing and performing poorly but the courage, strength and conviction in his thumb finger is more than all the courage and strength Buhari was able to muster in his entire life. Very useless ex-president. He will not rest well in that grave. Wicked useless soul. |
UyaiIncomparabl:Hello Uyai, Do you have the VTCL excella 4 and the Qasa Pro 5 heavy duty blenders? If Yes, how much? And which will you recommend I go for? |
Ibime:So I go dress formally go work, park running gear put for bag and breaktime wey I suppose take loosen my belt, relax, chop and decompress after a hectic schedule, I go change cloth and begin dey run under this hot naija sun? Explain properly, e no clear ![]() Nigerians spend too much time on travel, food prep and religious activities. Travel you can't avoid but the other 2 can be cut down to almost zero. I have this theory that any society without fast food is unproductive. Chinese can cook you a meal from scratch in 5 to 10 mins, even Ghana will throw shitto on some carbs and food will be ready. I use Ghana method of shitto on potatoes etc during the week so once I get home, food will be ready in 5 mins then I can go play football.Lol.. Most average and well-to-do families in Nigeria cook in bulk, and store in freezers. Stews, soups, beans, cooked proteins etc are all stored in the freezer. These foods stretch across days and save families from the stress of daily cooking. This is actually good planning and efficient time management. Moreover, it seems you've forgotten that noodles, sardines, geisha, corned beef and other easily prepared food assortments dey for Naija? In all, home-made meals are healthier and keep family running costs down in this hard economy. On travel, which Nigerians dey travel? You think all those, "come with me as I take a road trip to Ghana" , tourist destinations in Nigeria and abroad that you see on SM is the reality of the average Nigerian? Lol. Bro, most Nigerian work their asses off on their jobs, and are always at their shops, business spaces or office desks. The only time they get off are the Muslim and Christian Holidays so your travel point is over the bar ❌ Most of my weight training in the week is done in 20 mins before work. If you have the education, with compound dumbbell exercises, you can do all 3 exercises for 3 sets of 10 for every major muscle group in the upper body within 15 mins (shoulders, chest, biceps, triceps, lats and back). I try to do these on weekdays in the morning before work, then do 2 major sessions on Saturday and Sunday when I have more time.Good for you. Again, na because you get time and live in a sane clime that things are predictable and you don't have to worry about extraneous circumstances. The other thing Nigerians spend major time on is religious activities. At least 1/4 of the weekend spent on church etc with all the dressing and travel. I send my kids to church to learn good morals while I use the time for my Sunday session. I have been in gym since 8.30 am this morning and would be home by 11am, same time preacher is just starting his sermon in most churches. On a personal level, I've fallen off and the last time I entered Church was 2024. Wifey and the kids go every Sunday, and I assist her in prepping the kids. Still, I don't think Nigerians spend too much time in religious places of worship. I mean, it's not too much for an adherent of a religion to devote 3/4 hours on a particular day every week in in a "religious house" to worship the God they serve. In all, you speak from a place of privilege and have lost touch with the Nigerian reality. Continue to dey enjoy, sir. Nothing do you. ![]() |
Ibime:See soft life wey CFA dey live. ![]() Which normal working class person for Naija get time to dey run during lunch breaks, and dey play ball during weekdays? No wonder your bed dey shake five times a week ![]() Enjoy sir. |
DissTroy:I was one of those who aggressively pushed the twitter trend Run Osinbajo run when he hadn't declared his intention. It pained me when he didn't clinch the APC ticket. I was deflated, felt like life was snuffed out of me. But looking back, PYO didn't really push for the ticket. BAT and Amaechi were crisscrossing the country, meeting governors and delegates. PYO didn't do that, and was bested by BAT and even Amaechi. Argh. Nigeria missed a good one in Prof Yemi Osinbajo. Painful. |
Osinbanjo was who I originally supported in 2023 but when he didn't clinch the APC ticket, I pivoted to Peter Obi. And Osinbanjo would have made a damn good president, but he couldn't cross the primary hurdle. With how PBAT dey move, I have this feeling that the way people go rejoice when hin kpai go loud pass when Buhari mud. Kashimawo. |
DissTroy:I do not have a weird taste in music. My taste of music is eclectic, and I have a taste for good music as defined by my ears which cuts across many genres. I like country, rock, afrobeats, gospel worship, contemporary gospel, R & B, Juju, Fuji, roots reggae, dancehall reggae, pop, soul etc. There was a time, I was stuck on Enya, Another time it was Yanni,. Later it was Kenny G. Another time Phil Collins. Another time Simon Webbe. Musiq soulchild. Indigineously, I've been through phases with Fela, King Sunny Ade, Sir Shina Peters, Chief Field Marshall Echo Toikumo, King Robert Ebizimor etc I also like many of the popular tunes from our popular artistes. I also have opinions that I'll drop, and many peeps go disagree, and be like this guy no sabi music jare. You get the point. Where we differ is your elevation of alte artistes and sounds over afrobeats and afrobeats artistes., and the fact that I understand consumer behaviour and know why the industry is skewed towards afrobeats. See, make we no dey forget say this music thing na career, a poverty escape route for many of these artistes. So to quickly blow in Nigeria in this streaming era, these artistes gats jump on the dominant, trending and danceable genre which is afrobeats. Doing alte music won't blow any artiste in Nigeria. In the current Nigerian music space, commercial success = afrobeats. I respect and rate Johnny Drille highly. Pure performer. I have seen dozen of videos of his Johnny Room live performances,,and I am always blown away by the ambience and his performances. By the way, I never said Burna and Wizkid were not talented. I was only referring to their voice quality and vocal dexterity. Remember, I said it takes talent to make a hit song, and these guys get them plenty in their repertoire, and have remained relevant for years which is a difficult thing to do. All those other guys, Praiz, Capital Femi, Bez etc wey you dey always namedrop, they should stay true to their craft, continue in their alte lane with their loyal fanbase and continue to wallow in obscurity or jump on the afrobeats bandwagon if dem want commercial success. There is no other way. |
DissTroy:DissTroy, DissTroy, DissTroy. Ore mi, how many times I call your name ![]() You cannot force your taste on everyone. No be you go decide wetin be good music, who be good/talented artiste and who Nigerians should listen to. It is called Nigerian music industry, and not Nigerian alte music industry, and different music genres and sounds dey the industry. Afrobeats, R & B (Afro R & B), Pop (Afropop), Fuji, Juju, Gospel, Highlife, Alte/indie, Amapiano, Afrosoul, Jazz, HipHop/Rap etc That all these sounds exist is a reflection of musical diversity, and how musically talented our artistes are. It's just that one sound (Afrobeats) is dominant, and appeals to the majority of youths. This phenomenon of a dominant genre exists everywhere there's a plurality of sounds. Even Yankee. I(t's the reason the Country Music Awards exists over there cos they felt their music genre was being relegated.) Now, the idea that Nigeria ignores vocalists is not true. People like Johnny Drille, Ric Hassani, Chike, Brymo, Praiz , Bez etc are not unknown underground artistes. I doubt there's anyone here who does not know them. They have loyal fanbases, sell out shows and have decent streaming numbers. It's just that they've chosen a defined lane, and stuck with it mostly. These aristes also have cross over appeal, and have featured in some of the biggest Nigerian tunes. Chike was in running with Simi, and Egwu with Mohbad. Brymo was in Ice Prince's oleku, Ric Hassanii Thinder fire you is popular. He also has a song with Portable. Johnny Drille's How are you is a big crossover tune. The same Johnny Drille probably has the best family oriented music show in Nigeria with his Johnny's Room Live which is always sold out and well attended. So they are known and well recognized in the industry. DO NOT CONFUSE THEIR NON-DOMINANT MUSIC GENRE with them being undervalued. Now Afrobeats like the name implies is a beats heavy, rhythmic, groovy and extremely danceable music genre. (Same with Amapiano). It resonates with the youths, has blown, and gotten virality in a globalized world dominated by social media. A song blowing depends on its beat, "sweetness" of the hook/chorus, "vibeability" and not the popularity of the artiste. Its the reason the Afrobeats genre has so many one-hit wonders e.g, Chella - My darling, Goya Menor - ameno, Olakira - in my maserati, Fido - joy is coming etc. and many others artistes who have fallen off. Coincidentally, its the reason I respect our big three cos they've remained relevant for decades which is not an easy thing to do in the Afrobeats music space. I don dey ramble, back to the topic. Afrobeats, is being carried by groove, beats, identity and global positioning. So expecting pure vocalists to dominate the beat-driven ecosystem is like expecting Enya to top the HipHop/R & B charts. You sef check am, our big 5 - Wizkid, Davido, Burna, Rhema and Asake, ....how many of dem sabi sing, as in vocal dexterity? Therein lies your answer. Another point, Nigerians don't hate depth. We just have a preference for music that fits our daily reality. Country is hard, economy is bitting, money no dey, people dey hustle and are stressed. We need music that will lift our mood fast and get us bopping. Whether in the home, street, car, parties or club. To quote the legendary Sir Shina Peters,,"dance dance, dance and forget your sorrows". Nobody get time to siddon dey listen to love/spiritual song done over acoustic guitar, and analyze lyrics to decipher the meaning like Brymo dey sing. Biko, no stress me. ![]() By the way, the 11pm Johnny Drille on repeat point actually contradicts your main point. It shows segmentation and time-based consumption pattern of music. In the daytime and in public, Nigerians prefer high energy, vibeable songs. At night and in private, na slow tempo introspective songs we dey play, which is logical. Bottom line, both exist and are consumed, just in different ways. On the industry being cruel. Na so life be. If anything, the alte artists have done well because they carved a niche for themselves. (Talking about niche, shey you see how Isegun Johnson carved a niche for himself with his Owambe hyping genre of music?). Not every artiste wants to be everywhere, and lots of peeps including me respect them for that. And please, the loud afrobeats artists do not lack skill or intention. Making a hit song that blows requires talent and a lot of hard work. From choosing the right producer, beat selection, layering the lyrics on the beat, the hook/chorus, mixing etc. E no easy. Lastly, real music no get universal definition. I fit no like wetin you like, and you fit no like wetin I like. Rather, J'll say all music is real music. The Afrobeats artistes are just doing the dominant music type, and excelling at it. Again, Nigerian music is diverse, and many sounds dey. Each music genre get stars, and audience. The vocalists and deep alte singers are respected and appreciated, they are just operating in a lane that will never be the dominant and loudest. And that's fine. No dey push unnecessary agenda, or talk down other artistes to promote your musical preference. I rest my fingers....... |
Timi Dakolo was present in the room during Roby Ekpo's HonestBunch Podcast interview. At some point, he got emotional and dabbed his eyes with a tissue. |
sebod:Secondary infertility dey sha. No diss or disrespect intended, just saying. |
BlueRayDick:This was me years ago. No worry, thinking and mindset dey evolve, and I believe you'd become receptive to it in future. Withdrawal is not as easy as people make it seem Sha. If you don't impregnate your spouse mistakenly through precum, you will most likely release wilfully into the zanga hoping it will be her safe period.Sometimes, you're both having it so good that you don't want to pull out or madam pins you down at the moment when she feels you about to withdraw ![]() And condom just doesn't feel as enjoyable as skin to skin. The difference between S-T-S and CD knacks is like 7up. I'll rather not knack than use a CD. ![]() |
Theflint1:The clean up no be even my issue. Knacking is sweet, and the sweetest point na to pour the akamu into the wet orifice. Any pregnancy prevention method that constitutes a barrier to my climax experience inside the inner chamber is not for me. CD ❌ Withdrawal ❌ It's either wifey finds a tolerable pregnancy prevention method, or I do vasectomy. Vasectomy is not even bad. One of my guys had a vasectomy, and it cost only 150k. It was an outpatient procedure, meaning he was discharged the same day and the recovery was just three days.
|
TrebleChamp:What's the point of doing all that work just to withdraw at the sweetest point? I mean its a waste of intimacy to climax outside the orifice. I'll rather do a vasectomy than be pouring my akamu outside. |
DissTroy:GEJ be like Lee Kuan Yew compared to Buhari and Tinubu. |
princeabdul:Yes, implanon is easily removed. Wifey removed hers in early December, saw her monthly flow in January, and she took in February. The Copper IUD, I assume can be easily removed by pulling the strings. Both have to be renoved by healthcare professionals. Other methods dey apart from the ones I mentioned. Do your research, read up and visit a family planning centre to get first hand information before making a decision. |
princeabdul:Implanon - Matchstick like. Inserted in the non-dominant arm. Wifey's monthly visitor ceased completely. It also made her gain weight, gave her mood swings and made her temperamental. Small thing u & madam don dey quarrel. I do not recommend ❌ Copper IUD - Na this one we dey use currently. It is inserted vaginally. In the early days, the strings may be visible and you fit dey feel am when you dey stroke. Finger stimulation is not encouraged. Period flow is a little heavier. ✔️ |

If you employ 10 men and pay them 600k per month, there's a good chance that you'll receive seven wedding IV's within a year. If you employ 10 ladies and pay them the same 600k, they'll be waiting for guys earning 1m+ to come and marry them. You'd be extremely lucky to attend one wedding. Make of this post whatever you want. ![]() |
raumdeuter:Nice shot but over the bar. I am monogamously faithful. ![]() |
BlueRayDick:It is not the default setting of most men. Even me, it took quarrels and arguements for me to adapt and start doing these chores. |
iamoyindamola:Frequent turn downs and revenge refusal dey unhealthy and fit breed resentment. In the rare instances it happens, something we inculcated is that the refuser must initiate within 48hrs to make up to the other. |
rabazamba:Your comment has me in stitches. ![]() But you for use your @ |
GloriousGbola:Your analogy is ridiculous. You dey talk like say FG na one-man business or startup company. As an employer, your staff chose to work with you. If your cash flow dry, worst case, company folds. Dem leave. Government no get that excuse. Government no dey fold. Has the FG stopped generating IGR? Has FG stop collecting taxes? Has FG stop exporting crude and other commodities? Has FG stop borrowing from internal and external creditors? As a father, should you be flexing & chopping life when your kids are hungry? But government na the opposite. The top never tightens. Their juicy perks of office still flow continuously without abating. Na only their employees dey bears the brunt. Salary, allowances and wage awards are not gifts. They are obligations. Already approved, budgeted for and owed in advance to employees for work they will do. Politics, projects and political spending should never be prioritized over welfare of employees, even in situations of tight cash flow. And e no get how you wan take spin am. its inexcusable and disgraceful that FG has not completed the payment of the six months 35k wage award to employees since 2024. It is simply wickedness and misplaced priorities from the FG. |
GloriousGbola:Our Akwa-Cross friend say no be Iran war cause the increase in fuel. Me, I don gbakamu for that level. Nothing wey go fall down wey ground no go absorb. |
GloriousGbola:FG is broke but but political appointees and elected officials with their humongous remuneration have never complained about delayed salaries. FG is broke but every year dem dey buy new SUVs and increase the convoy fleet of political appointees. FG is broke but politicians and political appointees increasingly go on foreign trips with estacode flowing steady. FG is broke but urgent contracts get funded overnight without going through due process because it benefits the right person(s) FG is broke but Baba has the longest presidential convoy and never reduce am. Baba never cut waste. etc You don turn FG spokesman. Well done sir |
Ibime:Lol. Your profiling of me is so off. You think say na UniPort, Unilag, UI, Ife level be my institution. Even those universities only accomodate a tiny percentage of their staff on Campus. Make I give you some context. ⬇️ I live in the capital city of the state. The university is in a rural community about 50 - 60 mins drive away. I no dey stroll from my home to the office. Over 97% of staff live in the capital city and commute to work from there because staff accomodation on campus is almost non-existent. The few units that were built some years ago were cornered by the big ogas which they sublet to others at exorbitant rates. The university community is not quite as developed. The power situation is terrible in the community (but my uni get steady light cos of solar plant wey GEJ give us when hin establish am ) Even young bachelors that started off living in the community eventually move to the capital city especially after marriage and when their kids want to start school to have good options. Soft life no dey lecturing like that. Even now, as my uni dey semester break, I get over 500 scripts to mark across three courses with deadline to deliver. I get project student's wey I dey supervise, and read & correct their thesis As per family levels, its just me & madam with our three kids, no domestic help or relatives living with us. Make I even yarn you sef, na me do omugwo for my wife when she drop #2 and #3. Also, I do a lot of chores to keep the home running. Na me dey do dishes, Na me dey do school runs mostly. Na me dey sweep and mop house. Na me dey bathe kids morning and night. Na me dey iron clothes. Na me dey assist kids with assignments etc Bottom line, I put in a lot of work in my job, and in the home. Nothing like soft life for my side. I no dey hypersexual and knacking no dey rule my mind. There are weeks I go without it. Oya, be disappointed. |
Ibime:Bed still dey shake but e no get frequency. Na as the spirit leads either of us. But we get standing rule that you don't turn down the other when they're in the mood. ![]() |
izzou:He's performed abysmally in terms of worker's welfare. 1. Wage award payment- Six months 35k wage award that FG agreed with organized labour to pay to cushion the effect of subsidy removal has dragged on for over two years, and has not been completed. I think one/two months is still outstanding. The times FG paid was due to threats of strike by unions. 2. Salary delays in MDAs - For us wey dey Federal Tertiary Educational Institutions, its even worse cos we don commot IPPIS. The earliest I have received my salary this year is 6th. Memos start flying around from the Bursary Units of Institutions, and the excuse is always "no cash backing from Accountant General Office" which is in the Ministry of Finance. 3. Promotion without cash backing - Person go get promotion to the next level but na only for paper. The salary adjustment will be delayed, and dem fit no pay the arrears sef. 4. Unpaid allowances boku across MDAs. 5. Non release/lean overhead releases - Many MDAs can't fund routine and basic office operations, especially in their state offices. 6. I hear say hin shine eye for hin ministry, and begin dey put eye for work attendance and staff attitude. |
raumdeuter:Na why I ask in a previous post if HonestBunch dey financially incentivize guests to come their podcasts. E get some things wey people suppose keep off social media and others wey dem suppose take to their graves. Roby Ekpo no need the social media circus. E for just move on quietly with hin life. In your early marriage days una fit dey do all days. 7 days a weekI be tiger for bed, I be tiger for bed. Na when you jam nymphomaniac, you go understand the meaning of the Yoruba phrase "olomi lo ma re". 2wice a week of quality sex is enough i.m.o for a busy couple. But apparently, hin no dey last. Cos Babes normally offer aphrodisiacs to their guys when they peak too soon. |
Roby Ekpo: Baba, in a week, I fit knack like twice I dey alright. Comments section of HonestBunch TT⬇️ Twice a week is not fair bro, you no tryMe: Isn't twice a week enough in marriage? How much is enough knacking in marriage? ![]() |
